No wait time is a total lie

I chose CareNow because your website claims little to no wait time. However, this was completely inaccurate.

I made an online reservation for a simple school athletic physical, yet still waited over an hour before being seen. This defeats the purpose of “saving a spot in line” and is very misleading to patients planning their time.

Please either improve your scheduling system or be more transparent about actual wait times.

Beware of Extra Charges

CareNow in Lakewood tried to tack on an extra $100 on top of my copay, claiming it was “to protect them in case my insurance didn’t pay.” That is not how copays work, and it felt like they were banking on patients not knowing better.

This kind of billing practice is unacceptable. Patients deserve honesty and transparency—not made‑up fees.

I MADE 6 PHONE CALLS TO PAY MY BILL TO THE # 844-422-3627 ON THE STATEMENT. THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM IS LENGHTHY AND UNECESSARY BEING WHEN YOU FINALLY SPEAK WITH AN AGENT THEY ASK THE SAME QUESTIONS. ADDITONALLY THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO PROCESS ANY PAYMENTS, SHALA PUT ME ON HOLD BACK TO THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM, DORA PUT ME ON HOLD BACK TO THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM I CAN GO ON AND ON. THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PROCESS PAYMENTS. I FINALLY WENT ON THE WEBSITE TO PAY WHICH I THOUGHT IT WAS QUICKER TO SPEAK WITH A PERSON WHO WORKS FOR CARENOW BILLING. INCOMPETENCE!

Horrible and VERY DISHONEST billing practices

We have used this location for more than a few years and our most recent visit they have charged us $300+ for a simple 5 minute office visit as if we were a "new patient" rather than their standard charge of $180. 6+ phone calls, 2 in person visits to the location AND a message (unreturned of course) left with their corporate "ethics officer" and still no resolution for us. Just horrible customer service and billing practices. Beware of these crooks!

Not being transparent with price

I paid $210 for my first visit, after two days I went back to ask if I required to pay another $210 for second visit. The front desk said since it was within a short time frame, so I would only need to pay $50. After a few weeks I found out that there was $160 charged on my card. I feel it is unethical to lie to someone like this. If I would have known the correct price at the time, I probably would have made a different decision.

People were nice and friendly

People were nice and friendly, but no one told me the medicine they prescribed would be $1500.00 I would have asked for alternate options if I had known: suggestion; alerts customers if the medicine retail price is excessive and offer alternatives at the visit.

Three and a half hours and a second…

Three and a half hours and a second location and I'm still waiting for a simple foot x-ray. Had to drive 30 minutes away to another location because the first had no xray tech. Waited another hour just to be seen at the second location as if I was starting over and not sent from another location. Sitting here in pain, not just from my foot injury, but also from hunger as I didn't expect it to spend 4+ hours here. I feel like I do not count and that seeing me in any kind of timely manner isn't a priority to them - heaven forbid they move a little faster than a snail's pace. Very, very dehumanizing, which is a horrible state for medical professionals to be.

Extremely RUDE and CONDESCENDING…

Extremely RUDE and CONDESCENDING receptionist was very unhelpful and discourteous. They wanted to charge me $180 where I have always paid $50 copay and absolutely NOTHING has changed in my insurance policy.

They had access to my CONFIDENTIAL information on my insurance policy which is a gross violation of confidentiality.

They were telling me how much of out of pocket I have used, the total amount of out of pocket deductible remaining.

They have NO business having access to that information.
The receptionists were trying to tell me like I am an idiot who doesn't understand insurance policies. My insurance has a copayment of $75 ONLY for a visit to a specialist’s office; specialist like a pulmonologist or a cardiologist or a urologist. This receptionist blurted out that if I take away the specialist’s copayment of $75, then I will be billed by CareNow. Why would you charge a copayment at an urgent care center to be seen by a regular doctor or worse, a physician’s assistant or a nurse practitioner which is usually the case at such money grabbing places.

This location was THE most horrible experience I ever had at any urgent care facility including the CareNow on 14K block on Preston and Beltline.

I am NEVER, ever returning to this place.

I will be filing a formal complaint against them with my insurance carrier as well as state and federal authorities.

CONFIRM THEY BILL YOUR INSURANCE CORRECTLY!

Be aware and confirm they bill your insurance correctly. Due to negligence and the fact the doctor onsite also files as a private doctor, what should have been a $50.00 copay resulted in a $380.00 bill. I've called several times to their service center, and they keep giving me the run around. After speaking to two different associates in which I was told my case was being resolved and to call back in 30 days to confirm, the third time they were no longer willing to help due to HIPPA regulations?

Poor experience

Preface: I have documented the entire interaction via video/audio for accuracy and transparency. If they try to deny this happened. I’ll happily share the recordings.

Upon visiting the CareNow Urgent Care facility on Blue Diamond in Las Vegas with my wife, I stepped outside briefly after her admission. When I returned, I inquired with the receptionist about joining my wife in her room. The receptionist informed me that only patients are allowed beyond the reception area and did not offer further clarification or documentation regarding this policy.

Seeking to understand, I requested to see the policy in writing. The receptionist mentioned that the manager, Sydney, would be available to explain the policy to me. After a short wait, I asked for the director’s contact information, to which the receptionist suggested that the manager would be available to assist me more promptly.

The manager approached me shortly thereafter, and I expressed my wish to be with my wife. She explained that patients must request the presence of their spouses themselves, a stipulation that had not been mentioned by the receptionist. This new piece of information seemed to contradict the initial impression that no visitors were allowed under any circumstances.

I questioned whether my wife had been given the opportunity to make such a request, to which the manager deflected by saying she perceives a tone of hostility from me and that I need to calm down. I assured her that my demeanor was calm and respectful, as is my nature.

I wish to express my concern over this characterization. At no point during our conversation did I raise my voice or behave aggressively. My approach was one of quiet persistence and politeness, qualities that are intrinsic to my character.

Despite my repeated requests for the director’s contact information, the manager felt it was unnecessary, assuring me that she could address the situation. I asked a follow up question. I asked if she was refusing to give me the director's phone number. She said she doesn’t see a need for that. I asked once more and she said I don’t provide information if it’s a situation I can deal with. The manager then said my wife is about finished and she'll be coming out anyway. Sydney expressed her concern about me recording the conversation. I asked if recording was against the companies policy and she responded by articulating her disdain for being recorded. She didn't address my question about company policies for recording. I looked around the office for any signs or documents that would elaborate on recording policies. Non were visible . My wife came out during this conversation and I concluded the conversation with a respectful expression of intent to pursue other avenues for information and extended my well wishes for the day.

I reiterated my request for the director’s contact information, but the manager felt it was unnecessary, stating she could handle the situation. When I inquired about the recording policy, there was no response. I respectfully stated my intention to obtain the information through other means and wished them a pleasant day.

It is disheartening to reflect on the suggestion of hostility in my behavior when such was not the case. The subsequent arrival of the police shortly after my departure seemed an unfortunate coincidence. To ensure clarity on whether a call was made to law enforcement, I am contemplating a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Customer service dropped

This use to be a great location for excellent customer service. They ran the center professionally and I always recommend l. Todays visit was well below par. Office staff was unfriendly, web checkin process was ignored. I do not recommend!

CareNow online registration requires…

CareNow online registration requires that one upload a picture of their drivers license, front and back of health insurance card, AND keep a credit card on file. I declined to upload my credit card and completed my registration process. When I went in-person to be seen, the receptionist at check-in looked at my health insurance and told me it would be a $25 co-pay. As I was about to pay with a credit card she told me that I did not have a credit card on file. I told the receptionist I deliberately opted not to keep a credit card on file. In turn, she then informed me that CareNow would not be able to provide me with service. I asked to speak to a manager because refusing to keep a credit card on file and being denied service (with health insurance mind you) sounded highly unethical. The receptionist said that the manager was out and said that she sent her a text message and I would let me speak to her as soon as she responded. I waited patiently in the waiting room; and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, the receptionist called me up to the front and showed me a copy of an updated CareNow policy that states that if a patient declines to upload a credit card on file they then would have to pay $180 up front. Talk about unethical! At that point I refused to even wait for a manager and went elsewhere. These Urgent Care facilities want your money and also want you to trust that they will safeguard your data appropriately. My advice to anyone reading this is not to go to this Urgent Care facility. They only have monetary interests in mind.

I walked in with an Absence tooth on a saturday. The gave me an antibiotic Doctor Sheba. However, they let me walk out of their suffering and excruciating pain and Wanted to give me Ibprofren. Don't go there if you're suffering.
All they care about is their own reasons, not yours?

NO HELP

This facility is on Hwy 75S. Don't go unless you're near death. The receptionist was kind enough. First of all, do you really think I or anybody would go to this place if they weren't feeling bad? I was given no prescription whatsoever and walked out of there feeling the same or worse. All the Dr could say is if you get worse come back. Really Miss? So I paid my co-pay for me to feel the same bad as when I came in? All I wanted was to feel better to get through the week. Wow. What a ripoff. I will not be back.

NO STARS

DO NOT GO TO THIS URGENT CARE-ESPECIALLY THE ONE LOCATED ON TRIPICANA AND JONES. I took my 1 year old daughter here because this location is open 24 hours and after her having a fever off and on all night I needed to get her seen ASAP. At 6am I made an online check-in appointment. I never received a text so I went in after an hour. The check-in staff were cold and short. After waiting another hour I ask how much longer it would be and the check-in girl did not seem to like that I persisted on her going to find out. The MA who called us back called my daughter’s name and instead of saying, hello, how are you-the first thing that comes out her mouth is, only one parent can go back. I took my daughter from my husband and followed. Again was welcomed with cold and short words. She didn’t even seem to care about my daughter. I spoke to the office manager, but I don’t think she really cared. At this point I was heated and demanded my husband be with us in the room. I may have acted out but it was brought on from being up all night with my daughter and from the staff having no compassion and being so rude. The CareNow staff needs training on customer service and on good communication skills in the work place. So disappointed, being at the clinic should have been about my sick daughter but instead was about how bad the staff treated my daughter and I.

Care Now (South Garland) advertises…

Care Now (South Garland) advertises that you can check in online and wait from the comfort of your own home instead of their waiting room. Then you are to receive a call to come in when it’s your turn. So, I did just that. After checking in online, I received a call from Care Now asking about my 7 year old’s reason for being seen. I explained that she was running a fever, needed to be tested for strep and COVID due to symptoms. The attendant called me back a few minutes later and said to come in. I sat in the waiting room holding my sick child in my arms for an hour and a half before we decided to leave. This is absolutely ridiculous that they do this to people!!!!! They don’t care. They didn’t even bother to come out and say sorry that it’s taking so long. There is a much better process that can work if they just used some common sense. These employees should be trained on how long the patients ahead of them will take before calling sick patients in to just sit in their waiting room!
