This company is absolutely terrible. They make an appointment and don't show, then make another appointment and don't show. As of this moment when I write this review they have 98% ONE STAR reviews. What does that tell you?
Same excuse every day
Delivery keeps getting push for tomorrow and tomorrow. Every day I call, I get the told, "It appears that your shipment will be delivered tomorrow, sorry for the inconvenience, but the warehouse is low on personnel".
My first shipment is 8 days late and my second shipment was delivered before the first shipment, but incomplete. Somehow part of the shipment was left behind at the warehouse in Denver Colorado.
I'll never use Central Transport LLC ever again.

The worst transportation company in the world. I highly recommend not making any appointment with this company. They try to make me sick, waiting for them to pick up my items. They gave me too many excuses every single day for two weeks

My shipment was supposed to be delivered on Monday. It is Wednesday and it is still not here. They said they could not deliver today because they have to switch to a smaller truck. I don't even know if they really tried to deliver today. I cannot trust them anymore. Look at all these bad reviews. I don't know if I will ever get my shipment.

Twice in a row I was scammed by Central Transport. They provided low quotes through third party logistics providers and then "reclassified" the shipment and charged a substantially higher price.

What can i say besides the fact that they are thiefs and liars. I sell engines and transmissions and ship about 15 items a day i started using them for about a week booking through a reputtable third party company i saw that they had good rates at first but when the incoices started coming thats when i realized how bad this company is. Don't believe any of their quotes. They will lie about how much your item weighs and charge you 3-400% of what the quote actually is. Nothing but theifs in this company they will break your costumers valuables none of their trackings work. basically just thiefs.

Avoid this company at ALL costs! We used a broker who said that they are not a preferred carrier but still assigned the load to them anyway. Order was put on truck on 4/26/23. Their system shows picked up from terminal on 5/3/23. Then didn't hear anything so called today 5/8/23 and they said it's being picked up today. We had dealt with them back in 2014-2015 and had the same issues, just failed to tell the broker this time to not use them at all costs.

I special ordered a Cub Cadet Zero turn mower from Home Depot on April 8, 2023 and received it from the factory in Tennessee two days earlier than promised on April 17, 2023. The driver even brought the crate most of the way up my 400 ft driveway that they're only required to leave curbside. I am very happy with Central Transport especially in light of so many negative reviews.

So exhausted dealing with them... I currently have four, going on five, ICR's in process because they keep reweighing our product at the terminal INCORRECTLY. We have two scales here, recently calibrated, that weigh correctly yet somehow they keep reweighing at 60... 100lbs... here and there, just randomly. We provide pictures of our weights for proof, they claim their certificates are legitimate documents but the math never adds up. For example, if you have a case that weighs 25 lbs, and you are shipping 10 cases, your product is 250lbs. Let's add 25-30lbs for a standard wooden pallet to send around 280-285lbs. So why do they tell me they reweigh at 345lbs? Where, where did the extra weight come from? All they say is whatever their scales weigh is what the bill is, and that's that. I don't know what to do anymore, they aren't trying to help us at all. What do we do?? They are screwing us and our own customers.

These guys are crooks!! They were about $50 cheaper than the next option so I used them like an idiot. Actually got here quickly, I unloaded with my forklift, the driver took off without letting me get out. When I unwrapped the pallets obviously one had been tipped over and a $500 item destroyed, the plastic it was wrapped in was stuck inside under a wheel so obviously done after shipped. A couple days later they added a couple hundred because they say my weight was wrong, whatever. but then the next week I get an email that they're adding almost $400 more, $85 for residential, not true, $187 for liftgate and $75 for unloading labor, it was delivered in a semi that didn't even have a liftgate! I unloaded both pallets quickly in their time frame and they're trying to charge an absolutely ridiculous amount saying they did it. Then on top of all of that $35 inspection fee when he just ran!! Any other company would charge $40 for residential and $40 for liftgate if they were used. This company is a joke and are absolute crooks, How are they in business??

This is the third time in 2 years a shipper has used Central Transport to ship items to me. I live near Columbia SC, so my comment applies, for the most part, to the Columbia terminal. The item arrived to thier terminal a week ago! I have been calling the provided number to arrange delivery (appointment) as requested:the number is in Michigan. I've called everyday, except weeked, and get the exact same result everytime. The person asks the shipping number, verifies the arrival and delivery address, attempts to call the terminal and gets no answer. They then tell me they have sent an email to the terminal and the regional director and I will get a callback TODAY. The results are the same....NOTHING! They will not give me a direct number to call the terminal. So, I sit with a work stoppage awaiting the shipment. Anyone seeing this: Please tell your shippers to NOT use Central Transport. Certainly Not the Columbia SC terminal!

Horrible service and support
Not sure why my supplier keeps using this horrible transport service. I reached out to them about a shipment and they said I needed to provide a BOL since they can't bill correctly...not sure why it's my problem when I'm the recipient and they need to reach out to shipper. They've held my freight for a few days and didn't reach out to me so I emailed again...they said they needed a PDF now...their customer support is crap and I'm finding out about the issues when they should be following up with the customer. Avoid at all cost!!

Incorrectly billed by doubling the total pallet weight 2 years ago and in June of '22 they damaged a box and denied claim saying there's no damage. We lost $160 worth of product because of them. The supplier had placed the boxes more than 6 inches inside the edge of the pallet and still they managed to damage it. Not reliable and frankly - one dishonest company.
Don't use Central Transport!
Whatever you do, don't trust your goods with Central Transport, that is unless you want it delayed or worse, destroyed. I shipped an original, one-of-a-kind handmaid oak fireplace mantel with surround using CT and it arrived a week late in approximately 15 pieces. They not only managed to break it up but also leave a huge gouge in the top of the mantel, which I suppose came from the forklift. The driver didn't know what he was delivering because it was damaged beyond recognition. It appeared the forklift operator(s) took great pride in turning my mantel into sticks. I received a call from the local CT manager who wanted to "inform" me that the mantel was coming and also wanted to know what it was worth since he knew I was going to be submitting a damage claim. I'd post pictures if trust pilot would allow. Disgusting. Never again use this company.

BAD INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE
I had an interview today between 10am-2pm. Travel 35 mins out my time, with high price gas to be there. Soon as I got there, open the door, I told this young white male I was looking for "C" don't want to say full name. I have an interview this morning. He then told me, "Oh, well we just hire someone, sorry." Really. Very unprofessional. First, I got the impression I'm a young black female CDL Holder, feel discriminated against from the jump because he didn't introduce himself, nor spoke to me about the position. I've sent email to "C" no response or clarification on why I haven't receive a response that they find another candidate like any other employers. Wasted my time, never applying with them again.
They just don't do their jobs
I have tried ordering a shower from a major home improvement company. All shipped with Central States.
The first was lost, the second had a forklift ran through it, and the third has had its delivery date extended 6 times. The drivers don't call, or even knock, just drop it and run. This is the absolutely worst freight company I have ever dealt with in the last 40 years.
Worst Experience
I would not recommend this company. We had a delivery that was supposed to arrive on a liftgate truck. This did not happen so we had to unload each piece separately. Then when we returned these items, we had to locate a pallet since the one from the delivery was still on the truck. We also ordered liftgate for pick up as we do not have a loading dock. Again, this did not happen so they had to reschedule the pickup. It then took 4 days beyond the estimated delivery date (over a week from Phoenix to North Las Vegas) and one of the items arrived damaged. Then we tried to book a shipment from SLC to PHX and they kept going to the wrong place 4 different times, but never called the contact person listed for the pick up. After so much wasted time on the phone, I finally cancelled and found someone thru u-Ship to pick up the shipment.
POOR DELIVERY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
Have had issues with damaged parts delivered several times in the past. We usually get the insurance and they compensate most of the amount when claimed. This time we opted out of insurance and parts arrived damaged and in a container not originally shipped in. When opened it looked like parts spilled out all over a parking lot, sat in the rain then later scooped up a thrown in this container. There were wood pieces, lug nuts, gravel and mud mixed in with the damaged parts. Our customer needed a minimum quantity of these parts ASAP so we sorted them then determined how many were bad and the monetary amount to claim. The claim was denied as it was not filed within their 5 day timeframe from delivery date. The sorting alone took 5 business days alone. Just this occurrence alone costed us just over $5,000. We as a multifacility business have removed Central Transport as a vendor as we have determined the consistency of their poor delivery practices, our lost time and our monetary losses are unacceptable.
I would recommend using a different carrier at all costs!
