Not worth having carters account open

Hello, I am a good customer no matter what company I deal with. But the greatest thing I ever did is just paid carters in full today June 8th. And closed my account. They have the highest APY late charge ever and that will hurt your you financially and emotionally. And this don’t matter if it’s a pandemic or not. They didn’t even offer me a payment plan. I paid more in late charges than spending my credit. They should do better giving more warnings of your due date. Even a automatic call would have been good. By the way you can find there product in other stores in Buffalo Newyork for a decent price. But I really suggest if you have an account close it why you are still breathing. Cause if you don’t they will find some way to make more profit and revenue off you as a customer. The feeling after you feel from closing the account is so amazing a stress relief. For your future financially and emotionally

Liars, Harassers and Thieves

Liars. Harassers. Thieves. No customer service. Stay away from Carter's. They use cheap, thin material to make over-priced clothes that have manufacturing defects; from holes in the material to open stitches, their quality is subpar which is not reflected in their increasing prices. Anything labeled 'Osh is actually 2 sizes smaller than the size stated on the tag and their management thinks it's perfectly okay to mislead customers into purchasing mislabeled clothing.

Beware: if you create an account with Carters they will ask you for a contact number and personal information to use in their reward program. Sounds nice, right? Well, what they don't tell you is customer service can use this contact number to call and harass you at any time. Shocking? It should be as this was the first company to harass me and I faithfully patronized them until last year. True story.

If you return an item, do NOT accept a gift card for the store. Make Carter's reimburse how the purchase was made. Why? I'm glad you asked. If you return an item for any reason and they put it on a gift card, then they don't reimburse the tax that was paid. Clever trick on their part to steal money from hard-working people.

Do NOT call or email Carter's to complain about their manufacturing defective clothing because they will ignore you. Know that it is nothing personal. They also ignore customer emails, Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, UPS claims and news inquiries. I've yet to see if they respond to public reviews but it'll be known soon enough.

Here's my abbreviated 3 year story if you're so inclined to read to see how a 7 year loyal Carter's customer is taking their business elsewhere.

Carter's refused to accept returns on manufacturing defective clothing during covid yet they continued to sell goods. Other companies were accepting returns so why weren't they? A return was finally approved 2 years after first contact. They returned the clothing stating it was past their return policy. Right. If they would have accepted the clothing when initially contacted it would have been within their return policy. The clothing was lost and communications and UPS claims were ignored by Carter's. Instead of sending a check to replace the clothes, they sent an egift certificate that barely covers the cost of replacing the items lost.

Would you patronize a company that treated you like that? I would hope not. There are other manufacturers' of children's clothing that are better quality at reasonable prices. I urge you to find one of those companies.

delivery and communication problems

While products are good quality, delivery service and communication are zero. Their website is showing the wrong status - delivered, while it's not. This is quite common. No apology at all.

Horrible website and CC payment site.

Like their cloths don’t like company. Website has nowhere to get customer service. No phone numbers. I paid my bill on time 3 months in a row then noticed they charged me 37 dollars each month for being late. They actually changed my due date without notifying. I had it set up for the last 8 months and three months ago the tweeked their cc payment site and my due date changed by couple of days. I will not do business with them again. I try to get ahold of them but number I found does not work. I send the cloths to my great granddaughter so was using my Carters card. No more. Beware if your paying on their website as it is very flawed and misleading.
