Leaving this review as I have had an awful experience with this company since the very first time they were called out. I would advise no one to deal with them - and to use a real plumbing company instead.



I called out Blockbusters to unblock a toilet on 17th November 2025.

The engineer attended - and unblocked the toilet - he then advised that parts would be needed - he would order them and would contact back in 2/4 weeks.

I received no contact back during this time and so contacted Blockbusters again to be told that I would have to authorise the purchase of the parts - and that this would be done by email - but that the company never sent me the request email. So already the completion of this job has been pushed back a month due to engineer incompetence.



Due to no parts being fitted my toilet blocked up again - I had the company out and they advised as I was still waiting for parts, that I would not be charged for this. Despite this advice I received an invoice a few days later - which I needed to call and dispute to have removed.



Finally - when the parts came in - I was booked in for parts fitting and a CCTV study on 7th January.

On 7th January - I called up multiple times to check when the engineer would attend - following the final call - I was sent an email confirming that they would need to reschedule the appointment as the engineer couldn’t attend. I called up and advised the phone staff that I have needed to take a day off work for this appointment which I have been waiting over a month for, and the phone staff confirmed that the invoice would be altered to reflect this suitably.



On 8th January the engineer attended and fitted the parts. This was done correctly. He also told me that he conducted a CCTV study and that I would receive a full report showing the damage to my pipes and weather further work would be needed.

When I received the invoice - it confirmed that the 'CCTV study was aborted due to tight pipework' - clearly advising that this job was not done - however the company were attempting to charge me for this.



Following the invoice being received - I called the company multiple times to dispute this. As not only did the invoice include the CCTV study which was not performed - it also did not have alteration for the additional day I took off which was confirmed on the phone. The phone operators advised me that I would be contacted about the issue.

I received no contact back despite multiple emails - multiple calls - and further requests for payment from Blockbusters.



On 19th February I send a full email response to Blockbusters explaining the situation and my request for payment alteration.

In the following weeks I received no contact back about the issue - so again called in March multiple times. I was given confirmation my email would be reviewed and I would be contacted back.



I received a response on 14th April confirming that the CCTV study had been removed from the invoice - and that they would offer a 10% discount on the remaining cost. However - the 10% did not account for the missing days wages. And so I emailed back again asking for them to review the calls I made to staff.



I again called the company to enquire about this and was advised to message 'Kitani Dalton'. I was assured she would review my full case - I have today received an email which goes over my points and completely ignores the lack of parts order from Blockbusters - as well as the fact that the CCTV study was not performed and has now been removed from the invoice. It feels like this situation just keeps getting more ridiculous and I am simply asking to not pay for services which were not provided and for the invoice to be lowered due to engineer failing to attend and causing me an additional days wages - which was confirmed with staff members on the phone at the time of the first planned appointment!

Great work done to unblock our drains which had not flowed properly for several years while various plumbers failed to do the obvious. Your man Zac from Eastbourne was polite, efficient and resourceful. We will certainly recommend him to others

Stupendous work saved a number of flats from sewage water entering their homes today and helped unclog a pipe in a flat that was so bad it could erode hazmat suits. I know who to call if i ever get into another situation like this. Lee enjoy your easter you absolute legend!

Our drain was unblocked within 45 minutes. Zac knew exactly what he was doing. Thanks.

I paid for a full drain cctv survey report. I never received it. No contact from the company, no refund. Very rude.
I waited for a very long time.
They took my money and didn't perform the service.
Avoid at all cost!

After a failed washing machine installation due to a suspected blockage, I called blockbusters and Sam came out same day despite it being an incredibly busy time. He did an excellent and thorough job, identifying the problem and talking me through the process as he resolved it. Would highly recommend!

Max came to our property as we had a drain that was blocked up .
Wow what an amazing guy , he knew his job and how to deal with the problem very quickly.

Max who came out this evening was friendly, informative, sorted the blockage efficiently and also recommended some further actions to prevent reoccurrence.
I would have given 5 stars if communication re visit had been better. No indication of an estimated time given, just that it would be today. I did ring and enquire but call agents could only tell me where I was on the job queue and not an indication of time which when you don’t have a working toilet was not ideal.

From the very first point of contact to Zak arriving quickly to sort out our problems we found Blockbusters a great company to deal with with.
There is no money in the world that could make me deal with other folks poo, but Zak took it all in his stride and resolved the problem quickly and efficiently.

Aaron your Engineer did an excellent job of clearing my blocked toilet.
His patience and expertise was phenomenal.
He had a very tough job of clearing the blockage, but he did so with the patience of a saint.

My apologies for the wipes that caused the blockage. I bought them from Aldi store, it's misleading because it says ' Flushable ' on the packet. Now I know it's obviously not . I do apologise once again for the inconvenience which I have caused.

Sam at Blockbusters came out to fix an emergency drain issue. He was brilliant. Job done and also a thoroughly nice guy. We will definitely use Sam and Blockbusters for any future help we need.

Zak was quick to diagnose and rectify the problem of a blockage in our drain. Super professional, polite and friendly!

Super cheerful gentleman, fixed the plumbing issue within 20mins.

Having a water leak for 114 days is not great, although Blockbusters were only informed on the 5th May. After repairing a break in the supply pipe, there was an additional invisible leak in the garden under four inches of concrete, which after full investigation, was repaired fully by the 6th August. Staff are very polite, and very tidy..

Zak, Aaron, Mikey and today Jamie showed absolute professionalism, empathy, articulation and clean work during their work at our home. Highly valuable staff with incredible demeanor always looking to go the extra mile just to make a customer feel cared for.
