Second time using Clement Browne now. Steve managed the survey and fitting efficiently, leaving everything neat and tidy. The shutters are great quality and we'd definitely recommend.

You can book an appointment online through the website which made everything clear from the outset, and Darren delivered a professional and tidy installation. The shutters are excellent quality and have made a real difference to our home.

I would avoid this company at all costs. The shutters fitted failed within the first six months. This included cracking of the veneers, failure of the locks and the Louvres falling out of the frame. The installer revisited the house and confirmed the faults were due to the factory. However the company dragged out the complaint for 8 months. They are now claiming the faults are not covered by the warranty. I am now haloing to escalate to the small claims court. Avoid

I was initially given a guide quote of £2,651.20 for shutters through Clement Browne’s online system and Zoom consultation, which I was happy with and prepared to proceed on that basis.
However, after paying £95 for a measuring appointment, the final quotation increased significantly to £3,777.80 — over 40% higher than the original guide price. While I appreciate that final pricing may vary following an in-person survey, the scale of the increase was unexpected and not adequately explained beforehand. The website states that prices may vary depending on factors such as shutter configuration and tilt mechanism, but this does not sufficiently prepare customers for such a substantial change in cost.

I was also disappointed with the communication throughout the process. I struggled to get through on the telephone to discuss my concerns, which added to the frustration of trying to resolve the issue.

In addition, the £95 measuring fee is retained even if you choose not to proceed. While it is described as deductible from the final balance, I do not believe it was made sufficiently clear at the time of booking that this fee would be non-refundable if the final quotation turned out to be significantly higher than the guide price.

I have attempted to resolve this directly with Clement Browne but remain disappointed with the outcome.

Overall, the lack of pricing transparency, difficulty in communication, and the way the survey fee is handled left me feeling very disappointed with the experience.
