Here's my short experience with Broomees in Pune:
I needed a babysitter for my 6-month-old daughter. Broomees said pay 8k ( subscription fees+ 15k baby sitter salary/month) and the helper would come in 72 hours. It actually took 6-7 days. A lady finally visited on Friday and said she'd start Monday.
From the second day, the problems started. One morning my wife was getting ready for an important office meeting when the babysitter didn't show up at 9 AM. Her phone was switched off. After my wife called the relationship manager, the maid suddenly appeared at 9:40.
Next day, she sent a message at 8:45 saying she couldn't come, again with her phone switched off. Then she messaged that she wasn't comfortable working at our place and demanded 1 day's salary.
Broomees was completely useless — they kept saying "we'll check" but did nothing. When we asked for a refund, they showed their true colours and made excuses. After two weeks of chasing, we finally got our money back.
Lesson learnt: Never trust these apps. We hired a simple 22-year-old local girl from our society instead. She's not trained but polite, responsible, and takes great care of our baby. Much better!

I booked a helper through Broomees based on the assurance that support would be provided promptly. At no point during the booking process was I informed that a minor timing adjustment would restart the entire search. This is a major non‑disclosure of service timelines, and it directly affected my ability to plan care for my elderly parents.

My father recently underwent surgery, and my mother is alone at home, yet the responses I received were process‑driven and lacked empathy for the urgency of the situation. Instead of taking ownership, the team kept repeating internal policies that were never communicated to me beforehand.

I am not asking for a refund — I simply need the service I paid for, delivered in a timely and transparent manner. I hope Broomees improves their communication, discloses timelines upfront, and shows more sensitivity when dealing with families in vulnerable situations.

I had paid a subscription fee of 36K for a full-time nanny for my 1-year-old child, and I was told that a nanny would be provided the very next day. The nanny who came appeared untrained, but I still kept her for 2–3 days and tried to train her myself. On the third day, when I asked her if she could manage my baby independently, she clearly said that she could not handle such small babies and could only manage children above 4 years of age. After that, she left.

My relationship manager then assured me that he would find a replacement as soon as possible. However, no replacement was provided even after 45 days. When I requested a refund, my requests were repeatedly delayed with generic responses every time I followed up. It has now been more than a month, and I still have not received any concrete response—let alone the refund.

I have been a BROOMEES customer since May 2024, in Pune. Initially things were fine with the customer support only issue was the workers assigned as they were not skilled enough and it seemed they didn't even get any training from BROOMEES. Since I have changed my location within the city, I had requested for the worker at my new location and after continuous requests and reminder calls from our side they failed to provide a worker. I still waited so that they can work on their part but I got no satisfying reply from them only standard emails. You should start looking out locally rather trusting on BROOMEES for your own benefit.

Broomies India: A Slick Scam Preying on Desperate Families
Broomies, an online domestic help placement service in cities like Delhi, Gurgaon, Pune, and Bengaluru, markets itself as a reliable startup offering trained cooks, nannies, and cleaners. Backed by Shark Tank India hype, it uses corporate buzzwords like "verified profiles" and "seamless onboarding" to lure users. But it's a predatory operation that extracts upfront fees while delivering zero value – a textbook scam.
Overhyped Promises and Exorbitant Fees
They charge thousands in registration or subscription fees for "guaranteed" matches and replacements. Users report pressure tactics to pay, followed by ghosting: no profiles, unanswered calls, and ironclad no-refund policies. "Trained" helpers arrive unqualified, quitting abruptly with no backups.
Poor Execution and Exploitation
Mismatches are rampant – like sending basic maids as "experienced cooks." Constant upsell calls and recycled workers hint at internal chaos. Social media and review sites are flooded with rants: "Biggest scam ever," "Took my money and vanished."
Time for Regulatory Crackdown
Despite the backlash, Broomies thrives on fresh victims via targeted ads. Under India's Consumer Protection Act, this reeks of misleading ads and unfair practices. The Central Consumer Protection Authority should investigate. Skip it – use local agencies with real accountability.
In short, Broomies consumes your cash under a professional veneer, leaving families frustrated and out of pocket. Absolute scam – steer clear.

We have paid Broomees Subscription for All rounder and so far it is a complete disaster. They first sent someone who couldn't cook or do much other than cleaning - so she left in a week. Then they sent another after a week, who disappeared in 2 days. They stop picking phone and provide no status or solve problems. Please do not pay subscription.

They provide third class services...whatever they claim on their website is a scam to extract money in form of subscription!!

Please think twice before using them it's better if you search on your own some nearby locality for help...I am sure that would be better than what they provide.

I am extremely frustrated by the lack of updates and communication regarding my ongoing engagement with Broomes.com. Despite multiple attempts to reach out via calls and emails, I have received no response.

As per our agreement, timely communication and progress updates are a basic expectation. Continuing to charge for services that have not been rendered is not only unethical but also a potential violation of consumer protection laws.

This is a review of Broomes Delhi, a start-up company set up about 4 years back to provide professional services pertaining to household helpers, cooks, maids, etc. We have been their customers for the last four years; a relationship that has been extremely fraught and full of tension. We have persisted with it due to our personal compulsions.

The company boasts that it provides qualified and experienced helpers but they are far from that. Most of them are untrained, lacking even basic skills although at the time of employment they make tall claims about their experience and skills. They never complete their contracted period, often quitting without notice. It is a herculean task to get a replacement promised by the company. Even when it is provided, the new incumbent often demands much higher salary than the previous one. The process of training them all over again then starts but one is not sure when the new maid will also quit.

The response of the company/customer care is extremely lethargic. They never take your call or call back. This culture prevails right from the top management to the lower levels. For any replacement service, their standard excuse it that "we are looking for a suitable replacement."

Their pricing model is extortionate. They charge exorbitantly upfront and then you become their captive customers. If you are not satisfied with their services, and want to cancel the contract, they promise no refund, no remedy. It is a black-mail service.

I would strongly urge that people seeking maid services should avoid them like plague.

I had a terrible experience with Broomees. I clearly informed my Relationship Manager (Pushpender) in writing that I wanted to cancel my babysitter subscription before any helper was assigned. Despite this, they proceeded with the assignment and then refused to refund, hiding behind a generic “7-day policy” that was not breached.

Not only did the Relationship Manager ignore my cancellation, but the company is now trying to cover up their mistake by offering to adjust the amount into another service I had already subscribed to. This is completely unacceptable and unethical.

I have proof in the form of email screenshots, and Broomees still refuses to acknowledge the timeline and facts. This is a case of clear mismanagement, poor customer handling, and lack of accountability.

I strongly advise others to be cautious before making any payment to Broomees. If this is how they handle prior cancellations, imagine the experience post-subscription. Avoid at all costs.

I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by Broomies India. I paid for a 6-month service plan, trusting that I would receive professional house help. However, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Despite being asked to pay a significant amount upfront (₹16,000 for just 6 hours), the maids sent to my home have been untrained and highly unprofessional. They lack basic skills in cooking, cleaning, and washing clothes, and their hygiene standards are extremely poor.

I am puzzled as to why I am expected to pay such a hefty amount for substandard, untrained individuals. If I wanted to deal with unprofessional help, I could have easily hired local all-rounders. When I raised my concerns with the relationship manager, no action was taken, and the issues remain unresolved.

It has now been two months since I made my payment, and I still haven't received any proper maid services. This is incredibly frustrating, as I have a job and cannot afford to stay home constantly to supervise and direct the maids on what needs to be done. This is not the quality of service I was promised, nor is it what I paid for.

I urge Broomies India to take responsibility for this poor service and either provide the professional help I was promised or refund my money immediately.

I hired services of Broomees for cleaning and cooking for my parents in Noida from November 2024. I have all the proof of how horrible thier services are. We started using Broomees services for peace of mind but with every worker they sent the next one was more horrible than the previous one. All the workers were always during phone during work hours ..despite my parents telling them to use phone only when urgent the workers never listened to my parents. Broomees promised us that the workers were skilled in cooking and cleaning, but none of the workers knew how to cook..one of them infact told us directly they she never had the experience of cooking. All of them came late and left early. I asked Broomees many times to send a worker after they have properly verified thier skills but Broomees always sent a worker who was even worse then the previous worker. I reached out to thier CEO on Linkedin as well and she tried to intervene to make things better , but even after that things got only worse to the extent that one worker they brought to our home was not even the person who they had shared the profile for. Not only this was a security and safety issue but Broomees replaced that worker with a worker who was the worst so far. her Shift was from 10am to 2pm...but in the beginning she never came before 10.30 am and as the days passed she started coming at 11 and then after a few days 11.30 and then 12. When my mother told her that do not put so much oil in the food when cooking the worker replied saying "The cook on your own" ...And this worker was talking on her phone for 2 hors of the little she was around. Even after complaining to Broomees many time the worker did not improve. She started taking holidays and then demanding money for even the days she didnt come. This is a very horrible horrible service ....never ever use them ...you would loose not only your peace of mind ..they make life hell for your parents if you are not around.
