A healthy manageable fun yet reliable sport way for transportation, and having fun.
50s&60s age me quite gracefully! A kid to my late teens.I rode a pretty nice 26" Girls bike made by Schwinn, not sure if I spelled it right. When I was seven or eight, my dad surprised me with a special christmas gift. My first grown up like bike. It was emerald green with shining chrome rims and spokes, etc, and garnished with a battery lite mounted in place on my handle bars, a ringer bell, and small hand pump horn. The grace of it all , was the pretty streamers attached to the handle bars, made it special for me. I really went into my little girl 'time zone'. Imagining going off to 'see' the world. Which at that time meant a few blocks away from home and back. Todays market has so many styles and brands that if I had to choose for myself. I could't. My sons rode the awesome, "Huffy" bikes, which at the time I thought cost a fortune. But it was worth it, to see them happy!
