Having sold my 4WD a few months ago on Carsales.com, I needed to sell my beloved Tvan. Placing the ad was easy and painless; before Christmas there were very few enquiries, but after refreshing the ad a couple of weeks ago, there were several enquiries. Today I sealed a deal and banked the proceeds. I had to lower my sights a bit, but I needed my garage back!

I think it's a little expensive at $90 and feel $50 is a much more reasonable price. Especially if you are selling a number of items on across the car sales .com network. A discount would be good

Sold caravan without any problems except for email from someone named Tommi who gave wrong phone number & post code. He wanted to buy using Skrill payment system and requested our address to pickup caravan we requested bank cheque/cash and all communication stopped??

Found it easy to use Caravan sales and had responses to ad within a week of placing it.

Numerous enquiries from interstate and intrastate resulting in the van going to SA. First time user of the facility. Easy use. Graph info as supplied found very useful. Would have no hesitation using the site in the future.

Very happy with the caravansales site - I created my ad over the weekend and it has already been sold...and for a price I am happy with so can't complain.

For people like my parents using this system and many other nomads in the buying and selling game of caravans this system is virtually impossible to set up by themselves and constant updating is a hassle for them too.

I myself thought it was fairly straight forward however I was confused as to once the add was approved the first time why it had to be constantly approved before it was updated. People would really only be changing the price and other small errors or changes? Especially annoying if you made a mistake on the first update you had to submit another one. My add performance was also very low. We had the add up for 3 months maybe more and only received 1 enquiry even though the price was lower than market value of the same or smaller vans. If I had known in the first place that the more you update the more the add gets moved back to the top I would have worked harder to update it constantly. As seen on my add performance review emails no one looks at it once it has been on for about 2 days.
However at the end of the day I liked the phone number protection and the add enables you to have all the appropriate details and pictures and form the 1 phone call we received we ended up selling the van to someone 4 hours away.
The ads are pricey but if you sell i guess its worth it.
