Honest Review of Betopia Limited

I’m sharing this review based on my personal experience, and let me make one thing clear from the beginning: I have absolutely no complaints about my team. My teammates were supportive, cooperative, and genuinely good people to work with. The problems I experienced were primarily with management and the way certain people in management treat employees.

One of the most frustrating issues is the way salary increments are handled. Employees recently received their increment, only to be informed after receiving the increased amount for one month that the increment would then be held for around six or seven months. If this is how a company treats an increment that was already communicated to employees, it naturally creates distrust and uncertainty. Employees deserve transparency, not decisions that leave them wondering what their actual compensation will be.

Another major problem is the company’s inability to retain experienced and capable employees. Good people don’t continuously leave a healthy workplace for no reason. When experienced employees keep walking away, management should stop blaming employees and start looking at itself.

And honestly, this is where I have the biggest criticism.

Some people in management seem to have far more confidence in their abilities than their actual abilities justify. In my opinion, their positions have less to do with competence and more to do with the fact that they have been around the organization since its earlier days.

To put it bluntly, if some of these people were not already part of the company from the beginning, I genuinely question whether they would even be able to get the same positions in the job market today. Put them in a competitive hiring process without the advantage of their history with the organization, and I’m not convinced they would stand out based on their leadership, communication, professionalism, or actual management skills.

Some of them would probably struggle to get a comparable management position in the garment sector, let alone somewhere that genuinely evaluates people based on competence and leadership ability.

What makes this even more frustrating is seeing people with questionable management skills sitting in positions of authority while experienced employees who actually know how to do the work are undervalued, ignored, or eventually pushed out. Being with a company for a long time does not automatically make someone a good leader. Seniority is not the same thing as competence.

There are also individuals in management who, in my experience, lack basic professionalism, communication skills, emotional intelligence, and respect for the people working under them. Yet they are still given authority over employees who may actually have stronger skills, better experience, and a better understanding of the work.

That is one of the biggest reasons I believe Betopia struggles to retain good employees.

You cannot build a strong company by putting the wrong people in positions of power and then expecting talented employees to tolerate it indefinitely.

A company can have talented employees, hardworking teams, and ambitious goals, but bad management can destroy all of that. And when management starts believing that employees are easily replaceable, eventually the company ends up replacing experienced people with less experienced ones simply because they are cheaper or easier to control.

My experience at Betopia taught me that having a good team does not necessarily mean having good management. My team was never the problem. The problem was the culture created by certain people above them.

If Betopia genuinely wants to grow and become a better workplace, it needs to start evaluating people based on actual competence rather than how long they have been around. Give leadership positions to people who can actually lead. Treat experienced employees with respect. Communicate honestly about salary and increments. And most importantly, stop assuming that employees will simply tolerate poor management because they need a job.

People leave managers, not companies.

And if experienced employees keep leaving, perhaps it’s time for management to seriously ask themselves why.

As a former employee of Bitopia Group

As a former employee of Bitopia Group, I would like to provide my honest review.

If someone wants to gain experience from beginner to advanced level, then this company is one of the best places for learning. However, there are several issues that I would like to point out.

First of all, new employees are given an excessive amount of projects. For example, if a new employee has the capability to handle 5 projects, they are assigned 10 projects instead. If an employee is late to the office, salary deductions are made. However, employees are required to work at least 2 extra hours on around 22 out of 26 working days every month, without receiving any additional benefits or compensation. In addition, the last off-day of every month is usually canceled, and no extra payment is provided for this additional work.

Officially, the company’s People Desk policy states that employees are entitled to 10 casual leaves, 12 sick leaves, and 10 earned leaves per year. However, in reality, employees are unable to use these benefits during their employment. In simple terms, it feels like these policies only exist to satisfy government requirements.

Another major issue is the pressure placed on employees regarding personal matters. After joining, once the company realizes that an employee is capable of performing well, pressure is applied to make them provide their National ID card so the company can create marketplace accounts for office use. Later, when the employee resigns, these accounts are not returned to them, even though they are initially told otherwise.

In addition, employees are also pressured in different ways to provide their passports. The passports are allegedly used to create accounts in various international banks in order to evade taxes.

If any employee refuses to provide their personal documents, different forms of pressure are applied to them. There have also been incidents where employees’ personal mobile phones were checked, including messages, WhatsApp, Telegram, and other personal media and communications.

The biggest issue is related to resignation policies. If an employee wants to leave the job voluntarily, they are required to submit a resignation letter to HR at least one month in advance. Even if the notice period is short by just one day, salary is deducted as a notice period penalty. However, if the company decides to terminate an employee, no prior notice is given, and the employee is required to leave the office within 5 minutes. Furthermore, if any salary remains unpaid, the company may take 2–3 months to clear the dues.

There are many more things I wanted to say, but I chose not to mention them.

Worst company to join as a fresher

Worst company to join as a fresher. You will lose your skill your dignity, your trust in your self. If you love your self do not join in this trash of a software garments company.
