Emma is a ray of cheese sunshine.

Her knowledge is so extensive and her tasting classes made cheese even more accessible, fun, and digestible (literally, with perfect wine pairings and gluten free crackers).

I was lucky enough to attend one of her cheese and wine tasting sessions at Boundary in Shoreditch. The atmosphere was so warm - a credit to Emma as a host.

After realising how little I knew about cheese, I came away with a list of deliciousness for my local cheesemongers . Hello truffle brie!

(Emma’s book - The Cheese Wheel - is also beautiful. You know it’s a good book when the pages feel and smell lush!)

What a brilliant night! I never realised I had so many questions about cheese! Impressively all answered by Emma. Emma was great, she was funny, friendly and incredibly well informed. The cheese was absolutely delicious and I would feel more confident in knowing what to order in a cheese shop now, having previously found it a bit intimidating! Loved the set up of an intimate group around one table so you could chat with anyone, the hardest part was trying not to eat the cheese before we were supposed to!

Attended Emma’s cheese and wine talk at the Bath & West Showground this weekend. Really informative but made tasting and pairing seem very accessible for everyone. Some really delicious parings that I wouldn’t have thought of (despite 20 years working in cheese!). A thoroughly enjoyable hour, I hope to catch a longer event soon.

I had never been to an official cheese tasting before and the evening with Emma was a perfect introduction to the finer details of the cheese world!

Emma is down to earth, funny, friendly and extremely knowledgeable - she patiently answered all of our many, many, many questions which ranged from nuanced to extremely basic (mine!). I had no idea that I would find the cheese making process so interesting but by the end of the night I found myself wishing that it was my job to live at the top of a remote mountain with special cows that create one of the delicious and complex cheeses that we got to try.
Emma has years of experience across all avenues of cheese making and tasting, including writing a book that helps us less-than-experts pick out delicious cheese.

The venue was lovely with delicious wine, an inviting atmosphere and a lovely rooftop garden that we visited afterwards.

I arranged a private cheese and wine tasting for a few friends with Emma at my house after seeing her talents at her book event at my daughter’s school. She was friendly and accommodating right from the moment I reached out to her to arrange this event. She was very organised with the planning and setting up of the event and the evening itself was great. She is very knowledgeable and down to earth. We all had a great time and highly recommend!

Traveled from the US for a cheese class with Emma Young & Patrick McGuigan and it was worth the trip. Lots of information, fun class and wonderful teachers. Highly recommend!

Emma did a 1:1 tour for us at Borough Market. What she did so brilliantly was that one member had more knowledge than the other but she was able to take that into consideration and deliver an unbrievable experience!

We learnt about textures, smell, washed methods, waxed methods and most importantly to learn what flavours to look out for that work for our pallets!

It was a magical day and I kept truffling around london in heavinly cheesy gooey mood!

I went to an awesome talk by Emma where she gave us an insight into what went into her brilliant book The Cheese Wheel. She is super engaging, funny and knowledgeable. The evening ended with the most delicious cheese tasting.

Emma always makes you feel welcome at any event that she runs. Emma selects the best selection of cheeses and always inspires me to learn more. Emma’s teachings are never confusing and she will answer any question in a humble manner which is always appreciated amongst cheese enthusiasts!

This was such a cool night. Something I’d never thought of doing before but was introduced to through friends and is a perfect gift or alternative night out for any cheese lover. Emma is a great host - warm, friendly, engaging, fun and so informative. If you want to learn all there is to know about cheese, drink good wine and sample fromage delights then this is for you.

I attended Emma's event at the Shortlands Tavern. She kept us all fully engaged with her outstanding knowledge of cheese, cheese makers and all processes involved. The whole evening was delivered beautifully with relatable stories, humour and delicious tastings. Highly recommend.
