I have taken the Clear tax Luxe plan, and it was an utter disappointment.

It is a scam of a product which promises unlimited CA access. with 4-5 times the charge of any expert CAs consultation (to give inexperienced CA advice)

1. They promise unlimited access, but there is no way to directly contact the CAs. (No direct number/timings are expected in any premium service). There is a built-in friction to maximise the difficulty in reaching a CA. We have to go via a relationship manager -> CA. The relationship manager and CA keep changing. Why should anyone pay for a luxe service when there is no stickiness of the context ??

2. The way to reach the relationship manager is not straightforward. If I have to go via customer service, why should I pay a premium? Any alternate service gives much more access. They put ball in put ball in the court as if it is we have to jump these hoops

3. They have novice CAs who are not interested in the consultation, and other than Googleable/ChatGPT information, you will not get any extra insight. CAs are pretty upset when we try to connect with them.

This was a product they launched with the aim of minimising time spent/Value delivered ratio without having a good pool of Consultants available. Stay away and find direct CAs/other established services instead of using such scam products

Since there is no option for 0 star hence one star is given to them, they have become money minded as they have grown, recently they have closed the further license and are forcing either to get refund or to migrate to their sister concerns, if this was to be done they must have given full subscription refund or they should allowed us to enjoy till date our subscription was meant, really pathetic....

Big time online frauds. Paid 4100 for self filing and completed all the required things including paying tax and uploading challan on their website.
Checked a few days later to find that the process wasnt complete due to a technical error. They hadnt even bothered to message or inform me. Ended up paying 5k late fee and interest due to late payment .
The worst part was the so called customer service wouldnt pick the phone and i only got a call back after threatening to make a consumer complaint

I would have rated them zero if possible. They were unavailable the day of the deadline to file my taxes after I paid them. So then I had to file my taxes myself, and asked them for a refund. They then started pretending that they were working on my taxes and had filed them. This is FRAUD. I should never have used them in the first place, and will recommend that no-one use them. They are a dangerous and unscrupulous company, not to be trusted with your financial documents.

Don't go there, they have become THUG! ClearTax claims to provide expert support, but in reality they charge customers a high fee and then assign trainees who completely lack professional communication skills. The CA assigned to me spoke more like a local shopkeeper than a qualified professional.

I paid ₹9,033 for a wrong plan (even though I have no foreign income to declare), and instead of resolving the issue or issuing a refund, my ticket was closed without answers. This shows a serious lack of professionalism and accountability.

ClearTax’s advertisements promise expert guidance, but the service I received was far from it. I would strongly caution new customers against trusting these claims. Dealine is today and they are neither refunding nor assisting.

Its a worst tool, payment collected before the return file complete. Very slow and lot of errors in between.

They have messed something up in my ITR filing. I always get my refund within 60 days of filing, this time around my ITR is still under processing status from Income Tax. There is no error in my filing upon checking on the income tax portal, just under processing for a long duration. ClearTax support person on the call let slip that this delayed processing is happening for a lot of their customers this time, and when I asked what they have done to help the customers who are facing this delay because of ClearTax they said nothing.

I bought their elite plan for assessing and filing my trading income. They filed under ITR2 as capital gains and made me pay 17k unnecessarily in taxes. I did my own due diligence the next day and had to refile under ITR3 to get that 17k back and the 6k i paid for their assistance was a total waste. And it took 20 working days and 40 emails to coordinate with their CA's and support personnel. Please avoid their expert assistance at all costs.

I filed my tax through Amit Mehta and Kajal Kaur. They are thorough, dedicated, very hardworking. My filing was done on a 'Sunday morning at 1 AM- 5 AM, amidst very high workload. They are a promising team, They take time to explain your case individually, yours will not be just a 'filing to be closed quickly', They will go through your case specifically based on your Taxation profile in a customized manner. I would definitely recommend cleartax and this CA firm. Thanks

One of the worst. Please do not go with clear Tax. They are filing Tax by checking the previous filing. I took the Elite package and assigned with so called expert who doesn't know the basic of ITR2. After paying they want me to fill the FORM67, FA details etc.. Waste of money going with Clear Tax. Still my case is not solved, and Export is stopped responding to solve my issue.

I have updated the website with my income details and deduction details , on completing the filing process they came up with an error fix stating that i need to file Form 10 IEA , they asked me to give last years form acknowledgement no. and date , i entered it in the declaration and selected old regime and ITR3, it was not going through completion. then they initiated a chat on 27/8/2025 8pm and the person on support is not fixing the issue neither he is telling what to do, not giving a solution for the last 16 hours, still waiting ... pathetic service they dont know how to solve it it seems ? not proper communication aswell , different different support personnel they come and ask the same old ITR pdf then no answer at all. i lost 750 Rs i think

Worst experience they don't care once you buy their plan. Due to their Portal issue my process stretched to long. Their job is done when you pay fees after that they don't care about anything.

Purchased Elite plan on 12th August for CA assisted plan. Till 25th August 3 CA was changed. No one is experience enough to file tax for foreign income and ESOP/RSU. They are not ready to refund my money.

I have paid for 100 itrs but i got only 20. I raised query many times but they always by pass this matter to one another. No body is taking responsibility.

I had signed up for their premium service and I am struggling to get past document upload step. The service is extremely poor.I am surprised that the service has degraded so quickly to frustrating levels. Despite multiple interactions with their support staff I am just being given the run around.

It is the worst service i have ever found. They take the money... and 2 n 3 weeks they will make you fool that you documnents are not completed. And no body will call for follow up ....so that you know what is going on.

Unfortunately i am feeling helpless with their staff response, inspite of full payment on Month of May 19, their software says license expired, called them 20 times till today, still it is not operational. No responsible person comes on line. I tried to call management, but no numbers are available whether intentionally or otherwise. I doubt, after reading this complaint, whether they will come back to resolve the issue?

I have taken GST filing software for five years on 28th Jan 2022. After that company changed their cost very heavily in 2024. In July 2024 company's representative called me and inform me about the increased in cost. He asked me to either get refund or continue with the software by doing excess payment. I opted for refund. And after many phone calls and conversations they refunded my remaining amount on 07/03/2025 ( 8 to 9 Months later from July 2024) after deducting full three years charges, though I have used the software for 2.5 years. I have stopped using the software as I purchased other one. If I made payment for full five years, then how can company changed cost in between the period? and why the company took 8 to 9 months to refund my money.

I have purchased a plan for ITR filing and the relationship manager is very bad and I suggest them to not to promote if they have no good serving employees.

for the AY 2024-25 I used their website to file IT returns; the website is defective. Charges the money but does not file the returns with IT Department.
Support team is also terrible and pathetic. They dont even understand the basics of income tax returns filing.
Cheats in one word. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE
