Dr McQuillan has been treating me for over a year with hormonal imbalance, related to peri-menopause. She has a kind and caring approach to her practice and has empowered me with the factual knowledge to make important decisions about my hormonal health (ignoring the noise on social media). Her experience and knowledge around women's hormonal health is a huge asset, especially when trying to decipher the fact from the fiction surrounding menopause and peri-menopause. An incredibly empowering experience at Berkshire Menopause Clinic. Dr McQuillan made me feel heard and trusted that I know my own body - something I have never felt with a medical professional before. Dr McQuillan generally cares about patients and their wellbeing. I booked a mirena coil insertion as my GP had failed and I had an awful experience so was very anxious. Dr McQuillan was really reassuing, gentle but quick and made an unpleasant experience bearable.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

I met with Dr McQuillan in August 2023 for my first consultation having been recommended to her by a family member. She took time to listen to the concerns I had and answered all my questions. Following a comprehensive set of bloods test it confirmed that my menopausal symptoms were uncontrolled by the HRT regime I was on at the time and adjustments were made, along with very thorough and comprehensive advice on lifestyle adjustments that would also help.I had a follow up appointment December 2023 and my symptoms were vastly improved. Dr McQuillan's holistic approach to supporting the whole person very much suited me and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shilpa this summer at the Henley Health and Wellbeing event as we both had stalls. Shilpa recently supported our hospital The Berkshire Independent in delivering a fantastic educational event for local GPs on Menopause and HRT. Dr McQuillan delivered an excellent and very thorough overview of menopause and perimenopause to our organisation today. She is an excellent presenter and covered a lot of content in her talk. Dr McQuillan, listened empathically to my struggles of being peri menopausal. I was reluctant to start relying on HRT to get me through the day and had concerns on how HRT would impact my health. With a change to my diet and beginning HRT, I noticed a difference very quickly and wish I'd started HRT sooner. HRT is safer and not as scary as I'd anticipated. I'd highly recommend a visit to the clinic, where I experienced an holistic support through a challenging transition.
