Six Weeks of Excuses, Then a Refund
My experience with CLINTS began on 7 May 2026, when I ordered Camo Needle Punch Militant Pants for approximately £130.
That same day, I received an email saying my order was “on the way” along with a UPS tracking number. Six days later, customer service informed me that the trousers were actually out of stock. This was frustrating, considering I had already been told they had been dispatched.
They explained that a restock was expected on 25 May and offered either a refund or the option to wait. They also added £20 store credit as an apology, so I chose to wait.
I used the credit to purchase a Grey Mesh Contour Crop Top, which arrived promptly. At that point, I assumed the issue with the trousers had been a one-off.
Two weeks later, I was told the restock had been delayed again and would not arrive until 4 June. As I was moving house on 12 June, I emailed customer service on 5 June to explain that I might need to update the delivery address.
I received no response, so I followed up on 9 June. Again, I heard nothing.
The first reply arrived three days after I had moved out. Michelle said changing the address would be fine and that the trousers were due to ship that day. This was confusing, as I had previously been assured they would be dispatched as soon as the restock arrived.
I immediately provided my new address. Two days later, Michelle emailed again to say the trousers would be shipped that day.
The following day, on 18 June, I received this message:
“After the long wait for your order, we will no longer be able to ship the Militant Pant - Camo Needle Punch due to a further stock disruption with this product.”
After six weeks of delays, contradictory updates, ignored emails and repeated assurances that dispatch was imminent, CLINTS ultimately admitted they could not fulfil the order.
I was refunded in full and given a £50 gift card, which I appreciate. However, that does not excuse how poorly the situation was handled.
Stock problems happen, but I cannot understand how a company can mark an order as dispatched when the item is not in stock, repeatedly provide inaccurate updates, ignore time-sensitive emails about an address change and continue promising shipment dates for an order they could not fulfil.
The communication was disorganised, inconsistent and often non-existent. Every update seemed to contradict the last, leaving me with little confidence that anyone knew what stock was available or when orders would actually be fulfilled.
For a brand charging premium prices, this level of service was unacceptable. I spent weeks chasing an order that should never have been marked as dispatched.
Despite my reluctance to shop with CLINTS again, I eventually used the £50 gift card during their end-of-summer sale and placed another order on 10 September 2026. Given my previous experience, I am genuinely curious to see whether it arrives without incident.
The clothing may look great on Instagram, but based on my experience, the customer service and stock management leave a lot to be desired. They need to take a page out of CORTEIZ’s book on how to ship products fast and efficiently.
