I never signed a contract with the and they pulled the money out of my bank account and now I have to dispute it because they wont return it. Never do business with then they are criminals.

Worst ever

This is a horrible insurance company to work with, you can not get answers even if your jumping through all of the hoops that needs to be done! Our claim representative Keisha never returns calls, Aaron her supervisor is the same way! If you hear anything it’s from a text 90% of it is a basic text saying they will get back to you!! The only reason I gave them a star is because you had too!!

Avoid Bristol West Auto Insurance - Terrible Experience

My experience with Bristol West Auto Insurance has been nothing short of a nightmare. After a minor accident that I clearly stated was my fault, they recorded it incorrectly as not-at-fault. As a result, they tripled my premiums from $300 to $900 per month.

To add insult to injury, without any notice or authorization, Bristol West withdrew $1200 from my bank account. This unauthorized withdrawal left me in a difficult financial situation, with no explanation or resolution from their customer service.

Dealing with Bristol West has been a lesson in frustration and financial hardship. I strongly advise anyone considering Bristol West Auto Insurance to look elsewhere for coverage. Their unethical practices and poor customer service make them one of the worst insurance companies I have ever dealt with.

My worst first impression with this…

My worst first impression with this insurance company. I just bought a 2024 Toyota car and his costumer hits my car and now they are not taking care of my vehicle, in the beginning they look like they were doing a good job, they sent me a photo estimate for my car repair and I asked them if they are going to sent somebody for a physical inspection, because I didn’t trust their estimate, they said is not necessary, and I brought my car to a body shop they started working on it, but it seems that the body shop estimate doesn’t match the insurance one and they want me to pay the difference, when I didn’t do anything wrong, it was Bristol west costumer who hit me and why I need to pay the differential, they should ask their costumer to pay it not me.

Lowest of the low! Last resort!

I heard they were a division of farmers so I just automatically assumed and we all know what that means that they were reputable. I didn’t even look into the reviews. Please do your due diligence on this scamming company. Lowest of the low do not use this insurance company unless you are desperate and you have no other place to turn when my policy was up for renewal they went ahead and charged me for another six months which means I had to pay $140 paperwork fee just for the one month of insurance because I had planned to switch over And continue adding money to Bill if I hear from them one more time they’re gonna have a lawyer on them so fast that their head will spin these people shysters and scammers do not use this company

Not a TOTAL LOST

My car was deemed a total loss, by only looking at pictures. They wanted me to have the car picked up to send it to an auction yard. The auction place called me to schedule a pickup date. I was told there was a contract already set up, for the car. I stopped this and wanted an adjuster appraise the car, which he told me it is not a total loss. I was very disappointed that the claims rep tried to basically lie because she’d seen plenty of pictures like mine and they were total losses. My car is a Camaro, and the adjuster told me it’s a quick sell at the auction. I was just so shocked that some people might have gone through the same thing and lost their car.

Worst Insurance Company!

The worst customer service that I have ever experienced in any field. I have been hung up on every time I call to make an addition to my policy as well as making an inquiry. This company takes your money and runs. I will not be giving them anymore of my money. I would literally give them ZERO Stars if it was possible to do so. Do yourself a favor and go with AAA insurance. You will be treated fairly and promptly. The cost is worth the service. BUT STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. 98% 1-star reviews says it all. I only ended up with this company because ASPIRE Insurance bait and switched me because they couldn't provide the proper coverage under their policy. Stay away from these small companies.

Had one of there flyers come through the door after reading the reviews and just looking through them not one good review on here all one star's
And one 4 star must have had to much to drink or something, the card is going in the bin were its belongs

Total nightmare

So, I purchased insurance thru one of their agents. At first all good. The sales agent was very friendly. After the insurance cover period I wanted NOT to proceed. I called them well in advance of the end of the policy period. They were polite and asked if I perhaps wanted another plan with them. I declined, so, no worries, we have noted that you do not wish to prolong the cover. Send a written request to us and the agent and all will be good. I did this. Heard nothing back. Then I get an angry letter saying that I had not paid the renewal. I contact them. Spent an hour on the phone. So, the problem was "apparently" that when I emailed the confirmation of the non continuation, I had added the word "Insurance" and the policy number in the subject field. Not possible, should have been the policy number only. If anything else is added to the subject, the mails are not read........ They asked me again to mail it. Now with a proof of my new insurance cover, that they now asked me to include. I did so. Heard nothing. Then again I get another request from them. I write to them AGAIN. Then I get an email asking me to log in to their portal to pick up some "policy documents". I wrote back that I deleted their app once the cover was over. And I do not have any log in details. Nor am I interested in using a portal of a company that I am no longer a customer of. This is beginning to look like harassment .

APPALLING

If I could give negative stars I would. I'm filing a complaint with the Insurance Commissioner of MA. TWICE this company took my money and then tried to cancel my policy. I sent them the additional documents requested - first by express mail with signature and then by email. No one responds and they cancel. I follow up again the next time they do this and there is an issue on their email and they can't see what I sent. Twelve days they have this and don't bother to even reply on the email. They won't apologize on the phone, they won't admit I have an agent, they take no responsibility and won't do anything to keep this from happening. They clearly want my money and only refund a small amount each time they cancel. Appalling and should be illegal if it isn't.

Absolute nightmare

I'm sure you've read plenty of reviews already, but their customer support is not worth the nerves. I can't explain how many hours I've wasted trying to get a simple payment confirmation. Eventually, my request was denied because the reason specified was not good enough. They said they couldn't put in a new request. I was unable to get any payment receipts.

Bristol West is a scam company

near the end of their 60 day policy editing window Bristol West tried to charge me for health insurance that I had through my parents (which should have been discussed when signing up for the policy) as well as delaying the processing of the related refund (~1700) that was charged to a credit card that had been removed a moth prior and then tried to, one by one, require that each member of my family be added to my policy (which they should have known about before hand as I had to exclude my sister as a driver) including my 6 year old brother. recently there has been a charge to my policy for 1000 without a description what for. furthermore they have delayed the cancelation of my policy for nearly 2 months while I lose money from my refund each day.

NIGHTMARE!

This insurance company deserves negative stars. If this review could help at least one person, DO NOT use Bristol West for insurance. They are a nightmare to file a claim with and try to contact with. They will leave you paying for things out pocket that they should be responsible for. There are plenty of good insurance companies to use- do your research!

high risk drivers

I stumbled upon this insurance through Geico and as a driver with a couple of accidents even not at fault it was really hard for me to get an insurance after seven years with State Farm. This was one of the companies that decided to take me and I wish it worked out for me. The app is user friendly and their customer service is top notch. No crazy waiting time either. When I spoke to couple of representatives they were helpful and polite.

The biggest downside for me the monthly payment. My driving record isnt that bad, minor things.. I have two 2022 benz and they charged me $3,000 for a full coverage. (for each month). That for me is outrageous. So I had to cancel. I understand they see me as a high risk driver but that's a bit unreasonable.

$240.00 policy increae

$240.00 policy increae , 53 years old perfect driving record. Perfect insurance score. Never a insurance gap and never made a claim and my policy goes up $240 after 6 months
They offer nothing but high rates. No road side assistance no car rental reimbursement not even loan lease pay off , I'm not paying for my car twice and not have any coverage , they will more than likely low ball a claim and you'll be paying for it.

worst insurance group ever/cant believe Farmers would associate themselves with them. messed up my policy by putting the wrong state on my policy let it go for 7 months then told me it needed to be canceled and a refund sent through the mail and would take about 14 days. they wouldnt let me open a new policy till the old was canceled and told me it would Take 24Hr hours so i waited then i was told i couldnt cancel it over the phone and had to send in a signed document so i did on-line through the app and wait 24 hours which i did and now was told that the first document wasnt verified through a signature company so i have resubmitted the document using there company....i called and was told t0 give it a little more time....all while having no coverage and camping in the mi9iddle of no where Mississippi. they will take your money in 2.5 seconds but try and get a refund and it will take you 2 weeks and 25 hoops to jump through. i couldnt imagine filing a cliam. WOULD NOT RECOMEND

Horrible Insurance Company and is a scam company. Literally my wife drove for 2 years with suspended driver license DUE to the fact that this company does not report properly to DMV. We have had continous auto insurance with no lapse but since we left this company for another carrier for coverage, they reported we didnt have coverage 2 years ago when we 110% did have the continous coverage. It's been confirmed we had the coverage. Now 2 years later we are in a complete mess due to this carrier and their shady business practices. I also have heard of this happening to many people in the state of Florida with the same exact carrier...hmmmmm..then you get them suspended because they lost a customer. Shame on you bristol west and you should be investigated by the state of Florida for your overwhelming shady business practices. What about the people that got pulled over and got a ticket. Not to mention the DMV still wants us to pay a reinstate fee of almost $200 for reinstate immediately or we have wait atleast 48 hours while they try to fix this unnecessary mistake bristol west and FL DMV caused with their lack if communication. When this happens so often to so many people is it done purposefully on their end due to spite. Absolutely ridiculous and cant believe this can legally be done to someone.

Absolute Worst Insurance Company

This is the absolute worst, borderline criminal insurance company I've ever come across. Long story short, they failed to report that I started a new insurance policy just two days after my previous policy cancelled (only 2 days lapse) and now they refuse to send the documentation requested by the DMV to get the suspension off of my record. AND they raised my rates as a result of their own mistake, despite a perfect driving record. They have refused to answer questions AND I have been hung up on by them more times than I can count. These are not good people! Now I'm having to take legal action against them for something that should've been a simple fix. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I was with this joke of an insurance…

I was with this joke of an insurance company for almost a year. Towards the end, one of my payments didn't process correctly due to a problem with my bank. I called in (which you can't do after a certain time or on the weekends) and they were adamant about my having to pay the returned payment fee. The following month, because I didn't submit my new checking acct info 5 days prior to the automatic withdrawal date, I was hit again with another fee and had to call in 2 times to resolve the issue. The final straw was when last months auto withdrawal went through and they claimed that they got an NSF notification from my bank and set my policy for pending cancellation. Knowing full well that there was plenty of money to cover my payment, I called in yet again, got my NSF fee waived, went ahead and made an over the phone payment and followed up with my bank to confirm that there was no NSF notification given to anybody ever. THEN, I get a notification of invoice from Bristol West stating that if I didn't pay the remaining two months in full, they would cancel my policy. AND THEN when I called in to figure out what the hell was going on, they claimed that the payment I made over the phone had been refunded, but they couldn't tell me why. It was at this point that I had had enough and was happy to take my refund and go elsewhere, AND THEN when the refund never came through, I called them for the last time trying to figure out why and they fed me so much nonsense I almost got sick to my stomach, AND THEN when I won the argument regarding my case under no uncertain terms, the woman I spoke to who had a terrible accent which made her very difficult to understand straight hung up on me. I never received the refund, and now I'm having to look at another way to get my money back.
