Compass have been helping my sister and I with our father's claim. So far we have been unsuccessful and we are waiting now for a final decision. Whatever happens, we have valued the support and wisdom of everyone in the Compass team. Most recently we have had Madison help us - she has been very knowledgeable and wise, managing a complicated appeal along with managing us as family, coping with all the emotions of this process - especially as our father passed away during this time. Whatever happens I am glad that we have given this a shot. It is the right thing to do, as we firmly believe we have a strong case, and at the very least we have had Compass help us as we go forward. This is not a bad review for Compass they did let us know nothing is guaranteed and they did try their best, but this is a review more about the system. Our mother is bedridden, cannot feed herself , and can get aggresive at times, we all thought it was a slam dunk case us compass and the social worker. On the day of of the final assessment the social worker never even bothered to turn up, we had spent over £10,000 on this only to be turned down for continuing healthcare. So just a heads up think very carefully before spending .The 5 stars are for Compass who did their best.

From my first phone call to Compass CHC I felt reassured that I was in good hands. The man I initially spoke to gently talked me through the process and I felt no pressure , just reassurance that they would represent my friend well at the meetings . I am her LPA . They have the knowledge and the experience to know what CHC requires and won’t take on the case unless they feel confident that she has the healthcare needs required. Also due to my own commitments it took a lot off my shoulders to leave it to the experts.
I did attend the meetings incase there was anything to add although you don’t need to, but the lovely lady who represented my friend had requested all the relevant documents to challenge anything she differed on. She rang before the meeting to prepare me and afterwards to process it so I felt well supported.
