All processes and procedures were smooth, except for one: Since we submitted several centimeters of hair, and since HCC can measure cortisol levels in different sections of hair, I expected to receive several measurements of cortisol levels over several months. Instead, I received one measurement that is the average cortisol over 3 months. This is helpful, just not what I expected.

I order this test for many of my patients very frequently. It provides really actionable data. And is an extremely useful lab test in my clinical practice as a nutritionist that specialises in stress, brain health and mental health.

The concept that you can check your cortisol levels over a 3 month period with a simple hair test in comparison to several blood tests that you might not have access to anyway is great. The test kit was easy to register, use and send back. Although next time I would get someone else to take the sample as it is a bit tricky to cut if you have longer hair. Results came quickly and you also get a free 30 mins consultation to discuss your results. I need to make lifestyle changes and will retry the test in the future.
