We had such a great time learning how to throw Axes! Nayee showed us the different ways to throw and encouraged us all the time. It was a lot of fun

Axe Throwing so fun
My wife and I went to the one in Leeds, the axe throwing was super fun, and Hobson has been absolutely fantastic, couched us how to throw it properly. We had a lot of fun!
Not great
Boom battle bar in Oxford street is quite bad. We done the karaoke and one mic was broken, the screen was freezing which stole precious time from us. None of the staff were attentive or doing there job. We tried to order via the we code but it wasn’t working and the staff didn’t help either. They sent us back to use the qr code that we voiced didn’t work. I’ve been to other locations and they were fine. this is by far the worst ever, I don’t recommend this location.

Horrible Security Customer Service
I had booked golf for 2 people on a weekday evening in December (Oxford Street London branch)
Security stopped us at the door for a bag check. Very appropriate of them to do so and of course we had no issue with this. However both our small rucksacks were full of food products (mostly sealed and packaged Christmas presents such as chocolate, sweets, biltong and biscuits). It's December after all!
The security staff wanted us to empty the food and place them in empty boxes on the upper level near the front door. The security guard suggested that since our bags were just containing food (incidentally, no alcohol) that we should leave our bags upstairs near the front entrance. Neither myself nor my brother were comfortable with this. I said we didn't want to do this and asked for a refund. They said refunds were not offered so I asked for Tue manager. The security guard then called whom I presume was the head security guard (not the manager) who curtly said "no refunds". I then asked again to speak to the manager.
The manager then attended. She offered a compromise of stowing our bags downstairs rather than upstairs. This was still not ideal. However I asked my brother if this was acceptable and before he got a chance to reply, the manager emphasised that she had offered a compromise and that there would be no refund. To be honest although I probably would have left my bag downstairs, at this stage the situation left a bad taste in mouuth and we didn't want to stay. I asked again for a refund and this was again refused. I asked for the name of the manager and this was refused to me (I can understand this). I asked for an email address for complaining and this was refused (I cannot understand this however). I was told that I was getting aggressive.
What I did keeo asking was how could we be refused entry on the basis of having food as this was not mentioned anywhere in the booking process. I have since reviewed the website for the Oxford Street branch and I cannot find any reference to a bag or food policy. I was told that this was due to the risk of allergies to customers. Again, this may be reasonable but as this is not documented in the booking confirmation/process or on the website then surely we could get a refund.
I do not understand why a refund could not be offered for a service that was not given. I do not feel that we were given the time or the courtesy with regard to discussing this. I am aware that the security guards may have video footage of this and I welcome the management team reviewing this. If my voice was sounding frustrated at the end, it was only because our evening was being ruined and I wanted my money back.
I would like the management team to contact me or provide me with a direct email address (ideally not the Scottish lady manager who was ultimately not helpful). If she is just "doing her job" and enacting the company's policy then the company needs to be responsible and offer a refund. I note that at times, customer service at Boom Battle is not ideal from the aspect of entry and security looking at other reviews online. It's a shame because it seems like a decent venue.

We had such a laugh. Charlie, who was there to help us and show us what to do was lovely. Took a few goes to get the hang of it but we really did have a good laugh

Nick made it so much fun and I would recommend him to anyone who is thinking of visiting.

For me it’s negative 1. Really racist people. No understanding of how to make people welcome. By people I mean people of colour and the staff condoned that. Still trying to get people’s names to send to my solicitor. Very unprofessional people. Please don’t go as a foreigner especially if you have an accent or just bronzed skin.
