They refused to provide a loan for a CPO 3 year old car, no reason, just that they wouldn't do it.
I called and inquired and the woman just continuted to repeat the same thing over and over, which didn't answer any of my questions.
Stupid customer service lost you business. Great job.

It's a scam. Searched the internet for best banks to refinance an auto loan with. CarPutty came up. Filled out the application and received a text and phone call a few days later stating I was approved. Went online to carputty site to see the rate and possibly refinance my auto loan. Website gave approved me for a loan but only to purchase a new car not refinance. Called customer service for assistance and was greeted with a very rude individual stating I did not read their terms correctly. Hopefully this inquiry will not affect my credit.

"Get a line of credit in minutes". That's what the email message said.

I submitted an application 6 days ago and have had zero communication from this business. I have made three separate inquiries for a status update and an estimated time to completion. The response is a clearly contrived message stating "due to a high volume of applications, we are currently experiencing longer than normal processing times. There is no ETA that we can provide you with at this moment"

I'm thinking that If they were truly that deluged with new applicants they would go hire a massive amount of additional people to process those applications so they could profit from your interest payments.

The lack of transparency and communication from this business should give you pause. I had a decision back from my bank in 15 minutes, while these guys are going on 7 days with no end in sight.

Conceptually, the business idea is sound. However, I'm not sure how this business plans to compete with big finance if they can't deliver on the basics.

Is it mismanagement, incompetence, and /or a general lack of caring? You decide. If you're looking for a fast decision don't look here.

I have missed out on 2 great deals for a used car waiting on Carputty to process my loan application. It has been over a week and they can't give me an answer. I am moving on to a more legit company that actually wants to do business. I have a great credit score and the only reason I chose to start an application with Carputty was because it had such a high rating on Bankrate. I don't understand how it can have such a high rating with such poor customer service and delays in processing.

Was doing a refinance request based on date from bankrate. They showed 4.66% as lowest rate if qualified. So I did the supposed soft pull, no beacon damage, to find they offered me 8.16% with a 823 beacon score. Anything over 740, especially 760 is best rate for any lending institute. To be 800 plus and that advertised rate from 4.66 to 8.16 is deceitful, and hopefully does not do an impact on my beacon score. For those reading, call directly, don't do these online bait games, its never what you see posted.

Carputty is a joke. I wouldn't steer clear of them. Luckily it won't cost you anything but time if you do try to get your car loan through them.

As other reviews have stated, when it comes times to actually fund your loan (to the dealership/etc), they will tell you that they are experiencing higher than usual volume, and that they have no ETA on when they will get to your loan, and that they've prioritized business accounts over personal loans. I asked if that meant a week/month/year on the ETA, the customer service agent couldn't give me an answer.

So after a few days waiting to be able to drive my car off the dealership lot because of Carputty's incompetence, I went with a legit bank/credit union and was done in an hour with their process.

STAY AWAY FROM CARPUTTY!

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Carputty that I feel compelled to share to warn others. After being informed that my deal was delayed due to an influx of volume, I was later notified that Carputty is now prioritizing business lending over individual customers. This shift in focus was not communicated to me or other existing customers, leaving us in the dark and waiting indefinitely for our transactions to be processed.

Carputty's lack of transparency and communication is unacceptable. They allowed me to believe that my recent purchase would be processed any day, but instead, I was left hanging in limbo. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and has eroded my trust in their services. I urge potential customers to be cautious and consider this lack of customer care before engaging with Carputty. This company obviously has limited values and does not appreciate current customers. Think long and hard about dealing with a lender that is uncommunicative and dishonest. They wouldn't tolerate that from a borrower, yet they engage in that behavior themselves.

Notice there are no reviews past May of last year. This is because Carputty is not financing new car purchases. Sure, they'll run a hard credit check and offer you a credit line, but the line is worthless. You cannot use it. It's been almost 3 months and they cannot tell me when I may be able to use the line I've been approved for. I'm guessing I won't ever be able to use it and we'll be reading about the company going under soon. I think it's obvious they've used up their cache of VCs and do not have funding. Don't waste your time.

Using Carputty was the best option for me to purchase my leased Acura MDX. The process was a breeze and the team working to secure my vehicle kept me from having deal with the dealership and it outrageous fees to purchase a vehicle that I already had in my possession. Carputty is the only way to go in my opinion if you are planning on purchasing your lease vehicle!!!

This is an affordable option to refinance your car loans; however, it's an immature product; to give you the best rate they require that you connect your bank account; the authorization you give them draws the monthly payments from your account. However, the latest draw from my account took DOUBLE the fees (which was over $2K). This made my account overdrawn, and made other automated payments FAIL. When I complained about it, they researched it and finally refunded the duplicate charge; however, this took WEEKS. They sent a $50 gift card, which is NO way made up for the difficulty their system actually caused me. It has been several months since they have been handling my account and I'm still waiting on the title transfer; my registration is about to expire but... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great communication. Easy to work with. Slight adjustment needed because the value of the car wasn’t calculating properly, but they worked on it swiftly.

If I could say anything needs to be changed, Maybe an approval letter of some sort. The dealer was skeptical because it’s a new company. I was trying to buy on the weekend when Carputty was closed. so I had to wait until The following week to get the car, which was a bummer. But overall it was easy and sweat less with a great interest rate!

Very easy, and quick! From start to finish, it moved a long swiftly. I bought out a lease, and they did everything. I never had to do much of anything except upload the documents they requested. Great rate too! Highly recommend it.
