Excellent support,encouragement and structure. My daughter has thrived with switch to CHS Online from mainstream school.

My daughter has been studying at CHS Online since September 2025, and our experience has been excellent. She is 11 years old, and we are very happy with the academic level and the overall school environment. Classes are small (around 10 students), which allows for strong teacher attention and active participation.
This format gives children more time for music, sports, and personal interests. It is also very convenient for families like ours who travel and live in different cities.

Communication with the school leadership is always pleasant and efficient — any question is usually resolved within a day. The overall atmosphere is very positive, and my daughter always looks forward to her lessons.

Overall, we believe this is a wonderful school and a fantastic model of modern education.

Our son is in Year 10 and has been in the school for one full term (since last September). His experience with the school has been very positive and he is doing very well academically so far. The online format, small class sizes and the focus on disciplined and structured learning are of great benefit to him and we believe he has grown in confidence as a result. Also, he has been suffering from some minor health issues over the last couple of months, so online schooling has allowed him to continue with his education with minimal disruption, which we are very grateful for. The teachers are all very kind and responsive to the students and to parents, and the school management has been open and responsive when we have given feedback.

Our Year 1 son has just completed his first year at Cambridge Home School, and we couldn’t be prouder. We were initially unsure how he’d settle into online learning at such a young age, but those concerns disappeared almost immediately. He is thriving for his age in every aspect - learning to read confidently and developing skills beyond what we expected.
The school has created a structured timetable perfectly suited to his age and confidence, gradually building up to focused sessions while keeping him engaged. The balance of teacher-led lessons, small group work, independent activities, and plenty of breaks is just right. For a boy who never sits still, he absolutely will for his classes!
Between core subjects, he enjoys yoga, art, science, and music—so it’s far more varied than simply sitting in front of a screen. The flexible schedule means he still has time each afternoon for clubs and other activities, creating a beautifully balanced routine.
Communication is outstanding. We always know exactly how he’s progressing thanks to detailed reports and regular updates. He’s made real friendships, even meeting classmates at a Spring gathering in Cambridge, and has built warm relationships with teachers who genuinely care. If you’re hesitating about online schooling, don’t. This has been the best possible start for our son - he is thriving, happy, and excited to learn every single day.

We are so grateful to the school and the wonderful dedicated teachers and staff for the commitment and support they provide. Our son joined for the final year 11 and they went over and above to help with syllabus alignment , additional tuition and flexibility. The teaching focus and format is outstanding. This school is so much more than we could have hoped for. Both of our girls have settled in so seamlessly. The academic performance has improved in just the first 6months, unbelievable. I have two sons enrolled at CHS. Both are studying for their iGCSE English Language and English Literature. If your child has a love of reading and a real aptitude for creative writing, then I highly commend Mrs J Howard as a superb teacher in these subjects. She is so passionate about teaching English. Her lessons are always engaging, supportive, creative, and tailored to the needs of the students in the class. The benefit of such small classes of six or eight students means that Mrs Howard has the ability to give extremely detailed, in depth and focused feedback on all aspects of key English skills, such as discussion, summarising, creative writing and directed writing. Her style of teaching has guided my two boys through honing their written skills with phenomenal results. My eldest has gone from being terrified at the prospect of the upcoming iGCSEs this year, to feeling comparatively calm and confident. Mrs Howard truly is an absolute asset to CHS and will nurture your child's love of the written language.

Some parents may hesitate about home schooling but it has been a transforming experience for my daughter that has enabled her to move from achieving very average to mediocre grades in a series of supposedly good traditional schools to A* performance with CHS.

The school regenerates the pleasure of learning, motivating student, giving them the respectful attention they need & so often dearly lack in traditional school environments that are becoming more & more toxic.

The French teacher is a gem, the Spanish & Art teachers extremely good with a extremely solution oriented Deputy Head who really has the best interest of students at heart.

Highly recommend this option to parents whose children may have struggled in traditional schooling - your child is not the problem it is some of the schools we are sending them to that are & I could list many public schools but won't.

Our daughter has been in the Prep school for almost 2 terms and is now fully immersed in the Cambridge Home School environment.
We have found the quality of teaching to be excellent. The small classes and high standard of teaching create an environment where individual attention is given to each child whilst still allowing the children to interact and engage together. The classes are challenging but with the appropriate level of assistance - whether that is additional help on topics, or even more challenging assignments.
The first school report demonstrated the very level of understanding that the class teacher had of our daughters educational strengths and weaknesses and we have noticed how these are addressed in subsequent lessons.
As with many parents we were concerned with the interaction with other children through on on-line school. The school makes great efforts to provide an environment where engagement between children is encouraged and facilitated. Our daughter loves the after-school clubs and has engaged with other children in many different year groups. The school also encourages children to take part in out of school activities near them and highlights the importance of these activities. The shorter school hours has meant she can do many more of these activities.
One element of school that we had not fully appreciated was the degree to which our daughters technology skills would grow as a consequence of the on-line environment. In very short time she has become very proficient in multiple computer programmes and applications and uses these regularly both in school assignments and communicating with her new school friends.
Finally and most importantly our daughter loves the school. She enjoys the lessons, the after-school activities and the opportunities to meet and make new friends in different countries and with different cultures.

What an amazing school! The teaching quality is second to none. They are supportive, patient and always encourage in every situation. The standard of education is probably one of the highest we have come across. I would highly recommend this school!!

Our daughter has been learning with CHS online for three weeks now and she is thriving! Small classes and surrounded by lovely peers who want to learn and exceptional teachers who really know their subjects, we know we have made the right decision. We researched for some time and whilst there is several others who offer online education (most since Covid) CHS has been established since 2002 and offer an amazing unrivalled platform, coupled to this their results speak volumes. I think there is 20+ after school clubs, which is amazing and offers something for everyone. If you want a first class tailored education for your child, in a environment that will help them be the best version of themselves that they can be get in touch with CHS.

I joined CHS in year 9, and I'll admit, it wasn't easy adjusting to online schooling but the atmosphere was very welcoming which made me continue online. The teachers are very supportive and care about your wellbeing a lot. I would highly recommend 😊

Our son has been studying with CHS for 5 years now, and our experience has been wholly positive. Our son struggled with attending a physical school for various reasons, so we thought we would try something different.
Right from the start we saw a real positive change in our son. Without exception the teachers have been excellent. Lessons are fun and engaging and the nature of online teaching allows students to fully focus on what they are studying, without the distractions our son experienced in a physical classroom. Class sizes are perfect, allowing both students and teachers to engage and interact with each other in a productive way. All the lessons are recorded which means that even if a student is absent for whatever reason, the lesson can be watched at a later date. This is also proving valuable for our son's revision.
Another huge plus for CHS is the sense of community the school has engendered, particularly over the last few years. Our son really feels a part of something and this continues outside of normal class times. There is a huge choice of extra-curricular clubs, and the school organises guest speakers every week on a variety of subjects.
We really can't recommend CHS highly enough. We have always felt that with CHS their students' welfare is always uppermost in their mind, something we didn't feel when we considered other online schools.
Our son is proud to be a part of the CHS family and as parents, so are we. Thank you CHS.

Cambridge Homeschool is a fantastic online school for children and teenagers. The curriculum is great with fantastic teachers teaching students many subjects and about life. This is a fantastic school, I really recommend this school for online learning.

CHS is a superb school that provides excellent education. The classrooms are very small so all students have the opportunity to ask questions and consolidate their knowledge. The teachers are all exceptional and foster a good atmosphere in every lesson. I have learned a lot from my time at CHS, and would definitely recommend it!

We were naturally apprehensive about moving our son from 'traditional' schooling into the world of home/online education, but we have been delighted with the experience this first year and our son loves it.

CHS definitely aims to get the best out of its pupils and the teaching staff set a terrific example for all to follow, with everyone being incredibly positive and encouraging of all the right behaviours; cultivating an environment where pupils are motivated to participate and give their best for all the right reasons.

The standard of education has been excellent and the additional online learning tools help to support the online classroom sessions well. The afternoon clubs also really help with the social aspect too and overall, our son has never been more engaged or happy with his education, and he is excelling. The ability to view recordings of the classroom sessions is also a real bonus, for transparency and to allow parents to be more engaged in what their children are learning, plus the occasional entertainment factor, as kids really do say the funniest things sometimes!

CHS also provide a strong sense of community which brings students, teachers and parents together in various ways:- for example, through assemblies, a brilliantly put-together student magazine showcasing some of the incredible work from some of the exceptionally smart kids who attend, the careers week where parents volunteered to give a presentation each day about their own work lives, encouragement to meet with others in person who may live nearby, plus other things like house competitions, etc.

It's been a game-changer and we can't recommend CHS enough.

As our family is living between two different countries, Cambridge Home School turned into the most perfect choice for our daughter to gain good quality education. Lessons in CHS not only bring useful knowledge, but are also entertaining and fascinating. School created an environment where every child can show their individuality and be creative.
