As a first-time buyer, mortgages can be daunting. I honestly had no clue where to begin or what the process was. I booked an appointment with Dani (Shirley branch) and she guided me through every part of buying a house. She helped me understand our affordability, what kind of mortgages are available, and explained all the property-buying ‘jargon’ that was completely new to me. She even provided me with a full breakdown of the typical admin costs buyers can I expect which I found extremely useful.

After my phone call with Dani, I came away feeling less stressed and more confident about purchasing my first home. It was great to be told everything I needed to know and have all my questions answered. Thank you Dani for making the start of our journey so much easier.

Pushy salesman only willing to progress your offer if you use their in house mortgage broker which are no cheaper than a comparison site but charge you £600 for the privaledge.

I would never use these to market my house, they get more commission from selling a buyer a mortgage than the sale of your property. They do not act in the best interests of the seller.

I called twice to view a property I was greatly interested in to be told there are ongoing legal issues and I will be first in line to view when this was resolved. I also followed this up with an email which was ignored, to then find out the property has been sold. As a first-time buyer this completely puts me off ever wanting to deal with any branch of Burchell Edwards and this sort of behaviour creates speculation there's back-door selling going on at this branch. Complete liars working for this company and anyone considering selling their house through them needs to avoid doing so if you want a fair sale!

They were the most helpful estate agent we were in contact with and were the only ones who tried to help us. Thanks to them we are currently sat in our new house!

I am about to complete on my first house this Friday and could not be any happier with the service i got through Liam Mann at their Eastwood, Notts office!

Liam was recommended to me via a friend as they had just as good experience with him as i have. Right from the start he had a friendly attitude and helped work out what i could afford and what was best as i had a seen a house i really wanted to go for. Things didnt work out on that one but soon after i found the one i finally got.

Liams ability to make the worst situations even slightly better was a massive thing for me, especially because its my first time and i am on my own. Little things go a long way and Liams work ethic and ability made all the difference, from giving me a call over confused emails to responding to me even when he was on annual leave!

Every penny spent with Burchell Edwards is money well spent and i am 100% going to continue dealing with them on my future endeavours. I cannot stress enough how much everyone should use Burchell Edwards and more specifically Liam (where possible) as i cannot fault them one bit!

I would recommend to steer well clear of this agent. We are now unfortunately bound into contract with this agent but will not be renewing. Big promises but deliver nothing. We had agreed a rate with the local branch (Erdington) and promised the agreed rate however found that this information was not provided up to head office. There's a lack of communication and unprofessionalism. Dealing with both tenants and landlord. I would not recommend this agent at all and wish I had searched for reviews before committing to the agent.

Was rude and impatient didn’t give us information we asked for, didn’t allow us to change contract and said that you can’t which is a lie and when decided not to go with them told us we were a waste of time

The service provided by Lucy and team at the Mansfield branch has been superb from start to finish. I really have no complaints in the way they have dealt with our sale that spanned the 1st lockdown. Communication has been excellent with all viewings well communicated to me and feedback passed on very quickly. All offers received were confirmed verbally and in writing.

Lucy and the team provide a good reliable, friendly service, communication within the branch is excellent, if Lucy was out of the office someone within the team always knew what was happening.

Even when Conveyancing direct started failing on us the team worked tirelessly in the background to keep things moving, my review of Conveyancing direct will be posted shortly but in short use Burchell Edwards but not Conveyancing direct.

Emily was a star whilst dealing with letting our property, efficient, good communication and was extremely helpful throughout the process. Would not hesitate to use again or recommend!

Unprofessional, unethical and extremely pushy. I have never had an experience like this before where the agent and the vendor wanted to dictate to my partner and I whose services we could use in terms of an advisor. Withdrew our offer as we found a better place, but I would not recommend BE at all. Steer well clear. They make you feel as if you owe them something! Awful experience!

Great service from Tom and Emily at the Castle Bromwich branch. We had been looking to rent somewhere new for almost a year and this was the first really good experience we had. Communication was brilliant and everything was done in a timely manor. We’re now happily settled in our new home.

We’ve had Emily at the Castle Bromwich branch deal with renting our property the last few years. Always very helpful and efficient. Always very good with communication and will always be happy to speak to us on the phone with any queries.

Spoke to young person on 0121 369 - - - - today. About house for sale on their books. Please employ better customer service representative not just sell sell sell ect. Didn't seem they had much customer service training won't deal with them in future

Brilliant service from start to finish by Mandy in Tamworth. Needed a rental property asap, was in within 2 weeks. All issues were immediately dealt with. I have rented a lot over the years and this has been the best letting agent yet.

Emily @ Castle Bromwich Branch is excellent. She has helped us rent our property a couple of times now, ensuring quick turn around and good quality applicants.

We've also had to rent from them. The service was slick, professional and perfectly managed. Emily updates you constantly, offers help and advise and ensures the process is a smooth as moving house can be.

Recently put 2 properties up for rent , handled brilliantly by Emily. I had tenants in within a week with all the clear information I needed. I would definitely recommend them

Extremely unprofessional. My offer was accepted by the agency. Requested property is removed from the market but it was marked as "Sold STC". A week later I recieved a call to say vendor has received a higher offer. Within 24 hours the property had been removed from the market. No duty of care whatsoever and discriminatory treatment. DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY.

Worst experience ever. Had issues with rented property for over 18 months and refusing to deal with it. Simply passing from one colleague to another with false promises and lies!
