We do want to address your statement about it being a long process.
When a taxpayer runs into any sort of tax issues, it can take time to resolve them, depending on what specific services are needed. The IRS and any State agencies are large with many departments and can move slowly.
For context, we were assigned your case by our marketing partner in late December 2024. We had all tax returns ready for you to review by March 12th, 2025.
The files were not approved until March 31st, 2025. This was multiple years of tax returns some could be mailed and some could be electronically filed.
We, always have taxpayers mail their own returns so, the taxpayer has more control over when they get mailed. The paper returns were mailed May 2025.
The IRS finished processing them in Septemberr 2025 and we worked through resolution once the returns posted.
We prepared 6 years of tax returns and completed state and federal resolutions in about 14-16 months total.
This type of case cannot be done all at once because we have to take an action, wait for the agency to respond, and then move forward with the next step or phase.
Even though the case is closed, we have offered to continue to monitor your IRS Master file for an additional few months.
