Fabulous service from start to finish, would thoroughly recommend.

I had visited Sri Lanka with my family in January with Blue Lanka Tours. I had an mesmerising experience to remember with Blue Lanka, right from planning where I was assisted by Dinesh, Upekha, Demnindo and others from Operations and Payments team to the 7 days in Sri Lanka with our truly amazing, understanding and helpful guide- Thushara Udayanga. Hoping to come back soon and travel the other unexplored areas of Sri Lanka with Blue Lanka and guided by Thushara.

I am so overwhelmed with the service that I am short of words but let me try to explain in detail about my experience with Blue Lanka.

Planning:

I wanted to take my family on a vacation and Sri Lanka was my first choice. Next, I googled for the best tour agencies in Sri Lanka and hola, 'Blue Lanka Tours' was the first suggestion. Since we were coming from India, I didn't want to experiment much and hence dropped a mail with my requirements to the Blue Lanka Tours official mail ID.

I was really amazed by their response. Within few minutes, I had a message from Dinesh Perera, CEO of Blue Lanka stating that one of the tour consultant shall reach out to me soon. Truly, within 15-20 mins, I had my first draft of itinerary sent to my mail by Upekha (tour consultant). With little amendments here and there, my final itinerary was in my pallette within a day. This is the level of dedication and care with which Blue Lanka caters to their clients. Client satisfaction is what they practice to their best.

Even when we were facing certain issues with the advance payment, they connected with us on WhatsApp and voice call and assisted us. Also, they were patient enough to cooperate during those times. Dinesh and Upekha were in contact throughout.

Worth mentioning, just 7 days before our travelling date, we wanted to visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage as well and some activities on our first day in Sri Lanka. Deminda Fernando, General Manager replied within few minutes with the best day where this can be accommodated in our already finalized itinerary. He also sent us the quotation for the same. Within hours, I had a mail from the Blue Lanka's Operations team with the revised
itinerary and details about our guide.

Everyone in Blue Lanka was prompt in their responses to our queries and
planning our best 7 days on the island.

7 days on the island:

We were greeted by Thushara Udayanga, our guide and chauffeur for the 7 days on the island. He presented us with garland and smile. We were happy beyond words with the reception. He was so humble, kind and patient. He catered to all our needs with a smile. He has vast knowledge about the places and we were enriched with the stories about people, places and lifestyle at Sri Lanka. He always had that ever smiling face throughout. He took us to food shops and help us experience the most popular local cuisines but also ensured we had it from the most hygienic places lest we may fall ill. His top priority was to ensure we were comfortable at all times.
Worth mentioning, on our visit to Sigiriya Rocks, mid way when my mom was not able to climb further because of health reasons, he first ensured that the rest of us are comfortable climbing up with the special guide and then took great care and accompanied my mother to the vehicle. He ensured at all times until we came back that my mom is not bored by engaging her in conversations. We are really thankful to him for taking care of her and supporting us in the times of trouble.
He is a super amazing person and we are really appreciative of his service especially the smile with which he greeted us every morning and the knowledge he has and his efforts in making the journey an interactive one.

To conclude, thank you Dinesh, Deminda, Thushara and the entire team of Blue Lanka for making our stay so comfortable and full of memories. We shall miss you all and our stay there.

Booking with Blue Lanka was a smooth and easy process.
Our guide Janaka was fantastic. Knowledgeable, very friendly and a very safe driver - would highly recommend him as a tour guide.

Two things I would like to point out..
1) please review the hotels you set up your guests. Some of them do not provide the most basic amenities.
2) I could not visit some temples because head covering was not allowed. I wear a head covering due to my religious background, hence could not visit the places. I paid for these visits in full but received no refund for them, which was disappointing. Pls mention the head covering clause in the itinerary (besides in the general info).

I'm still going to rate Blue Lanka high because we truly had a memorable trip thanks to Janaka!

Excellent service form beginning to end. Tour was superb. We’re definitely coming back and will use Blue Lanka again.

We are not ones to give reviews very often, but having just spent 9 days in Sri Lanka with BLUE LANKA TOURS, we feel compelled to share our experience with other travellers.

We initially planned our own itinerary for 8 nights/9 days in Sri Lanka, booked accommodations by ourselves, and was looking for a chauffeur/private tour guide.

As you can imagine, choosing the right tour operator to guide you around a foreign country can be a daunting task.
After reading many reviews and corresponding with many tour operators, we chose BLUE LANKA TOURS, which turned out to be the perfect choice.
Although BLUE LANKA’s quote wasn’t the cheapest, we found that they were the best value for the money.

Dinesh Perera CEO always responded to our emails in a timely professional manner and helped fine-tune our itinerary to be more efficient. His suggested itinerary and quote was the most comprehensive among the tour operators.

Our chauffeur/guide Kalinga Fernando was way beyond our expectations!
He was not only a very safe and conscientious driver, but was also very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, polite, and professional. Every morning the car was clean inside and out, new water bottles were in place, and he always arrived on time with a smile on his face and a positive attitude.
During our 9 days of traveling with Kalinga, we were amazed with his extensive knowledge of his country (culture, nature, history…etc). His willingness to share his knowledge and suggest new experiences made our trip more fulfilling and unforgettable. We truly enjoyed traveling through Sri Lanka with him.

Based on our positive experience, we highly recommend BLUE LANKA TOURS.

The vacation my wife and I took to Sri Lanka with Blue Lanka Tours was tops. I want to tell a few things about our trip and the trip our friends took in June 2019 based upon our recommendation. This company gives very personal service before the trip, during the trip, and even after the trip is done. The office staff is quite efficient in designing a plan and booking excellent accommodations. Then during the trip there is someone from the company who checks in almost daily to make sure everything is proceeding smoothly. Shan, our guide, gave us excellent service. Actually he did all the driving and was our guide for the whole trip. In addition, we had some local guides with more specific knowledge of a particular area when needed. After we returned from our trip members of the Blue Lanka team kept in touch with us. They were willing to answer any questions we had about the many pictures we took. In addition, Shan sent me some of the pictures from his camera. Very thoughtful. He continues to keep in touch with us to let us know about the places he is visiting. Every time he sends a message it brings back many wonderful memories. I had no hesitation about recommending Blue Lanka to friends of ours. This couple wanted to emphasize wildlife and birding. The company did a great job personalizing their itinerary. They had a terrific vacation in June 2019 visiting several national parks and other important sights. Our friends wrote to me while they were traveling to tell me that they felt safe everywhere they went.

Blue lanka tours was the best choice for us. They gave everything that made our trip perfect. Pramila planned the itinerary with us and answered very quickly, if we had any questions. Young gentleman Prakash was our driver and guide. He spoke very good English and told us about Sri Lanka, culture, people, religion, nature everything you need to know.

When we contacted blue lanka tours 2 weeks before our trip, we were worried because we weren't sure of pulling a whole trip together within such a short time since our trip was an instantaneous decision, but thanks to Blue Lanka Tours, they took care of everything for us, right from hotel bookings to driving us around and planned it around exactly what we were looking for. The trip we made was from colombo to nuwara eliya for 2 nights and then 2 nights at Bentota.
Although the distance between all 3 places is so extensive, Dilshan, our guide was so amazing at executing our trip without it getting exhausting at all by stopping over at awesome locations for lunch/breakfst with spectacular views of ramboda waterfalls, the mahaweli river.

Dilshan made us feel less like passengers and was more like one of us. We have a toddler of 2 years and were really concerned about how he would manage but thanks to Blue Lanka Tours, our trip was a great success and we returned back to Dubai so amazed at the beauty of Sri Lanka

Once again a big thanks to Dilshan and to Dinesh and his team at Blue Lanka Tours.

Just finished a 6-day tour in Sri Lanka with chauffeur guide Lasantha and we are very impressed with his level of service.

Booking the tour was a last minute decision and Deminda was helpful with providing a quick quote based on our desired itinerary. We chose Blue Lanka and specifically requested for Lasantha based on a friend’s recommendation and we were not disappointed. He was always prompt, well-spoken and enthusiastically shared with us his deep knowledge/love of his country and culture. We really felt like we hit the jackpot with Lasantha as our guide ---he recommended some local spots that you would never ever learn about from a guidebook:
* we were pleasantly surprised with an up close encounter with giant turtles casually swimming at a beach and were able to hand feed them seaweed!
* we went snorkeling at a spot and the visibility was incredible---saw lots of fish and coral
* we walked along the shore and saw sea snakes, sea urchin, more brightly colored fish, crab, fluorescent sea plants and colourful coral
* he helped us spot some spinner dolphins and a sperm whale that surfaced twice
* we hiked up to a cave where remains of prehistoric people were excavated and there was a waterfall that we could walk underneath

We can tell that Lasantha cared very much about our local experiences and he was committed to make sure that we saw all that Sri Lanka could offer. It was a very short visit but Lasantha hosted us like longtime friends and we left Sri Lanka with a heavy heart but with a renewed appreciation for the beauty of nature and a desire to see more of the country.

We are just completing a 14 day tour around Sri Lanka including Sigiriya, Anuradhapura, polonnaruwa, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Yala and Galle. We have been so impressed with the service provided by Blue Lanka Tours and especially our driver Shan. Nothing was too much trouble and he arranged some excellent opportunities for us along the way in the form of cultural show, cooking class and some fabulous safaris.

Our 2 week trip in Sri Lanka has come to an end & we cannot thank Blue Lanka Tours enough for having planned such a fabulous holiday for us. From the first communication with Blue Lanka everything was as we hoped. History, culture, animals, delicious meals, incredible accommodation- all catering to what we liked. I booked a customized tour for Kandy and Nuwara Eliya in a single day with Blue Lanka. It was my first ever visit out of Colombo and being solo traveler, safety has been my utmost priority. I discussed my concern, and Karen from Blue Lanka was kind enough to join me on my trip. Sagara from Blue Lanka was assigned as my tour driver.

All the logistics arrangement, time management, coverage of locations were upto the mark. An expert tour guide was arranged for me at temple of tooth who gave me detailed insight to religious importance of the temple.

Both Karen and Sagara made sure my comfort throughout the day. They even added few extra stop overs just for me to see all important places in both cities. Also, iam a pictures freak so they kindly and patiently performed duties of being my photographer too 😃

I throughly enjoyed their company, my trip and felt completely safe. I have already booked them for my next tour 🙂
