Just received my order for a Teak Balmoral bench
Just received my order for a Teak Balmoral 6ft bench complete with an engraved inscription and a small brass plaque. The quality of the bench is excellent and the inscription and plaque are just as requested. Communicaton with the company was excellent and the delivery was arranged to suit me and was on time by a friendly and helpful driver too. The bench is outside our Memorial Hall for everyone to enjoy. Thank you Corido for all your help and for a wonderful product.

The Corido experience
On Corido website, I found the garden bench I was looking for to replace one which had fallen apart. The choice was good and the fact it could come assembled was exactly what i needed. The process of delivery was faultless - first changing the delivery address the week before. The delivery van driver called me to say he would be 40 mins, which he was so, I was able to meet and direct him. He was very good and had clearly read about the Quaker meeting house being from 1700s. The new bench is now in situ in the garden.

Outstanding quality furniture
Outstanding quality furniture. We are thrilled with our sun loungers and garden bench. Very solid, beautiful wood and made for life. Good advice for keeping the the furniture in top condition.
Cushions also well made and robust for outdoors whilst still being soft and nice to look at.

The council purchased a memorial bench…
The council purchased a memorial bench for one of our residents. The service provided by Shathusni was excellent from start to finish. The bench was delivered quickly and efficiently as Shathusni had sent a photo to the driver of our drive and where to park and locate us as many drivers find it difficult. This is the 5th bench I have ordered from Corido.

Poor customer service
Good quality bench and cushion, delivered when promised. I had asked on the special requests form provided online when I ordered for help carrying the bench round into the garden. The delivery man simply dumped the bench outside my front door, thrust the receipt form I was clearly meant to sign through the letter-box and vanished. The company claimed he had knocked softly, which I doubt as I was listening out, and also said they could not find the request I had written (I see from these reviews that this has happened to other customers). No apology, still less compensation offered, and things were twisted to make it all seem my fault (I should apparently have made my request over the phone!?). For these reasons I will not be using them again.

We are very sorry that you felt disappointed with both the delivery and the correspondence from our customer support team.
As previously discussed, we were unable to find a record of your delivery instructions on our computer system, whether it was down to a computer glitch or human error on our part, unfortunately, we have no way of knowing and we apologise for this misunderstanding.
Our operations manager has discussed your delivery with our driver and he confirmed that on arrival he knocked gently on the door as it was early, around 7:20 am. Whilst we state that deliveries are made from 7am to 7pm, some customers are less than happy to receive such an early delivery and, regrettably, our drivers bear the brunt of this. He had hoped you would have heard the van and, receiving no response, assessed that leaving the bench in front of your house was a safe option.
We send a proof of delivery email with a photo once the delivery is complete. The paperwork placed through your letterbox is for your reference and doesn’t require signing.
This driver is very experienced with our deliveries and we can assure you he would have delivered the bench to the back garden had he received those instructions. We apologise again that the message did not get through to the driver and, as a consequence, the delivery did not live up to your expectations.
We understand your frustration and we genuinely value your feedback as we are committed to improving our service.
uncaring customer service commemorative hardwood bench…
Ordered a commemorative hardwood bench for my passing of my dad bench was on sale happy days purchased and payed for engraving £100 for 2 lines the bench arrived no engraving customer service stated we have never sold the bench for that price and offered me a brass plate for a further £50 i have decided to not have that as can get locally for less than £20 also the bench has no preservative on the wood and the emails that were sent all the pictures of the order have been removed by sender so to me they have used underhand techniques to cover their tracks i did not recieve the email they supposedly sent stating no engraving on my order so cannot send screen shots of the order i placed will not reccommend this company to anyone immotional ending to this purchase RIP dad

We have reviewed your order details and can confirm that there was no request for a carving included with your online bench purchase. We strive to provide clear communication, and prior to the delivery, we advised you that the bench was not engraved. It's important to note that all our engraved benches are hand-carved at our overseas factory, and we ask our customers to allow 10-12 weeks for the delivery of any carved item. On all benches that can be carved, there is a dedicated "Carved Inscription Options" section for customers to specify their desired wording and to pre-order the item. As this section wasn't filled out, the order didn’t include a carving or any specific wording to be engraved. To clarify, you were not charged for an engraving, as can be seen from your credit card statement, and we immediately offered you a full refund to address your concerns, giving you the opportunity to source a bench from elsewhere; however, this offer in good faith was refuted.
Regarding the use of teak oils, we recommend against their use as they can have an adverse effect on the aesthetics of teak wood over time. Incorrect application can even promote mildew growth or fungal blooms. For this reason, our benches are delivered smooth to the touch, with a finely-sanded finish (unless otherwise stated), and are designed to last for years with minimal to no maintenance required.
We understand the frustration of not receiving emails, but please rest assured that we did not, and nor are we able to, retract any emails. Our order confirmations are automatically generated and cannot be recalled once sent. It's possible that the order confirmation email may have ended up in your junk or spam folder and we recommend checking those folders to locate this missing email.
We genuinely value your feedback and are committed to improving our service. If you have any further concerns or would like to discuss this matter in more detail, please don't hesitate to contact our customer support team.

Comfortable, well built chairs
We originally bought one 'Bali' reclining chair, just to check the quality & comfort - and both were pretty good. Then mought another chair, the little foot stool / table and the cushions for both.
The delivery takes a couple of weeks - but they do let you know a few days in advance. The guy who delivered was friendly & helpful - insisting on carrying the packages to where they were going to go, despite my being twice the size of him!
I'm very impressed with the build quality & comfort of the seats. They are definitely better with cushions - but still comfortable without.
