Cadbury World Reviews 

Absolutely awful. Took 11yr old grandson as we’d taken our kids some 25yrs ago when it was a proper tour of the factory and you could actually see chocolate being made. Now it’s just lots of queuing along dingy corridors for unknown activities which are totally underwhelming when you get to them.
Everything an exercise in trying to squeeze more money out of visitors. Tickets, shop and cafe all ridiculously overpriced. Avoid at all costs. Not even worth one star.

I’ve always LOVED Cadbury UK. The chocolate is smooth, flavorful and rich in milkyness. My complaint is why did Cadbury sell the rights to Hershey in USA, to make the horrible chocolate that they do?? This was the worst thing to do, since they don’t make it anything as close to what it should be. Why tarnish such an established brand for royalties? Why not setup manufacturering and distribution there and honor the process vs accepting this low quality/standard of taste. It’s terrible and a shame that Cadbury was desperate to get into the US market through lowering the standards and caving into the methods USA practices

10 school/college groups on the day we went. Long queues with students pushing to front and the impersonating Kevin and Perry. Felt sorry for Cadbury staff.

I was surprised when I read these reviews as I had a completely different experience . My family loved it, especially the 4d experience and the ride at the end. We found the deals on the chocolate were amazing and were definitely cheaper then in a normal shop. We got 3 free chocolate bars at the start and a melted chocolate cup about half way through. The playground was a good thing to do when we wanted to eat lunch. It was an incredible experience.

Herded like cattle from one queue to another. No clear indication what we were queueing for. We had really looked forward to bringing our grandchildren. I had been before and I don't remember being herded along dark grubby corridors or up dark staircases. A notice said the rides were unsuitable for people with high blood pressure, back problems etc but we were told there was no alternative to avoid taking the ride .

The food was nice in the cafe but very very expensive!

I didn't enjoy the experience. Very disappointed.

Came again today and it was best one seems to get better each time with more to do each visit....

Great first time been myself with my Disability Adults we arrived parked with ease went in sorted tickets got access pass we thought it would help but did not had Quere for ages in each bit but we did notice if you were in wheelchair and one with a pram they helped and supported you but with hidden disabilities did not bother my daughter became very anxious and panic with ASD also my son who has disabilites struggled so think really need to look at this area they had room for two areas access bit espically catering for ones with hidden disabiltes cafe was very very expensive so did not get anything shop expensive and did not have stuff chocolate i thought they would done no white chocolate only one type of bar otherwise not good selection very overpriced can get cheaper at supermarket
would like to go again but hopefully access will be sorted otherwise good day if had access sorted

We went to Cadbury World as a stop of on our way back home from holiday, I was a bit worried having read the reviews. But we were really pleased with our experience so feel I needed to write a review based on our trip. I went with my partner Nick and our daughter Issy who is 10. Nick and I have been before back in 2013 but this was Issy's first time visiting. The queue to enter Cadbury World looked really long but went by really quickly. Especially after the staff had made an announcement about only the guests with 13:10 time tickets should be queuing the queue then got significantly shorter. I found the staff to be very quick and efficient a member of staff was working her way down the line scanning tickets, it was actually guests having trouble finding their tickets that actually slowed this process down. We received three chocolate bars each so 9 in total, when entering Cadbury World this is plenty and was the same amount Nick and I received in 2013. I actually much preferred the selection of chocolates received this time than previously. I liked that you could buy a bag to put your chocolates in as this wasn't an option previously. once in it didn't feel busy and we could go at our own pace we really liked the Aztec Jungle, there's a game in there about what the Mayan's put in their hot chocolate which Issy found really interesting. Most games were either free to use or a really short wait, after recently visiting a wonderlab at a museum and having to wait a good 15 minutes for games to then have people push in this was really good in comparison.
The chocolate making video with moving seats was really good fun, really liked the chocolate making demonstration too. I was slightly disappointed that the Cadbury chocolate you get in the pot isn't melted but thought the portion of buttons was generous and liked that you could add jelly babies. I got a personalised chocolate slab for a friends birthday and was very impressed with the end results I know she'll be thrilled to receive it. The queue for the have a go area was big but again the staff did a really good job at controlling this giving people plenty of time to have a go but moving them on to the next part swiftly, clearing the stations and refilling quickly. The chocolate doddle and tempering stations were great, Issy was a pro at tempering the chocolate and a member of staff noticed this making and praised her efforts which made Issy's day! I preferred the 4D chocolate adventure to the chocolate quest ride personally. Issy really enjoyed both and couldn't pick a favourite between the two. Photo's were great I got a keyring and a magnet, I felt reasonably priced compared to other attractions photo prices too. The Bournville experience is interesting, I love the advertising avenue part and seeing the Gorilla playing the drums this was always my favourite Cadbury's advert. I thought the shop was well priced and there was good offers on, although I was disappointed that there wasn't any mis shapes left as these are mine and my Mums favourite. We then went outside to the play area, my daughter had a play on the African adventure and we saw the Freddo music show. This is definitely aimed at much younger children, but was good fun. All in all a very good day out we were at Cadbury World from 13:10 - 16:30. We thought it was well worth the money and would 100% recommend!

Just awful..outdated,out of touch.We were really looking forward to this visit..but we're very disappointed..No insight whatsoever into the actual making of chocolate, ,a short old fashioned video presentation about cocoa beans...a walk through information " experience " ..total waste of time and money..We booked a specific time slot ( they are every 10 mins) this was pointless as we then queued to receive our " free " 3 items of chocolate ...had 1 table showcasing how chocolate is made...1 table...couldn't get near it to see ..whole experience is super badly organised, £22 for a ticket..one of these places that need to start again.wirh everything...really look at what customers want..if your visiting a chocolate making factory....this is what we want to see....sadly and utterly disappointed..never again even if it was free

Place is dated and tired, interactive activities far to small, struggled to see anything chocolate related.
Seems like this whole thing is one big cash grab.

First visit since our children were young 30 years ago. It’s gone downhill, no real experience or views of the chocolate factory which is what Bournville is! You could put this attraction anywhere in the uk and it would feel the same. Also a ridiculous price for what it is, £150 for 3adults and three children is excessive. Save you money , go to a supermarket to get your chocolate, it’s cheaper!

The queues are ridiculous! Such a shame. You can't stop to look at anything it's so busy.

The more they improve this attraction the worse it gets! Very poor accessibility through most of the venue for disabled guest. Ticket expensive, melting chocolate machine broken, stingy with the free chocolate, diabolical new tour and ride. We loved the old bean ride. Everything streamlined and poor. Won’t be visiting again. Used to be a great day out. Not anymore.

Took my wife and three children (ages 15, 13, and 10) for a visit to Cadbury World. I had fond memories of visiting in the 1990s on a school trip, so I was curious to see how it had changed. Entry was free with our Merlin Passes.

Unfortunately, it got off to a poor start. We had a 12:40pm entry time but didn’t get in until around 1:10pm, after standing in a 30-minute queue in the reception area. It was organised chaos with multiple queues and unclear direction — staff were semi-friendly but quite assertive, and it felt like they were just trying to manage the crowd rather than make anyone feel welcome.

The tour began with a fairly adult-oriented history of chocolate, featuring some theatrical presentations with movement and sound effects, which were decent. However, after that, the experience quickly shifted to being aimed squarely at very young children — definitely under 10s.

The live demonstration was okay, but one staff member gave incorrect information about marble cooling chocolate by saying marble was “semi-radioactive” — and it didn’t seem like they were joking, which was concerning.

Much of the rest of the visit involved queuing — for the 4D adventure, chocolate-smearing activity, and a small ride. There was minimal live engagement or entertainment. Disappointingly, you no longer see any live chocolate-making or factory staff/machines in action. I suppose that’s down to health and safety regulations, but I had hoped for something closer to “Inside the Factory” with Gregg Wallace, Probably an over expectation of mine!

The gift shop had some reasonable bulk-buy discounts, but the café was shockingly overpriced, £8 for a 500ml coke & one ice cream. Overall, we were there for about two hours, and at least 25% of that was spent in queues with no interaction or entertainment.

In summary, it’s 100% geared for younger children and I think the whole experience is generally poorly set up. You feel pressured to move on and feel like you’re the one on a conveyor belt, not the chocolate. I’d suggest giving it a miss. A very underwhelming visit, Cadbury running on their historical brand name, but not delivering the goods — 1 star from me

Wouldn’t go again!!

I have been before, a couple of years ago. The staff were nice, I will give them that, but we were easily lost, loads of queues, and it feels a bit rushed. For example, Advertisment Avenue is just an excuse for a queue for the new ride, which doesn't work properly. It just gives pity points. Also, my child tried to enter the park with my 18 year old daughter, to which the security guard just told her 'wait for your parents'. She is legal age, therefore she can enter. Wouldn't recommend unless they bring back cadabra.

Took my wife for a surprise Birthday treat. What a marvellous time. Staff/ employees were so friendly and helpful. Brilliant walking tour really explains the history of Cadburys.
Pitched really well for children and Adults. Finished off with an excellent tea and Prosecco. My wife's GF was just as good as my 'normal' selection.

Was really disappointing, you only get three bars of chocolate per person. The whole experience was just so underwhelming, would not visit again.

The shop hardly had any discounts at all

Visited with family, they've changed a few of the rides around and the place felt very fresh and engaging for children.

Went today was hot and stuffy long queue’s , haven’t been since my kids were little but around every corner you got a chocolate bar now you just get one when you come off the ride , and you use to be able to walk right along the corridor and see the staff at work now you just get a little room where they engrave chocolate if you want to purchase it .. won’t go back overpriced for what it is.
