The delivery was really efficient and the quality of fish was excellent. We will definitely be ordering again.

Bought various fish on Monday for Thursday delivery. Was charged promptly on my card straight away. Then complete radio silence. I got to understand weren’t delivered anything on Thursday night. Got reply to my email on Friday morning that the order never came through! The next delivery day was Tuesday next week. Obviously asked to cancel. This is highly unreliable service as the technology is extremely basic these days and if it can’t work then better avoid this place completely.

Absolutely spot on! We are both seafood lovers and stumbled across Beer Fisheries when planning a holiday to Devon. We got the valentines platter which was exactly as it was on the photo. All the fish tasted fresh and the perfect amount for 2 generous portions. It was delivered in good time in an ice pack that would have kept it fresh had it been left out for the day. Definitely be going back!

Great fresh fish and excellent service all the time, a great company to order from and much more choice than supermarkets have to offer and better quality.

Great delivery. all arrived safely packaged and chilled. beautiful crab. have so far made crab linguine and crab sandwiches. so tasty and fresh. a taste of the seaside when we are too many miles away and the summer sun seems too far away. would definitely recommend. 😀

Bought online having eaten some of their fish at a relative’s house in Devon a few weeks ago. One of the pots of crab had a strange bitter taste so had to be discarded. I ordered 4 smoked mackerel fillets and only received two which were delicious but not sufficient for the purpose I’d ordered them for. I also ordered 4 whole dabs and received 6 all packaged together in one plastic bag. I had to open the bag and separate them out. I had understood from the website that they would be gutted and scaled. They were gutted but certainly not scaled. I had to do that myself before repackaging them in yet more plastic for the freezer. I don’t think I’ll be ordering online again from Beer Fisheries.

In Devon for a few hours … we were looking for decent fresh fish . Locally caught . We found beer fisheries and bought 5 red mullet , which we cooked in a roasting bag with butter dill garlic salt pepper. It was superb ,with asparagus.

Used several times and every time the service and quality has been excellent ,

We know the Beer fisheries from a holiday in this delightful village, and found during lockdown that we could get fresh fish sent to us, caught by a local fisherman in a small fishing boat in the Lyme Bay Reserve. This is the antithesis of industrial fishing using beam trawlers, being sustainable and for the benefit of the local community. We happily receive what is caught that day. And the fish tastes great.
