I’ve used Gemma and Eve now on and off for 5 years.
I recently got in touch as some challenges with my 2.5 year old and Eve was so lovey. Their program isn’t suitable for my needs but she spent time listening and gave me tips and advice on how to tweak the issues! And as always her advice worked.
Their are compassionate and caring and without them I’m be a broken sleep deprived mum.

I first used C&B about 5 and a half years ago to help sort our eldest daughters’ sleep and quite frankly save our marriage, and I have used the steps again with our second daughter.
We have hit a bit of a snag recently with baby’s naps but night sleep is unaffected, so I asked for a call to talk through where we may be going wrong. I spoke with the lovely Eve (felt like I was talking to a celebrity, I watch her on instagram all the time 😂) and explained our issue. She straight away told me that I don’t qualify for the 12 week plan and instead offered me some words of encouragement and guidance.
It would be very easy for C&B to turn people away if no money was to be made, but Eve and Gem are so caring and considerate that they genuinely want to help, and I will be forever grateful to them for giving us the gift of sleep!

Really kind and honest
After following C&B for a long time and knowing a few friends who had followed their plans, I had a discovery call today with Eve about my toddler and her sleep set backs after transitioning to a bed. She was lovely and kind, basically told me I sounded like I was doing all the right things and it would keep improving over the next few days/week, I probably just needed to be more confident in myself and gave a bit of advice about not making bedtime sound negative.
She said she couldn't justify charging me for one of their plans as realistically if I just kept going we would get there.
I really appreciated Eves honesty and time this morning, thank you so much!
A happy and contented 12 hour sleeping baby!
Just woken to find our 6 month old still happily sleeping from another 12 hour sleep (consistent now for a few weeks since turning 6mo!) and just so thankful to have used this plan for the second time round to establish solid naps and sleep.
It’s a game changer. He’s so happy and content and even when he wakes in the morning now, lays there happily with his comforter having a little play and roll around (no tears!)
For any struggling parents, you don’t have to with this.

Absolutely incredible, highly highly recommend
Wow, wear do I start. Ive followed calm and bright sleep support on insta since my 5 year old was a baby and we used the 18month+ plan when he was 3 years as had a difficult transition from cot to bed. The plan worked brilliantly and got our good sleeper settling on his own again as he did previously.
We have since had a second baby, now 7 months old, who we have just used the nurture and rested baby plan with. The first 6 months we enjoyed lots of contact naps, cuddles, slept in the next to me crib in our room and a bit of course sleeping too. As he approached 6 months we found this difficult as he was getting upset in the daytime not being able to settle himself and didn't seem to nap well having a contact nap either. We were losing lots of sleep and he was waking frequently through the night. We decided to follow the rested baby plan at 6 months and transitioned him to his cot in his room at the same time. We followed the plan consistently for the 5 days and it was brilliant! We went from him never napping on his own and frequent night wakes to him sleeping in his cot for all day naps and all night every night from then onwards. 6 weeks on, he still sleeps from 6.30pm-6/7am and just wakes for 1 night feed. So proud of him! He wakes up smiling and babbling and is so content. Best decision we ever made. If you persevere, it honestly changes your life! It enabled me to spend quality time with my 5 year old over the aeastsr holidays while he napped too. Highly recommend!

Thank you will never be enough
We went from sleep deprived parents and a behaviourally challenging toddler. To a toddler who is so incredibly happy, loving and living his best life with his parents who can now give him their all within a matter of days.
We have been following the sleep plan for 5 days and we have gone from our son screaming for 50 minutes to him self settling to sleep within 20 minutes (with very minimal protest). Our son previously would only contact nap and had never napped in his cot, he now happily sleeps in his cot for up to 2 hours.
We can't thank Lucy enough for all the advice and support. Thank you for honestly changing all of our lives for the better. We are so glad we had the 1:1 support to just listen to our worries, take advice on what to do and what not to do and just having reassurance that we were doing the right thing and our instincts are correct.
The plan is worth every penny and all I can say is there is no cost on happiness.

Overall disappointed in this company
Overall disappointed in this company. I appreciate the many positive reviews but for me it wasn’t a positive experience (and wasted money), and am sharing my experience so others can be aware in case they want to be.
I wish I had taken more notice of the review by Hannah on here of January - my thoughts are similar to hers - as well as the other earlier more negative reviews.
My main points are i) I think this company should be clearer that their main approach involves leaving the baby to cry alone for periods; ii) that they should be more transparent about differing evidence re sleep teaching; and iii) they should consider how they engage with individual parents given the significant power inbalance between them as sleep consultants and a tired parent.
Detail of my experience:
I did the self assessment on their website after having dm’d the company on instagram (their post said get in touch for advice). I got an automated response saying do the self assessment on their website.
I did the self assessment - including saying I had concerns about leaving my baby to cry, and clicking on “significant concerns” about this. The assessment recommended the ‘Rested Baby’ plan. I bought this with three days of support.
I had the intro call (about 20 mins) - the adviser was perfectly nice but said that she didn’t think I’d get any further with the gentle approach and so I should do the approach that involves leaving my baby to cry alone for periods. I explained I didn’t want to do this but she said that was the only thing other than perhaps doing a dream feed. (I have since continued with my own gradual approach and baby is sleeping well).
I messaged her the next day to double check she didn’t think she could help with the gentler approach. She didn’t. I therefore cancelled the one-to-one support and requested a refund.
One of the founders called me saying they wanted to understand my concerns. Again, they were perfectly nice although they did spend most of the call telling me about how their approach of leaving baby to cry for periods is totally fine (saying there is no evidence of harm). In the moment during the call I felt silly for doubting it, but soon after the call ended I felt quite manipulated - there is a real power imbalance between a sleep consultant and an exhausted parent and I feel as though I was basically being told I was wrong to doubt their approach. I’m not saying that was intentional by them, but that is the reality of the situation between a parent seeking help on such an issue and I think they could perhaps think about how they handle such calls with customers.
I have since had advice from both my NHS GP and NHS health visitors that I shouldn’t do sleep training before one year old and providing evidence on the harm it can do. I think the company should be more transparent on the conflicting evidence rather than always saying there is “no evidence” that it is harmful.
Also on the call with the founder I explained that I’d clicked I had significant concerns about leaving my baby to cry on their assessment and they said they’d look into it as it shouldn’t have recommended the Rested Baby course given I’d said I had those concerns. However, a month on and their assessment still recommends that course when I click on significant concerns about crying. This suggests to me they a) were insincere on the call with me; and b) are not making any effort to be more transparent about their support and ensure it’s suitable for the parent.
They also said they they would refund me the 1:1 follow up support but that they needed to keep the cost of the initial call (which was not part of the follow up support) or they would be “out of pocket”, despite that call not providing me with any new information/help. However, about a week later they discounted their online resources by 50% - that showed to me they don’t really care about the individual customer. How would I have made them out of pocket if they could discount all that?
As per the start of this review, I appreciate their support seems to work for many people, and I’m not criticising the individual people, but I do feel the company should consider how it communicates its support and be much clearer that their support focuses on controlled crying approaches.

Actual magic
As our baby sleeps and we actually watch a tv show together, most nights I look at the monitor and say to my husband - I can’t believe we are doing this! 2 months ago it felt like this was a long way off, but after following the plan for 2 days this has been our reality for almost two months!
I was so nervous in the beginning and doubtful it would even work for my child but it was a lot easier than I thought it would be and when I had questions calm and bright were so lovely and supportive and replied very quickly.

I can’t believe this is my life now 🤯 1 week of sleep support and my baby boy competently sleeps independently. I have struggled for 8 months doing all the “ings”. Not having to deal with crippling anxiety every evening has given me my life back. The support has been unmatched. I’ve never felt alone through the whole process, I’ve felt like someone has held my hand through it all (it really has been so much easier than I ever anticipated) You honestly are sleep angels ❤️🌹

This worked miracles with 5 month old
This worked miracles with our 5 month old! We hired a sleep consultant from another company who was incredibly brutal and not reassuring at all. We bought the Calm & Bright plan on top as I needed some kind reassurance that we were not going to break our baby. I loved that the guides give super clear instructions as to when and how to intervene. Unfortunately we had a baby who would cry A LOT those first 2 nights so I needed to know what to do at those very hard moments rather than just letting him cry it out forever. Less than a week in and our 5 month old sleeps through the night 7-7. A week before he was waking 3-6 times a night to breastfeed. Thank you for your clear guidance, kindness and RESULTS!

Calm and Bright were a breath of fresh air!
Calm and Bright were a breath of fresh air after 2x unsuccessful attempts from other "market leaders" in the baby sleep advice market. (Who either complicated things significantly, didn't listen to what we had said or sold us products that did not align with our needs).
During the initial discovery call I felt immediately on the same page as Eve and futhermore she could see that I needed some small specific tweaks to adapt to my toddler's evolving personality. This helped significantly to break some patterns we had gotten ourselves in to and I went on to purchase the Rested Toddler package. The portal and information is great and very straightforward. The mixture of paces for the approach was very well thoughtout and the simple approach meant that we were finally able to smooth out the last few issues adhering properly to the plan.
My child has now gone down pre 730pm for the first time since December consistently over the last few days and the whole family feels lighter and better rested as a result.
Calm and Brights approach is simple, practical and straightforward and is delivered with empathy and common sense. I couldnt have asked for more and would recommmend them to anyone who finds themselves in a similar boat. I wish I had found them sooner!!!!

Slept 11.5 hours straight on day 2!!
I really didn't think we'd be able to add to the reviews of "she slept through the night!" as I just assumed people got lucky but here we are...
We purchased The Rested Baby Plan and one day of 1:1 WhatsApp support for our 5 month old baby. She wasn't a terrible sleeper but some nights would wake every 2 hours, and needed us to put her dummy in frequently throughout the night. She was also rocked or fed to sleep, she had never fallen asleep independently and i feared that if we continued this, she would be reliant on us throughout the night and always have disrupted sleep.
The week prior to starting the scenic route, we gradually transitioned our daughter out of her swaddle as we knew rolling was on the horizon and didn't want to sleep train with the swaddle and then re-train without.
So once she was out the swaddle we booked our 1:1 support. Fortunately, Anna was able to accommodate a Saturday for support so that me and my husband could both be part of the training. The first day was tough for naps, but the scenic route was very gentle and we felt responsive to our daughter's needs. Anna was readily available to answer any troubleshooting Q's, she was v knowledgeable and supportive.
That night she settled within 20 mins and she only woke once and did a 6 hour stint which is the longest she'd done in weeks.
The next day, she fell asleep quicker for her naps and slept slightly longer. For bedtime, she needed no reassurance visits as she'd already fallen asleep. She slept from 8pm-7:30am (which we woke her for to stick to a routine, I'm sure she'd have gone for longer!). We're currently on the third day and her naps have improved (still not asleep as easily as the night sleep but we were told that is normal as less sleep pressure).
To add, we also went cold turkey with her dummy as it had become a hindrance rather than a support as she was losing it throughout the night, but not old enough to find it herself so it was very disruptive that she relied on it to self-soothe. She is now dummy free!! Which for us is amazing as we never planned on introducing a dummy anyway so to be without it already is great.

A one size fits all approach for tiny humans and exhausted parents who are not "one size"
I'm usually a "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it" person. But I used this service based on their glowing reviews and I just wish I had come across someone explaining this, for a more rounded perspective before I spent my money. My experience was in May 2024 when my baby was 9 months. I'm now writing in Jan 2025 (babe is 17 months) so I've spent a long time thinking about what I experienced!
Overall, I'm sure that the ladies who the company are really lovely people. I think they genuinely have a heart for wanting to help people and I have no doubt that their approach is quite literally life saving for some people.
I assume that their service is used by parents (probably mainly mums) that are at the end of themselves with sleep deprivation and totally desperate for help. As such, this is a very vulnerable population group. I was one of those vulnerable people and if I could, I would advise myself not to spend so much money on it. But I was desperate, so I did!
The way I received/interpretted their marketing was that they are a gentle nuanced approach with really supportive guidance to help you along your way with a 100% guaranteed (or your money back) approach to help your baby sleep through the night or at least much longer stretches...
I paid £178 in total for The Rested Baby Plan and a half an hour support phone call because I felt I would need the extra help.
The Rested Baby Plan gives you access to an online portal which takes you through some education about baby sleep and a couple of options of how to (in common parlance) "sleep train" your baby. The basics of these approaches were things I'd already come across I my desperate googling online (e.g. Feber method) or I also later found were freely available through my NHS Health Visitor service (and a range of other ideas too). The one golden nugget for me that helped was a small bit of information that broke down nap gaps and wake windows. So I'm grateful for that. Other than that I was a bit disappointed because, based on how I'd received the marketing, I was hoping for some great secret to be revealed of how to settle your baby in a really calm, gentle, supportive way that was easier than anything else I'd come across... haha! Probably a bit naive of me but as I said - desperate & therefore vulnerable to throw money at things a bit thoughtlessly!
I think essentially, Calm & Bright's USP is that they offer the person to person support through following through on the basics of sleep training. It was recommended to me to follow, essentially, the Feber method. I had already raised that I had a lot of concerns and doubts about leaving my baby crying because I felt it was likely he was trying to communicate something with me (he was a very windy baby and often got uncomfortable). However, in this 30 min call I was very strongly advised and encouraged to keep going. To her credit, the lovely lady (and she was lovely) spent much longer than 30 mins on the phone with me. I think she really wanted to help but she didn't really *know* know me or my baby and our needs. After half an hour of him crying, my husband popping in and out and me sitting on the phone to her, I said... "he sounds like he's in pain, maybe he's teething?" And she agreed that I should go in and comfort him.
Basically I think from 4 months old - now my child has always either been teething or poorly or windy! Just not comfortable! She recommended teething gels to me and it was left there. I could have paid for further phone call support however I felt like overall my gut was telling me that this just wasn't the right approach for my baby and I didn't want to feel pushed (through enthusiastic encouragement) into parenting my child in a way that didn't sit well with me.
The only way you get money back if it's not right for you is if you follow to the letter what they tell you to do and keep a log of it as evidence. So I could have tried that and part of me thinks it might not have worked and we could have got a refund. But at what cost to me and my boy's relationship when everything in me was screaming that he needed me with him when he was upset because he wasn't comfortable. I'm so glad I didn't push through with it. But also frustrated that I didn't realise what I would be asked to do before I paid.
I think ultimately, what I needed and was looking for was someone to encourage me and give me the strength to parent in the way that felt right for me and my baby. For example, since that point, I have learnt so much about the evidence demonstrating how much more sleep breastfeeding mothers get when you co-sleep. To be empowered in that and take the guilt away (it's the norm in so many countries!) was what I personally needed.
For some women, this will be the community, strength and encouragement they need. For me it wasn't and I was blind to that, due to being so vulnerable, until it was too late.

Amazing people, great advice
I honestly cannot shout about the calm and bright team enough! After being recommended by several friends, I got in contact for the plan and 3 days of one to one support, with the lovely Lucy, as my 9 month old son was really struggle to self settle and was waking multiple times in the night, let alone only napping in the car or pram.. when I say I really did think my son would beat the system with how defiant he was with wanting cuddles and milk to sleep!
Lucy gave me such solid, informative advice, adjusting where needed. By a week, my son wasn’t only starting to self settle in his cot for all 3 of his sleeps but was sleeping 12 hours straight at night! Unbelievable.
Lovely team, extremely informative, supportive and caring advice for helping you support your little one to self soothe. Thank you guys so much for not only helping my son but helping my partner and I feel human and connected again x

What a wonderful small personalised company
What a wonderful company! My 18 month old was waking every night 3-4 times at least relying on milk and cuddles to go back to sleep, not napping well and we were exhausted. He is our third child but sleep just was not clicking. I paid for the sleep support and even though I did not pay for any 1:1 support Gem & Eve took the time to voice note me and check in after I started the process. This was over and beyond what I had paid for. They gave me some extra tips to help with the 1hr night wake he was having and it worked a dream!
From 2 exhausted parents we are so so grateful to them because it has transformed our lives getting uninterrupted sleep again!
Not only has it affected his night sleep but he now sleeps for 1.5hrs-2hrs for his naps whereas before it was 45 mins max! His speech has improved and he’s generally well rested and happy!

Lovely team, but fundamentally plans are no different to any other sleep training
The team at Calm and Bright are lovely no doubt. But they act as though they're selling an innovative fix all plan, whereas all they're doing is a gentle version of Ferber, which you can get anywhere on the Internet for free. When you ask questions, you often get vague responses which result in telling you to pay for more support, which I paid for but found the cost steep and personally didn't find the advice that helpful. I think these guys are very clever with their marketing, they keep talking about how they are NHS practitioners, as though this business is affiliated with the NHS - something doesn't sit right with me as an NHS nurse here. My advice would be to save your money and try sleep training, but limit the time you remove yourself from the room to a level where you are comfortable. On a positive note C&B are very quick to respond on Instagram, always in very gentle voices, however the answer is nearly always buy a plan.
