CampusBear buys used college textbooks directly from students across the United States. We provide instant price quotes on our website, free shipping labels so you never pay to send us your books, and fast payment through PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, and other digital payout methods. Every quote we issue is backed by real-time market data. We price each book individually based on current demand, not bulk estimates, which means you get a fair offer that reflects what your textbook is actually worth. When your books arrive at our facility, we process them quickly and send payment, typically within 2 business days of receiving your shipment. We've been in the textbook buyback business for almost a decade, handling hundreds of thousands of transactions. Our operation is built on accuracy and transparency: the price we quote is the price we pay, as long as the book matches the condition described. No hidden deductions, no surprise rejections without explanation. Whether you're selling a single textbook at the end of the semester or clearing out a shelf of books you've accumulated over your college career, the process is the same: get a quote, print your free shipping label, pack your books, and get paid. Based in Texas. Paying out nationwide. Every book individually evaluated.

The payout METHOD is overly complicated. Just send the money and an email.
Let us choose the payment method when I place the order/send the books in (as I always have done with other vendors over more than 20 years)

Thank you for the honest feedback! We hear you on the payout process, we use Tremendous for order payments specifically for the flexibility it offers (choice between PayPal, Venmo, bank transfer, and more), but we understand it's an extra step compared to a more traditional single-method setup. We appreciate your business and will keep this in mind.

Hello Donna, thank you for the review, and we are sorry for what this put you through.
Our payouts are sent electronically by default, so we do not mail checks as a matter of course, and whatever check reached you did not come from CampusBear. If you still have it, we would like to see it.
We pulled your orders as soon as we saw this and found the problem. Your payment was sent, you attempted to redeem it, and the transfer was rejected on the banking side. You are owed $83.01 and we want you to have it. Our support line is open six days a week and we would have solved this in one message, so please reach out any time something looks wrong.
We have texted and emailed you with several ways to get paid, including a direct PayPal payment from us, a prepaid Visa card, an Amazon gift card, or a mailed check if that is what you prefer. We will also stay on the phone and walk you through it.
Fast payment will always recommend.

Hi Penney, thank you for flagging this. Your payment was issued on August 6 through our payment provider, Tremendous, and our records show the reward email was delivered but not yet opened. We've resent it and reached out by text and email so we can get this into your hands. If anything is still outstanding, contact us at support@campusbear.com and we'll resolve it immediately.
