We stayed at the Old Mill Barns for a family weekend. There were 31 of us and it was absolutely fabulous! The Barns are incredible, equipped with everything you could need and very spacious. Everywhere was so clean and spotless too.
Claire and team were on hand throughout if we needed anything. I’d definitely use the Big House Experience again for future family get-togethers.

Longslade Hall is a fantastic, luxurious house, and was brilliant for our family birthday celebrations. It was spotlessly clean on our arrival, and it had all the features and facilities that we could ever possibly need, even in winter the pool was lovely and warm.

Absolutely stunning property in a fabulous location. Ideal for what we needed, my husband and I were getting married and wanted a venue that could fit the family in, had a pool and pool table so we picked this property. It has a fresh water pool, no chlorine smell, steam room, hot tub, games room, pool table and cinema room. Lots of big comfy seats, even with 20+ people there you never felt on top of eachother. The property is well maintained and cleaned to an extremely high standard. The staff are amazing and so pleasant. It had everything we needed, we got married on site in the workshop which is a small outbuilding, it was nice it was a place all of its own and the staff set it up for us! The online staff kept in regular contact with us and gave us everything we needed and I couldn't be happier with the service. If youre looking for a place to celebrate with family, this is it!! Just wonderful!

We had a 3 generations family get-together over the weekend of 31.10.25 to 03.11.25. We have stayed at Kingswell House on a previous occasion, so new what to expect.
As before, the house was immaculately presented and we were given a quick tour and an update on anything that had changed.
We were lucky with the weather and were able to take full advantage of the tennis court and the croquet equipment. The children loved the games room and the cinema room.
Everything we needed was provided, including some lovely cake! The only thing that we were short of was a few more small port or liqueur glasses for an after dinner celebration.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.

The owner, Tess was very receptive and made sure we were informed and welcomed. The house is absolutely beautiful- a lovely layout and high spec equipment/furnishings. Great location for all the Cotswolds. Great company - highly recommended thank you so so much everyone. A wonderful weekend

Overall our weekend experience at Barford House was amazing - the house perfectly set up, immaculately clean throughout and exactly as we had envisaged from the photos and descriptions. The position and views from the house were incredible and, although the weather kept us all indoors for some of the weekend, there was plenty of space and varied activities inside to keep us all (from 8 -70 yrs) happy and occupied. A couple of little 'niggles' were soon sorted by the team at Big House Experience so absolutely no complaints on our part. The holding deposit was returned promptly.

We have just spend a fab 5 days at Olive House. The house is gorgeous, high end finish and comfortable and definitely has the WOW factor. There were 20 of us and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The hot tub, pool, sauna, BBQ & pizza oven were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all spacious and the layout so well thought out. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a big house stay. Can't wait to go again

Unfortunately the pool was cold, and despite 2 visits by a plumbing/heating company, the problem was not resolved, which resulted in most of us not wishing to use it. What surprised us was that the owner wasn't aware there was a problem.
There were a lot of little steps, and some stairs had a slight overhang; these caused one or two trips/slips, but we soon became more aware.
Big House Experience were helpful from our initial enquiry through to our visit.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Tillbridge Hall in Northumberland. The location and setting were perfect and the Hall was big enough to get lost in whilst at the same time having areas that felt intimate. Excellent facilities and just a wonderful place to stay

Really great experience from start to finish. We’ve stayed in 2 separate accommodations this year and both were unique and a very high standard, thanks for the find.

We (22 members of our family ) have just returned from a long weekend at Olive House.
What an amazing house! So spacious and well appointed with many extras generously provided.
Luxurious bedrooms and so many things to do to keep all ages in the family entertained. Swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and tennis to name a few. Brilliant!

We had a fantastic time at Rippon Hall with excellent catering provided by Robbie Spencer Ashworth. The Big House Experience team were easy to work with and even arranged to have the piano tuned for us. Thank you for a very memorable stay to celebrate a special occasion!

The Apple Cabin was the perfect house for a countryside getaway. We were a party of 12 (5 children & 7 adults) and there was plenty of space for us all with no feeling of overcrowding. The facilities provided were wonderful and the indoor pool and hot-tub were particularly well-used and appreciated. The large kitchen was well-appointed and, in the living area, the huge converted billiard table was fantastic for large group dining. The remote location with its stunning views were perfect for a peaceful getaway. Cannot recommend too highly.

Thoroughly recommend Tarn House. We had a brilliant family weekend there celebrating a special Birthday. The house is so spacious and all the rooms including the bedrooms are so very comfortable. The games room and Gym plus the cinema room were a big bonus and were used by all the family.
A fabulous party house

We really enjoyed our stay at Barford Beach House! I gathered the family together for my 70th and the house was perfect. There were 14 of us and there was plenty of space and plenty to occupy everyone of all ages. The house was extremely comfortable and well equipped. We wanted for nothing. Everybody flowed through the house harmoniously, stopping every now and then to sit in a comfy chair and enjoy the spectacular view. We all wandered down to the beach at various times and had a wonderful time picking up gorgeous stones and paddling in the rock pools in our wellies. Some of the older ones went on hikes, others went for 10K runs and others wandered into Bude for a nice tea and scones. The folks at The Big House Experience were great! They gave us full and complete instructions as to how the house functioned and recommended Chef Sargent who prepared us some fabulous meals, making it all the more enjoyable. I cańt wait to think up an excuse to do it all again. Thank you BHE!

We recently stayed at La Cachette with a few families and had the most wonderful time! The house was incredible — spacious enough that no one ever felt crowded, yet warm and full of a wonderful sense of togetherness. It was clean with plenty of linens and a fabulous kitchen to cook and eat several meals together. The heated pool was the perfect entertainment for the kids after a day of sight-seeing and taking in the beauty of the Cotswolds. I highly recommend Big House Experiences for your next weekend away!
