I decided to send a cake to my partner for his birthday. He works at a construction site well inside the M25. The lady on the phone - Joyce - told me the guarantee was by 8pm same-day. (I placed this order before 9am.) I explained that the site closes at 7, and asked could it be delivered by then. She again said the guarantee is by 8pm but they would try harder if I spent more money. She said if I spent 100 pounds, they would prioritize it. I decided to go for it anyway. As it turns out there's this whole section in their T&C that traffic, bla bla bla, anything can delay the delivery, and that failing to deliver a cake "even 2 hours late" won't result in a refund. Joyce guaranteed by 8pm knowing that it might not happen, definitely knowing it wouldn't happen even at 7, and took my money anyway. She did not explain any of the fine print, I just took her word for it.
So on a Friday night, on his birthday, my partner stuck around work for an extra hour, for something that was supposed to be a surprise. It never arrived.
I received a text at about 8:30 to say my delivery was next, and apparently they arrived at the (completely empty work site) at 9.
First they emailed me to say the item was undeliverable and for 15 pounds I can have it re-attempted. They said they were on time in the email. I replied with a screen shot of the text message I received showing we were "next" already past the 'guaranteed' time.
I rang the next day and talked to someone who then acknowledged the driver turned up after 9pm, and he just said there's no guarantee, and to read the T&Cs.
I emailed the complaints area, and their response was that for 15 more quid I could have the delivery attempted again on Monday. I asked if I could even get a credit for a future order, and they didn't respond.
In the meantime Joyce had emailed me to say it wasn't guaranteed, and I replied asking if she could show that she did anything other than blatantly lie to me, and she didn't respond. Their calls are recorded, and I asked everyone who was emailing me at this point to pull the call, and see for themselves if Joyce misled me. There was no response to this.
What bugs me the most is that Joyce could have just been honest and said it likely wouldn't happen or even that there's only a 50% chance of it happening - unless I spent 100 quid. She just took my 50 quid and is able to sleep at night. Cool cool cool.
They had like 10 hours to take a cake out of the freezer, slap some icing on it and deliver it, and couldn't make good on that for 50 quid. Their entire business is around same-day deliveries. It was the most basic cake possible.

Placed an order a week before my son’s birthday party - Lukshan Ravikumar was polite on the phone and took the order promptly and an accompanying invoice was sent with all the details. A payment of £102.99 was taken. I was promised delivery between the hours 8am-8pm but the cake failed to arrive. No one answered the phone, I tried many times throughout the day, there has been no response to my emails nor my WhatsApp messages. My 6 year old boy was left extremely upset after being promised a special birthday cake that he helped design. Do not use this retailer.

Total con…Don’t use this place!!!
Ordered a cake to be delivered, paid for it fully expecting it to arrive. NOTHING! No cake, not answering calls, not answering messages or emails. Now massively out of pocket!

Ordered cake pops for my twins 4th birthday 2 days ago. I'm still waiting for them.
Nobody answers the phone, email, chat or whats app messages.

I’ve order on the 18April a cake for my husbands birthday. I’ve done the payment and the communication was all done by WhatsApp as I’ve ordered before from them and had no complaints. They were replying within one minute.

I’ve ordered the cake to be delivered yesterday the 5th of may. No cake to be seen. No communication via email, WhatsApp or phone. I’ve rang a number of times yesterday, contacted by email and text messages and no one is showing their faces. Completely unacceptable behaviour from a company.

Will not be ordering ever again from them.

I’ve asked for a refund but will likely get it through the bank.

Paid £69.99 on the 3rd May for a cake to be delivered for the 5th may.

All i saw on the 3rd may was 2.6K reviews of everyone recieving there cake happy or not.

Only to be one of the victims who did not recieve their product this week.

If you are suffering like me and have no way of getting a refund because these people will not pick up the phone, answer an email, respond to their facebook, respond to whatsapp or respond to a text.

Under consumers rights act 2015. Contact your bank and say they have taken your money, they have not delivered the product and you want an investigation undertaken.

I am absolutely appalled. This company has ruined several celebrations this week and not one person can tell us why or even update their website to state they cannot deliver.

I was stuck for time for my husband’s birthday celebrations so ordered online. Fantastic choice, great price and the delivery arrived on allocated date by Royal Mail in perfect condition. Guests all loved it. Will definitely order again

I loved bakery food a lot. I am a regular customer of this shop. I've ordered for some various flavors of cup cakes & pastries, they delivered so quick. Well packed, no damages of food in boxes.

I was so happy to get the cupcakes on the same day I ordered them. It's an amazing service. They were really tasty and as I have an egg allergy this bakery is the perfect place for my needs. My family said they couldn't tell the difference. Thank you!

Highly recommend this cake company.
We have had many cakes from them over years and everyone has look and tasted amazing whether it was chocolate vanilla or red velvet sponge everyone was light and soft and moist. The buttercream fillings were delicious. We’ve had icing fondant cakes and the most recent was a two tiered Cream marbled cake with red velvet at the top and vanilla sponge with kinder bueno filling at the bottom. It was lovely.
The customer service is excellent too.

I received excellent customer service from this cake shop! They were able to design & make a replica of a designer boot I wanted made!👌🏾 Great price! Was very impressed of the service I received.
