For the price of the test, I was very disappointed with what was actually tested; it lacked magnesium and potassium, and was not a comprehensive blood count. My daughter had a test with Medichecks, and it was a much better test; also, the test results are graphed in her account. I found the download version very difficult to read

I managed to book an appointment with this company following their very detailed complex instructions. However, after booking, I did not receive a receipt so asked if they could send it to me. I was told that once I had booked, they would send it. Booked and contacted them again only to be told that the results now need to be sent to me before I would receive it, and that the results could take up to 29 days. I did not notice that written anywhere either on the email incorporating the instructions or on the pathology form. I informed them that I was unhappy as all I wanted was my receipt. I then got a response stating that I needed to respond to the original email that was sent to me. Bemused as to why, I did only to receive a reply that I have to wait until the results are out. Absolutely ludicrous that the goalposts keep getting moved. It as been 3 weeks since booking the test and a week since it was carried out. Still no receipt, and no results. I will never use this ridiculous company again!

Booked a blood test online and had to jump through hoops to try and get the blood test booked in, via a 3rd party mind you. I have been passed around from department to department on the phone and into the 2nd day now and I am still not able to book the blood test I paid £75...Save your time and money and go somewhere else!!!!

Added 7th Oct 2025 After said test: On arrival at Spire they had no booking for me; but apparently after showing my confirmation I was allowed to do the blood test. It’s about 10days since this blood test and no results. I have contacted them twice now. I perhaps will get this test done elsewhere as I do not trust the validity of the results I will be given after this experience. Go Spend Your Money Elsewhere!

Overall a good experience had with this company. The whole process of booking in a date to get my bloods taken and receiving my results took a little longer than anticipated but got there in the end. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a private blood test as prices are very competitive.

Decided not to use as the website was very dated and did not work properly. I tried to speak to support as to why I could not book a centre but this was not addressed properly. They do have a voucher for a free home visit but this was enough to put me off. Would very much recommend the business update their website.

Easy test to do with the auto draw device, and no pain at all. Super quick results.

Blue Horizon tests have been super useful when I can't get my GP to run tests. The company is very helpful and kind, and their agents make sure to explain clearly. Their service is easy to use and a real go-to for private blood testing in the UK.

Quick turnaround and the blood draw kit was very good, painless. The whole experience was easy and I appreciated the notes from the doctor. Was too expensive, wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

Very efficient product and service

After trying and failing to take bloods myself, I opted for this company to come out and take my samples needed at home. The nurse was absolutely delightful, very professional and efficient.
I had my results within 48 hours, confirming my suspicions that some of my hormones were low (practically non-existent!).
The information provided by the medical professional who interpreted my results was easy to read and understand.
I’d use this company again, thank you!

Test received quickly with accompanying info if need help. I did find the finger prick test a bit of a trial though into such a small container and trying to keep blood coming. Had to use all the lancets. The result fitted with what the doctors were saying on reducing my meds.

Absolute joke , no info with the tests on how or where to book , and impossible to get hold of anyone , and starting to think its a scam and they have just taken my money

I found Blue Horizon to be very helpful. I am a newbie to having a private blood test done. They answered my queries promptly and I received my results, together with feedback from the company’s GP (no extra charge), within a week of the test being taken.

I am now a bit further down the road to understanding my hypothyroidism.

I would certainly recommend Blue Horizon and am sure I will be using them again.
