We had the pleasure to have two junk ninjas at our home. Paul and Raymond made the whole experience as easy as it possibly could be. They removed a chest freezer and fridge from the basement of our old home. The spaces were tight and the appliances were large and heavy but they made it work in true ninja fashion. I can’t say enough about the professionalism, friendliness and humour that these two individuals displayed. We would absolutely recommend this company and will be using them again in the future

I made a reservation on the Capital Junk website, used the discount code provided and received a confirmation email. On the day of removal I waited for them to arrive during the scheduled reserved time period, 2 - 4 and no one called. I called the Ottawa office and spoke with Caleb who said my reservation wasn’t in the system. I read him word for word the confirmation email and provided the date and time I received it but he did not seem to care. He said he would speak with his manager and call me back but I had little faith based on his non-chalance about the whole thing. I was moving in less than 48 hours and made the reservation 12 days in advance so I had little time to get it figured out. I went back online made another reservation for the next day without the discount code, received the confirmation email and called Capital Junk back. Spoke with same person, who said nothing about speaking with his manager and I asked him to confirm this reservation was actually in the system which if he had any inclination to provide customer service he probably could have made the reservation for me but regardless he confirmed the system showed my reservation for the next day. Next day they showed up, charged me $394 no discount or apology for the error from the day before and all was done. There is value in what this company does but their poor customer service and inability to assist someone is the reason for the poor review. If you book online I would suggest calling to confirm the system registers the reservation.

Overall, the service was good. They showed up on time and removed the junk rather quickly. This being said, I was extremely disappointed by the cost. When I originally made the booking online, I was phoned shortly thereafter to discuss the details of the junk. I provided a thorough description of the material but was never told that there would be a 20% surcharge for "mass" as wood is considered heavy and more difficult to recycle. When I was told of this surcharge, it was already too late to turn them away. In the future, I will be renting a bin which is significantly cheaper. I will never use this service again.

From quote to removal of my hot tub the team was polite, prompt, efficient, and cleaned up like it was never there! It was likely the hottest day of this summer and they were happy and pleasant the whole time. I would recommend this company for hot tub removal.

Arrived when they said they would. Got the work done in a very short period of time and were great to work with. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I have worked with Capital Junk twice this spring and both times, the teams arrived on time, were courteous and friendly, worked quickly to remove construction debris from behind and beside our house and just made the mess go away! Their services are exactly as advertised -- and I would recommend them to anyone who needs junk, garbage, construction debris removed from their home.

I just wish I had known it would be so expensive to get ride of a mattress. I would have looked for other alternatives. Maybe add an estimator tool on the website?

They called ahead, showed up on time, offered quickly an estimate for the cost and were careful when removing the item to not damage the house. Both were very polite and courteous. Alongside how easy it was to book, I'd recommend them to anyone!

i had one sofa, a light 4" boxspring and a double bedframe. it took 5 minutes to load the truck. it was $300 bloody dollars. because, they said, it went by load size. but then they said, 'this is great because now we're off for the day."

Extremely easy booking process. Crew came on time - in fact came a little early but called first to make sure that it was OK. The two gentlemen who came to remove the items worked efficiently and without fuss. The items were cleared out in no time. Price was very reasonable. All in all a completely stress-free and satisfactory experience. I will recommend (already have) to anyone requiring this service. And I will definitely call on Capital Junk again in the future.
