Big shout-out to Berks Insulation for my new Baxi boiler! They handled all the paperwork for the grant and got the installation done swiftly. My house is now nice and warm—can’t recommend them enough!

They'll take their money from the energy companies and run. I contacted EDF for cavity wall insulation as part of ECO4. they came measured up, and on the day did the insulation, but a part of the funding is that they have to ensure time have sufficient ventilation by using window trickle vents with openings on each side of the window to allow moisture out.

The installer of these had no idea how to attach them and what they brought were the cheapest, flimsiest vents which are one sided and have no way of letting air out of the building. Worse still they attached one with screws the wrong way up which broke the hinge on the window so it wouldn't locate. They remedied this by driving a screw into the frame to guide it hinges rather than fixing the hinge.

The vents upstairs I realised hadn't broken the windows as they'd only stuckk them on with double sided tape so they just wobbled about. It would be funny if it wasn't so annoying.

I chased this up with emails and calls and never got a reply. Only by emailing EDF did their office get in touch, I told them that they needed to install proper vents and they've ghosted me again.

Rubbish. Only interested in the subsidy payment, no customer service. I hate to think how they might treat more vulnerable customers.

This company has been a nightmare from the start from flooding my house and to get things replaced yet they are still now refusing to acknowledge any correspondence and works still not completed from February 2024 Mr Cipher has had photographs of all damages yet done nothing with the photographs and then took a back seat but I will escalate this to all concerned

This company installed a new boiler for my mother yesterday. The work is dreadful. Pipes have been run OUTSIDE the house not inside. This is not just an eyesore but certainly dangerous. There is a leaking pipe in the bathroom. A pile of tar like debris in the drive which has dried and cannot be removed. Additionally some chemical has been emptied into the toilet and cannot be removed. AVOID THIS COMPANY unless you want endless problems.

Got my new boiler installed in the bathroom, and it’s working perfectly. Berks Insulation made the whole process simple for me, from the grant application to the complete installation. Their team was quick and most reliable!

The installation was okay, but a lot of mess was left behind them. I've had to spend quite a great amount of time tidying up afterwards, really, which was really frustrating, you know? Then again, there was some delay in getting booked for installation, and communication wasn't as clear as it might have been. Overall, the new boiler works very well, but generally, this hasn't been that smooth.

Berks Insulation replaced my boiler, but it wasn't as smooth a process as I had wished. It took some time to schedule the installation and then even more time when the team actually came in.

The only work Berks Insulation did under the grant was to replace the boiler, and the installers did not explain how to operate the new system. I worked it out myself. The boiler itself seems to be okay, but the service could have been better.

Berks Insulation installed loft insulation for us, and a very good job they did, too. The difference in warmth was evident straight away! We are very happy with the results and highly recommend them. Thank you so much!!
