Having recently come back from 8 theme parks in 8 days on the Belgium/Germany/Netherlands tour with Coaster Breaks, I cannot recommend booking a tour enough. I booked the tour as a slightly nervous solo traveller and coaster enthusiast who wanted to go away and do something different and experience parks outside the UK for the first time. Put simply, it was the most perfect week, amazing theme parks and rollercoasters, amazing people and such an easy, fun and enjoyable way of accessing theme parks that without Coaster Breaks would have been much more of a challenge to visit.

The tour guide Marcus absolutely made the week, the communication before the tour was brilliant, going above and beyond to resolve some issues that could've meant the tour being cancelled. During the tour he was very personable and got to know everyone, he spent the time to actually guide the group around the parks, doing his best to fit in as many rides as possible and clearly always wanting the best for the group. As well, he was so knowledgeable about the parks and the industry, always sharing fun facts, stories and information. His girlfriend Gabby was also on this tour and she was equally brilliant throughout and a bonus tour guide who helped make the tour so so so good.

When it came to the actual travel and hotels, everything was planned, arranged and booked and made so easy for the group. It takes the stress out of organising a holiday because you pay a reasonable price for the tour, turn up and enjoy yourself, Coaster Breaks sort the rest. The only cost throughout the week was lunch/dinner and any merchandise everything else was covered.

The tour was the PERFECT way to access theme parks, whilst also getting out the UK and meeting like minded people. If you're reading these reviews thinking of booking a tour I cannot recommend it enough, it really was the best week. I will absolutely be booking onto another tour for later this year or next year.

I cannot recommend this service enough! Me and my friends took the Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany tour and we had an absolute blast! I had never been outside the U.S. before, so traveling to European parks was a daunting task, and seemed out of reach. But with Coaster Breaks, I got to experience places I never thought I would ever be able to. Sam was an amazing tour guide as well, incredibly knowledgeable about the parks and rides, and was able to get us on everything that we wanted to and made the trip a smooth and relaxing experience. I must also mention that the price we paid was very reasonable, and the value I got out of this trip is beyond words. If you have any desire to visit parks around Europe, then I would highly recommend Coaster Breaks, they're the way to go!

If you love coasters want to experience the time of your life then I would highly reccomend. Marcus is great and will make sure you get the most out of your trip. I'll be surely booking up again.

Marcus the tour guide will take the stress away of booking tickets, accommodation and transport yourself and with his knowledge of the parks will make sure you get on all the rollercoasters and still leave you with enough time to enjoy other attractions within the parks including water rides, dark rides and flat rides etc

Everyone in our group was a solo traveller but we all got on immediately due to our hobby of rollercoasters and theme parks and would meet in the bar each night for a chat and a few laughs

I will be definitely be booking another trip in the future!

This is the ultimate trip for coaster enthusiast, especially if you have only experienced the usual parks in the UK and want to expand your coaster experience. Travelling to 7 parks in 7 days throughout Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands without the hassle or worry of getting to the parks, where to stay or even what rides to queue for first makes this a super stress-free experience.But let me start at the beginning.

I decided to take the plunge and booked the tour on my own (travelling solo). Marcus gave me a call, answered any of my questions / concerns and took a deposit to secure my place. The balance was due a month before the tour and it was easy to settle the balance when the time came (or beforehand). All arrangements were made via telephone, email and it was super easy to sort out, get booked up and prepared.

The tour starting point was at the Brussels Airport, however, Marcus offers a free lift to the Airport from the UK, being picked up at Ashford International Station on Sunday morning going to France via LeShuttle. A quick text the night before from Marcus confirmed the details, and the group first met at the station and hopped into the Ford Tourneo.
Marcus is very personable and makes sure everyone is introduced to everyone else as it can be awkward meeting new people for the first time. It’s ok we all have theme parks and rollercoasters in common so that makes conversations easy. The Tourneo is spacious no matter where you sat (our tour was full of 6ft+ people) really comfortable ride you just hop on and forget about driving for the rest of the trip.
We stopped at a hotel at Brussels Airport, where a one more member of the tour joined us. We were all in place and ready for the rollercoaster trip of a lifetime.

The tour itself.
Marcus created a WhatsApp group for the tour and added (with permission) everyone who was in the tour. This made communication within the group super easy and sharing of information, photos very easy. The night before he would post two times, a “I’ll be at breakfast time” and a “We need to be at the van time”, so for instance it might be 7.45am breakfast, 8.30am leave.
This is not a holiday for lie-ins, we were there to visit theme parks and ride rollercoasters. Getting to the parks for opening was critical to ensure maximum ride times. Our group was great, everyone managed to get to van in time for leaving, with no-one being late.
Generally, the day went like this.
Arrive at park for opening, sometimes a bit before opening but as a rule we would be at the park for “rope drop” / “gates opening”. As a group we deferred to Marcus to guide us around the park. At this point I will say Marcus’s knowledge of the parks (and rides) ensured we all got the maximum number of rides within the day. The first few hours, we packed in the rides, with very little in queue times moving around the park as a group.
It’s hard to explain, you arrive at a park, you see the big shiny giga coaster that everyone is running to, yet, we’re off to ride a wild mouse ride. Then we’re off to a launch coaster, then a water ride, then eventually we head back to the big shiny giga-coaster. Honestly, trust the process and believe in tour guides knowledge of the park. He knows the giga coaster will have a 1-hour queue at the start of the day which will die down to 10/20mins, whilst the wild mouse coaster is largely ignored yet has the worse throughput (so later in the day it has 1hr+ queues).
The first few of hours on the tour are the most intense in terms of getting around the park and getting on all the (good) rides. Now wasn’t the time to stop for a bite to eat or take lots of photos. You’ll have plenty of time later in the day for them activities. One tip thou’ make sure you have some drink on you. (Bottled water, whatever) and if you’re are the peckish sort bring snacks.
When it came to Lunch, Marcus knows the parks and can make recommendations on where to go and what food is good in the park (and what to avoid).
Can you go off on your own? Or with friends? Sure, you could, but you will be missing out on the best part of the tour, Marcus’s park experience. Generally, after smashing the first few hours, there is opportunity to go off and re-ride rides you like, it’s more fun as a group and that’s pretty much what happened on my tour.

The days are long, and we stayed at the parks until the last rides. Unlike UK parks, some parks stayed open until 8pm, 10pm so it is a long day. At the end of the day, we would hop back in the Tourneo Marcus would take us to somewhere to eat. Probably a McDonalds, or KFC or similar outlet. Then drive to the next hotel, a quick drink in the bar (maybe), update on the times for the morning (get breakfast, get out) and then sleep to start it all over again tomorrow.

Would I go again? in a heartbeat, this has been the best theme park holidays I've ever taken!

You like rollercoasters? Book it.

I went on the Belgium, Germany and Netherlands tour recently and I've got to say it was the best holiday I've ever been on. I've been on coaster trips (to one or two parks) before but with a large group and the idea of a small group of 8 sounded ideal, and it was ideal - we had a great group and got to know everybody in the group easily.
Marcus organised everything so all we had to take care of was transport to the starting point, and transport home from the finishing point, plus lunch/evening meals and buying merch.
Travel was in a Ford Torneo 9 seater, all the seats had decent leg room and USB sockets nearby, even the back middle seat wasn't cramped. Marcus encouraged us to change seating arrangements each trip so that we all get to know each other, which was a great idea.
It wasn't just a coaster trip, we went on plenty of other rides - rapids, log flumes, dark rides, spinning rides etc. The one thing you do need to be prepared for is the amount of walking you'll be doing - over the 7 parks we walked 60 miles.
This was the best holiday I've ever had, and I'm definitely booking another tour (South Germany/France) next year.

I am just back from the Coaster Breaks Begium Germany and Netherlands Tour and I have to say it what can only be described as the holiday of a lifetime for anyone, like me, who loves to ride rollercoasters. Marcus, our tour guide, knew the theme parks like the back of his hand and was able to zig zag us through the park from ride to ride to avoid the longer queues. He explained the story behind the rides and who they were made by etc. We were booked into comfy hotels every night and the mini bus was very comfortable even in the back row. I will be booking another break next year! WAHOO!

Had an awesome time on the Coaster Breaks Winter Tour in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Marcus was super knowledgeable and guided us around the parks superbly. Everything was arranged and booked perfectly for us and ran super smoothly! Have already booked another tour having enjoyed my first one so much!

My partner and I were lucky to secure two spaces on the 2022 Halloween tour across Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands. We had an absolutely amazing experience, riding around 50 coasters and countless other rides in just a week. All this was stress free thanks to Marcus’s enthusiasm and knowledge, ensuring we had minimal wait times and maximal riding time. Marcus taught us so much and was the perfect guide. He chose fantastic hotels and drove us round in a comfortable modern vehicle. We bonded as a group and have come away with great new friends, and were genuinely sad at the end to be saying goodbye. We can’t wait to do another tour in the future and would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys theme parks - enthusiast or not, you will have a great time.

This is a must for any coaster and theme park enthusiast. Marcus has taken an idea and implemented it above and beyond what I expected.

The first thing I should say is I travelled alone on this holiday and was some what anxious as to what to expect.
But after the first evening Marcus had brought us all together wonderfully. Ice broken and ready to experience our first park the next day. By the end of the week it felt like I had been on holiday with 7 other family members.
So if you are worried about going alone, don’t! Book it, you won’t regret it!!

The trip itself is amazing, experiencing some of Europes top coasters, such as Ride to Happiness, Untamed, F.L.Y. and Taron. Whilst seeing amazing and beautiful parks, like Phantasialand, Efteling and Toverland.
Add to that Marcus’s enthusiasm and knowledge (which is worth the price alone) and you get the trip of a lifetime. Marcus’s ability to navigate the parks and plan your day takes the stress away, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your surroundings. Marcus provides information about the history of the parks and rides which adds to the overall experience.
Marcus manages to make it look effortless, switching between being your guide, driver, booker and unofficial photographer, whilst integrating with your group to a point you feel he is just one of you on holiday, which makes the holiday all the better.

All the hotels and the transport was great, giving places for us all to chat, have a laugh and a drink after the parks closed.

The booking process was very simple and I’m looking forward to booking with Marcus again for a further trip next year!

Marcus plans everything which makes it a stress free holiday, he also knows the best way to navigate the parks which was good as there was no standing around wondering what to do next.

Where to start? There are so many things about this holiday that I loved. Marcus found a gap in the market and created a truely amazing experience at a great price.

The parks we visited were great and the rides phenomenal. (Shout out to Ride To Happiness, my new number 1 coaster in the world) But with coaster breaks that’s only half the experience. I enjoyed the after park chat’s/drinks with the group just as much. I met some really lovely people and have never laughed so hard in my life.

Marcus makes everyone feel welcome from the word go. He is very knowledgable about the places you visit and knows exactly how to get the most out of every day. Also the vehicle used on these trips is brand new and comfortable.

If you are thinking of booking on these trips just go for it. You will not regret it. This was the best holiday of my life. We had a group of 7 and every one of us wants to book on another trip next year though, so can’t promise they’ll be any places left.

Marcus is a great tour guide and thoroughly knows his stuff when it comes to theme parks and rollercoasters. He uses his knowledge to make the trips a great experience and always looks out for the group's takes.

As someone who has long since wanted to visit other European theme parks but never really had the means to make it work, CoasterBreaks seemed like an ideal opportunity, bundling travel, accommodation and the parks themselves into a package tour.

While a lot of how your days might go will depend on the parks themselves, the weather and so on, Marcus makes every effort to maximise the value every guest gets out of the trip, selecting locations in order that works best with opening hours, crowd levels and availability, and staying at comfortable, clean hotels situated such that there are no days with any more than about three hours of travel.

While a gameplan is offered to make the best use of what is available at each park, it is entirely optional and provision is made for you to go off and do your own thing if desired. This didn't often prove to be the case as at least in my case, I got on very well with the other members of the group as well as the tour guide himself and at the end of the week came away having made a group of new friends.

While the days are a little physically demanding as visiting theme parks from open to close will always be, there were none that were excessive, and we could get up and go to bed at a reasonable hour each day despite there being robust scheduling that ensured we reached each park around opening time every day. With hotels, driving (and all the cover / requirements that come with driving into Europe), parking etc. all arranged for us, there's no easier way to experience the parks listed on this trip. When considering the costs of eurotunnel, parks, hotels and so on, given that you have a driver and tour guide for the week, I think the price for the trip is also very reasonable.

All in all, this was a well organised but casual experience that felt every bit like a true holiday, not just allowing me to visit so many places I wished to see for so long, but having a great time while doing it with friendly banter between the group members. I cannot recommend Coasterbreaks highly enough and am very much looking forward to joining another tour in the near future.

Where to start, this was THE best trip I've ever been on. The short answer to would I recommend Coaster Breaks is YES, I cannot recommend it enough!

Being a first time solo traveller I was a little nervous, but Marcus, the tour guide, was extremely kind and welcoming. He kept in contact leading up to the tour and answered any questions I may of had. Keeping that theme throughout the tour he was constantly making sure the group was happy and having fun, providing drinks in the car, and bought as all a fastpass for a busier day at walibi belgium. He always made sure to have a good laugh while taking us through some of the world's best themeparks, smashing out some of the best Credits as many times as we wanted to!

If your a coaster enthusiast young or old looking to book a tour with Coaster Breaks do it! They are extremely accomodating to everyone. It was the best decision of my life and I imagine it will be yours too!

Doing a trip round European theme parks always seemed way too complex to organize myself & I put it off for many years. Thankfully I found Coaster Break’s Belgium, Germany and Netherlands tour! This was the perfect way to experience some of the best theme parks in Europe, with other awesome, likeminded individuals.

Upon arriving in Brussels, our guide Marcus helped everyone get to know each other and prepared for the days ahead. The hotels were amazing with great rooms and a fab breakfast each morning. They were always well spaced between each day’s activities - making travel times absolutely minimal.

Comfortable and spacious transport made each journey feel like no time at all. We got to each park for opening so never missed any riding time and experienced the entire day. Marcus was a brilliant guide and knows the parks so well. He always had the best knowledge on which attractions to do and when, to avoid big queues and get multiple rides in.

Knowing that everything had been organized for me removed any stress and let us truly enjoy each park with peace of mind that all travel and hotels were well sorted. Marcus planned each day to suit the group depending if people wanted to get all the smaller credits or take things more relaxed.

So overall, I can’t recommend Coaster Breaks enough! For anyone who wants to visit the best theme parks in Europe, you will have the time of your life!

If you are a theme park / roller coaster enthusiast, booking a tour with Marcus is an absolute must! I recently returned from the 8 day Belgium, Germany and Netherlands tour, and it was a dream come true!

Marcus was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and helpful both before and throughout the trip. After picking us up from Ashford he made sure we all felt welcome and at ease, and he put a lot of effort into making sure we had the best experience at every single park.

You also stay in some great hotels, travel in a nice comfortable vehicle, and will of course have some good laughs throughout! I've made some great friends, enjoyed some amazing bucket list rides, and overall just had the best time on this trip. I cannot recommend it enough!

Having a love for coasters and theme parks in general, my partner and I took the chance and decided to book onto a Coaster Breaks tour with Marcus Gear.
The tour was fantastic.
We went on the Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands tour which lasts roughly 8 days when you take into account the extra travel day.
Marcus picked us up from Ashford and we travelled over to Belgium with the majority of the group. From the get go and the initial meeting we knew we would have an Amazing week. Marcus was very friendly and an overall great guy.
Marcus is very passionate about coasters and theme parks and this was evident throughout the trip, he went above and beyond to make sure that in each and every park we had the best experience possible. Being a log flume enthusiast this was also catered for which made me beyond happy.
The amount of planning that went into the trip was remarkable- I take my hat off to Marcus for catering to all the groups needs and organising what I would explain was truly a holiday of a lifetime.
If you love roller coasters and theme parks, having a laugh in a group and generally just having a fantastic time- please don’t hesitate and book yourself onto a tour.
