Not great
As a first time buyer I thought I would use a mortgage broker for ease. How wrong was I?! My partner has had bad credit in the past so we were told ONLY a specialised lender will take us on. We were made to feel like criminals and low-lives for a mistake my partner has made 6 years ago that does not reflect his current financial situation, but still lingers on his credit file. Anyway, we went ahead hoping that Choice would find us someone good, they offered a company with 2 starts rating! No thanks! They also started asking quite personal questions which I don't believe are relevant. Questions such as "why did you leave your last job" or "how did you support yourself during your job searching period" are not relevant whether I can re-pay a mortgage. I have a stable job, my partner has a stable managerial job, we have no unsettled bad credit, we have a good deposit - what more do you want?!
Paul, who was our adviser, was quite frankly rude and dismissive most of the time, treating us like scum for no apparent reason.
I am certain their Google reviews are fake because they are all 5 starts! No company has a perfect 5-star rating nowadays! When I tried leaving a review, they challenged it and Google deleted it without giving me the option to respond.
