I’m writing this review, because I feel people need to know what they’re getting before they make a purchase from this company, but I don’t believe they’re selling the Ultimate Drive anymore, that offers free packs and updates for life. My three stars is based solely on that, because I never receive the updates/new packs that come out unless I send them a bunch of emails requesting the links. So, it boils down to as far as the drive goes, I feel we don’t get what we were promised. I know others have had the same frustrating situation to deal with. What I will say, is that the quality of the assets are super good and high-quality. The unfortunate thing is, if I happen to see a new release, that I really want to get my hands on, I resorted to the fact that I’m just gonna have to pay for those, because it’s too time-consuming to go back-and-forth with emails that go virtually unanswered for days at a time anyway. If it wasn’t for the quality of the assets, I’d give them a one star. That would be just for the customer service or lack of and them not delivering what they said they would.

I have brought a subscription for over £150 they took my money but will not activate my account. This is a scam do not buy from them. I have tried to contact them everyway possible but get no response. If you buy from this company you will lose your money. Now reporting to my bank to get my money back.

Misleading promises and zero customer support

I purchased a product from Bigfilms (bigfilms.shop) the blockbuster drive to costs $990 based on their clearly advertised promise of lifetime access to all future updates and packs.

After completing the purchase, I did not receive the promised updates, and access to new content has not been provided as advertised.

I contacted their support multiple times via email, but received absolutely no response.

This is not just poor customer service — this is a clear case of misleading advertising.

Customers are being encouraged to buy based on promises that are simply not honored.

I have already filed an official report with the FTC regarding this matter.

I strongly advise others to be cautious before purchasing from this company until they demonstrate transparency and accountability.

If the company resolves this issue, I will update this review accordingly.

Review:
I am extremely disappointed with the service at Bigfilms. I spent over $240 on several VFX packs (Order #19885), including the Destruction, Oregon, and Superhero packs.
At the time of purchase, I noticed a "3-download limit." This is a catastrophic policy for professional VFX artists. Digital assets are a lifetime investment; hardware can fail, hard drives break, and sometimes you simply don't have the storage capacity the moment you buy. When you pay hundreds of dollars, you expect permanent access to your files, not a "3-strikes and you're out" rule.
Now, I finally have the storage space to download my library, but the links are dead. I have sent 3 emails to support over the last few days to have my links reactivated, but I have been met with total silence. It feels like they are happy to take the money but refuse to provide the goods once the initial link expires.
I am still waiting for a reaction. Please reactivate my links for Order #19885.

I was looking forward to jazzing up my university coursework with special effects as well as future videos. So I bought the blockbuster pack, which I thought would give me a taste on how good big films is for special effects. I received 6 files each of them were zip files, which you need to extract after downloading to use them on your projects. the download needs a fast connection and can take up to an hour to download. problem I had was I needed more than one attempt to download each file which it even got to 100% before coming up with error message then I had to download it again from the start. Problem with that is the email says you can only download the files up to 10 times which is hard when it does download the first time around. I've only downloaded 2 of the files still getting errors on the 3rd file. I sent an email to big films 3 days ago but had no reply, so if your going to get anything from big film don't rely too much on customer service

Okay, to keep it simple: the effects are fine and I already made some short movies with them. Of course it is not the simple drag & drop they advertise, but with the tutorials they give, everyone should be fine and know how to use the assets.
I purchased the ultimate drive and all the effects are there and the quality is as promised. I'm just missing the link for the life long updates, about 3 month after I got the drive. Two mails about that topic unanswered so far.
Of course all the effects are 2D, so if you have camera movement things will become tricky. But hey, maybe I'll get the link one day and maybe bigfilms is going to put out 3D models at some point. There is still hope.
But, to just review the effects I got without the dreams and hopes: It's a fine product. Had I gotten a link to download all new stuff, I would give them 5/5 and with 3D models included I'd give them 6 out of five ;-)

I feel extra compelled to write this review since finding reviews of BIGFILMS prior to my purchase was a challenge - there really aren’t many BIGFILMS or MAKE BIGFILMS reviews out there. I purchased the Ultimate Blockbuster Drive (UBD). The product is exactly as described on the BIGFILMS website - it’s logically and neatly organized and all the assets are extremely high quality. The UBD I received contains 1.79TB of assets as compared to the 1.5TB listed on the website - so already a few “extras”. I ordered this product on a Friday morning, the USPS shipping label was generated on Sunday in Woodland Hills, CA, and it shipped on a Monday. I did not receive a ship notice from BIGFILMS and the online order status didn’t show that it shipped or provide tracking information - I had to email BIGFILMS to get the tracking info - which they promptly provided. Turns out BIGFILMS shipped via “USPS Ground Advantage” - the cheapest and slowest USPS has to offer - and 3 weeks later, the package was lost. At 23 days after placing my initial order, I provided the lost package documentation to BIGFILMS and they shipped a replacement UBD via UPS which arrived 7 days after shipping. At the price-point of the UBD, I would expect expedited & reliable shipping via FEDEX or UPS be the ONLY way they’d ship this product, especially since their FAQ states to expect the UBD within 7-days of placing the order - but that’s my only complaint. When it comes to the “Free Updates for Life”, their customer support said that they blast an email with a link to anyone who purchased the UBD and the updates are available for download. I haven’t experience this yet, but may update this review if/when the time comes. I’m not sure why BIGFILMS doesn’t have Google reviews - I admit it seems sketch that they don’t - but overall, I’m very happy with this product by BIGFILMS! If it weren’t for the absolutely terrible shipping experience, I’d certainly rate 5 rather than 4 stars.
