Here’s a run down of my personal experience after getting a subscription on salt Christian dating site / app

I believe

The whole site seems stale at the moment with no one messaging back and people liking then not talking and from others I’ve been speaking to it seems this site isn’t fully free and after few hours it’s asking members to sign up for memberships to continue to message Because there’s no reason why you even have to like someone when you can message for free which is obviously not the case

If you do glial search the amount of people they actually have on the site is worrying and isn’t being told before people sign up to pay for the site

The features of app are clearly lacking specially search fields

It’s clear 90% of profiles aren’t verified
and people have signed up and just left there account to go ghost

What no one tells you is if the app isn’t on a Christian women phone often they won’t ever get a notification and people inboxes are flooded these days with rubbish

The design and layout looks good but it’s creeping into CDFF territory and then the site will be over if it goes that way

It needs marketing and new team with almost a full scrub and start again and manually verify people there will always be odd not genuine person but some of pictures on the salt social are clearly not of genuine or even real people

It’s clear messages are being blanked out and people being asked to pay to continue to message back as there’s no reason to like a profile over sending a message if messages were free you’d just message instead it’s natural response

Something is off with this site it’s not free like they claim it is and I can only conclude that there asking people to pay to message because lack of members and bots are liking profiles with odd real person like so not genuine from a supposedly Christian Salt Dating App

Genuinely you don’t need staff this site has probably got as well but not giving them free advice

Some of the pricing for extras in Salt dating app are crazy £19.99 for highlighted profile no wonder they have limited people using the Salt Dating App

It’s sceptical if some of profiles are even real why wouldn’t they keep you as a match without responding to messages it’s a real disaster this salt Christian dating app

I sadly feel this site has now got a bad rep with Christians so basically not using it or signing up

I had hoped this site was different it seems it’s not with even less members even big sites are voicing behind closed doors numbers down I wonder why possibly because of superficial nonsense going
on by women and I am a women but don’t act like some women I’ve seen from my brothers accounts show me women are behaving awfully but this is meant to be a Christian site it seems geared towards £

For those that don’t know ghost profiles can be many things but usually a site will use a bot to like profiles when you are not using the site for lengthy time and then it annoys men when it’s liking profiles or they claim there site is free when in fact it’s blurring messages and asking for subscription to keep messaging Christian men but it can be a profile that’s not being used as well and profiles currently on the site aren’t being used or deleted for huge lengths of time and salt then isn’t being responsible and deleting them probably because the member count if you do a search is appalling low

There’s no reason to ghost anyone you’ve never spoken to other than app has now come across as costly so genuine Christian’s aren’t using it or as many are saying they haven’t got money for membership so messages being sent to members aren’t being read or responded to and if your a women like myself be kind and just reply don’t ghost people and say no thank you if that’s the case

Ghosting has become a theme on salt and I will report anyone that does it as well as there’s no reason for doing it specially when never met and having nice conversation “just say not for me and unmatch be polite and kind it’s more worrying as this is suppose to be a Christian dating site with Christians on the site”

There’s no point keeping someone as a match if you aren’t going to bother messaging back be honest, kind and respectful and say no thank you then unmatch

It’s rather clear what’s going on it’s likely a free trial to message and try site then some are paying for like a week as it costs less then messaging back stops from odd people still using the salt Christian dating app and those that don’t pay it’s blurring messages out asking you to buy a subscription ( again no honesty on subscription pages )

I’ve looked at my friends salt account now as well and my suspicions were confirmed very unethical for Christian site I’m in tech so I know how salt and others operate as well

App stopped working but they take the money. Awful customer support. No response even with "premium". Do not pay them anything as you will regret it!

I like the idea of the app and genuinely wish it worked but have some observations:

- Kind of lifeless for some reason? Some success stories so it must work but people barely talk once they match, not unique to Salt though.
- Members/profiles aren’t vetted - I have seen high-control groups using the app to recruit. You can report but who knows the outcome?
- Their YT channel which provides some content is spoiled by the tone of the person monitoring it, i.e. snide/sarcastic/defensive remarks when people give less positive reactions to the videos and ironically this tone is peppered with vague biblical citations 🫠
- Extension of that, I once made a comment on a YT video and it turned into a row. The Salt person “liked” all the pile on comments! (for their algorithm?) and shadow banned for me trying to call it out, yet no consequences for the two men. Maybe pile ons help with their engagement/monetisation. I found their behaviour highly unethical and inconsistent with a supposedly Christian company. Shadow banning and silencing women who are the victims of a sexist pile on is not a good look for them.
- The “social” section is a good concept. It’s geared primarily to evangelical Christians, maybe this is majority of users. The tone is mixed, some of it isn’t very wholesome, people using the Bible to “win” debates 🫠 People’s tone isn’t their fault but the mods should start more positive conversations rather than evoke negativity/competition about who’s the “most” Christian eg. how to reject someone in a Christian way; it’s just a recipe for disaster lol.
- “Social” seems poorly moderated and trolls/rage baiting seems apparent. They aren’t reactive to reports. At the same time posts get randomly censored.

I was looking for a genuine Christian dating site ,came across SALT was so excited joined from the first day my profile was liked a lot everyday I was receiving likes but you must be a subscriber to see them or like them back or to contact.

So after a week, I decided to subscribe for a month. The strange thing was from the day I subscribe until my subscription runs out I only got 3likes. And about 30 something likes I had before I subscribe some I liked back & some I messaged but never got any responses.

I got the feeling that something was going on from this site it's not genuine for dating, maybe in some other countries not here in the UK. I finally got another like even though I did not like them I was curious so I liked them back & I messaged them to introduce myself & I got a reply that I am sorry you live too far & I was surprised as they had liked my profile and from that day I decided to not renew & cancel my subscription since I had a week left I did not delete my profile I got another 1 more like & out of curious l liked them back ,messaged them got a strange response and never heard from them again.

Honestly, I felt like something is not right I might be wrong,but before subscription you get loads of likes as soon as you subscribe no likes or contact from anyone at all i dud find that????

I thought this might help someone to think before they waste money to this site ,maybe this could be just in this country, maybe is good in other countries but definitely not UK.

Just try and find out how to contact them if you have an issue! It’s just a never ending cycle of being sent from one support page to another until you’re back to where you started.
Disgusting behaviour from a Christian business.

I met my husband on Salt last Autumn. It was great to have an understanding of what his relationship with the Lord was and the prompts gave good ideas on how to start talking about what is truly important in your theology. His was a question about who were your favorite pastors and he said Paul Washer, John MacArthur and Voddie Baucum were a few that immediately came to mind so this showed me who he respected in leadership. We're so excited what the Lord will bring us( one is out little girl coming this year!)

The app pretends to have a free section but it's all geared at forcing you into a subscription. I didn't have time to reply to someone and Salt blurred out their profile within just 7 hours so I couldn't even respond. Every single profile gets blurred out almost immediately. They don't tell you that at the beginning. It's just wrong to deny people at least 24hrs to reply!
It wasn't worth the torturous sign-up process. I thought a Christian company would be more ethical, disappointing. Won't be using it.

Thank you so much SALT for leading me to the most wonderful and incredible man I could have ever asked for. Through this app I was able to see what God had in store all along. I feel blessed and honoured. ❤️

used it on and off, good app, has social functionality and they run table events as well which are engaging

Salt has been a great community to know its a fun and interactive app and the organizers are great in how they curate members to share their points of view on dating in their community chats on the app and on their youtube channel

Easy and simple to use. Fun activities to get involved with from the app. Felt a safe dating environment.

Although there can be technical complications, their customer service is really great and try to give a great customer experience with continual improvements, personable touches with feedback, and actively listening closely to customers .... It shows they care and consistent with goals & mission

SALT Christian Dating app... It's one of the unique blessed Christian Dating app ever. I truly appreciate what the SAIT team are doing. It's not only for dating but also to meet new Christian friends and building a community where we can all pray together and have blessed conversations on Salt Social, Salt Tables (where we come togethe LIVE/ONLINE to have discussion about life, love and the Word of God as a community). Met my wife on here! The app was incredibly easy to use and it's a shame it works so well because I was loving the table audio rooms and the social feed too and now I've deleted the app! Website has great blogs too, give salt a try!
