Costco & Euro Warranty Issues.

I had a friend who wanted me to have a look at his Euro E430 wine fridge that was no longer cooling.
Being a refrigeration mechanic, i inspected the fridge and determined that it had an unrepairable refrigerant leak. Other reviews i read about this same model fridge had similar complaints about how quickly their fridge had failed not long after the warranty period had expired.
So for me this fridge has a manufacturing fault.
In my mind you should get 10 to 15 years minimum out of a any fridge.
This wine fridge came with a 3 year warranty,
and this fridge happened to be 3 years and six months old.
I tried claiming warranty anyway as i wouldn't be happy if i paid $1,500 for a fridge that only lasted
3/ 1/2 years.
Costco immediately bumped me off to Euro, who are the manufacturers of the fridge to claim the warranty through them.
I sent Euro a report of my findings of there fridge. They absolutely refused to honor the warranty.
They offered a reduced price of 1,800 for their latest version of the Euro wine fridge which now retails for $3,000

Bad service for online order

Really disappointed in the customer service from Costco member care. Bought a fridge 11 days ago and cannot get any concrete feedback as to when they will schedule a delivery. After various calls I am basically told to wait and see. No replies on email request either.

Poor quality and Price gauging .

Well. I’ve been going to Costco for over 4-5 years now, but have to say this time( 1 week ago and my 2nd visit this year) . Thoroughly disappointed. Fuel is usually always cheapest. This time, it’s was at 1.64 when filling stations - Caltex 7 /11 offering $1.59 and further 4 cents off.
Chocolate croissants extremely dry. Bagels were horrible. Fish prices astronomical and so was all butter. I bought very little.
Wont be renewing my membership when it expires. 90 % of your produce is cheaper in supermarkets . Tariffs are hitting. !! I think ethically don’t want to support American companies so win / win to stop shopping there

Do NOT ever buy large furniture from…

Do NOT ever buy large furniture from Costco.com.au, what a complete nightmare! We ordered a sofa online on 13/8/25 — the price included delivery to the room of choice, unboxing, and packaging removal. Sounds convenient, right? Wrong!

The sofa finally arrived on 01/9/25, and the ANC delivery guys refused to carry it upstairs as the sofa is too heavy and they said it might damage the staircase as it is not wide enough, they didnt even try. They also refused to take the sofa back, saying we need to sign for it and accept the sofa first, then call Costco to arrange a pickup.

So we did exactly that. But when we called Costco, they refused to send anyone! Instead, they tried to spin it as a “change of mind” and told us to take the sofa ourselves to a warehouse if we wanted a refund. Absolutely ridiculous and dishonest.

Costco sold us a service they had no intention of providing. This is unacceptable, misleading, and shows complete disregard for customers. Save yourself the stress and money — NEVER order large furniture from Costco.com.au.

Frustrating Experience with Undelivered Item and Poor Communication- DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM COSTCO WHOLESALE

I’m writing to share my recent experience with Costco Wholesale regarding an item I ordered in July 2025 that was undelivered. Unfortunately, my attempts to resolve this issue have been met with poor communication and an unsatisfactory response from the Customer Service Team.
Despite my efforts to clarify the situation, I was accused of dishonesty with representatives suggesting that I had stolen the item. This is not only false but has added to my distress. I have thoroughly reviewed my security footage from the delivery date provided by Costco Wholesale and I can confirm that the item was never delivered to my address.
Due to lack of resolution and support, I feel compelled to escalate my situation to the Australian Fraud Squad. I hope that sharing my experience will prompt Costco Wholesale to improve their communication and customer service processes, as no customer should have to go through such an upsetting ordeal.

Costco Epping – Very Disappointing Customer Service

This evening, I attended the Epping Warehouse with my children after a particularly traumatic week. I had been working since 8am supporting children with disabilities, and although I wasn’t in the best headspace, I needed to pick up stock for our family business.

When I arrived, I discovered my digital membership card wasn’t working, so I headed to the service desk. As someone with ADHD, Costco can already be a very overwhelming environment—noisy, crowded, and chaotic—with trolleys going every direction and very little spatial awareness or courtesy. I was already on edge, grieving, exhausted.

After waiting, a staff member at the far end of the desk waved for me to come over. As I approached, she began speaking with a colleague, but then abruptly turned to me and snapped, “Get back over there!” I was stunned. I felt like I was being spoken to like a misbehaving dog. There was no apology, no professionalism—just rudeness. I bit my tongue and just did what I had to do to get through it.

My 12 year old son had been right behind me when entering. I was holding my young daughter’s hand, and I assumed he had decided to just take a moment out of the chaos while I dealt with the admin side of things. But I found him outside, visibly upset. Apparently, when he tried to follow me in with the trolley, a staff member at the door stopped him and barked, “No! , you can’t come in!” and did not allow him to respond.

My son also has ADHD, and any child spoken to like that—let alone one already vulnerable—would freeze up and not know what to do. If I had heard it myself, my reaction would have been much more significant. But when I confronted the staff member, he laughed. LAUGHED. I told him firmly that you do not stop a child from entering a store—children don’t carry membership cards. What did he think my son was going to do? Shop alone?

To make matters worse, instead of apologising or de-escalating, he smugly responded, “A decent mother would enter with her child.” Absolutely unacceptable. He is very lucky my neighbour did not come with me as planned, I'm sure with a 7 foot gentleman beside me this cretin wouldn't have thought himself so brave.

I asked for his name, and he refused to give it. I couldn’t read his badge clearly without my glasses, but it was a short name beginning with A.

This is the second time something like this has happened at Costco Epping. And it’s not just frustrating—it’s dehumanising. These two individuals, being the first point of contact for customers, were rude, dismissive, and entirely lacking in basic respect or empathy. Frankly, they should be nowhere near a service desk or entry point. Perhaps they’d be better suited to working in the back, away from customers altogether.

My membership is up for renewal at the end of the month, and after this experience, I’m seriously reconsidering whether it’s worth continuing. No savings are worth feeling like this.

I honestly left Costco feeling a little…

I honestly left Costco feeling a little let down because I was hoping for good value. To shop, you have to pay for a membership, which didn't seem like a good deal to me tho there are bulk discounts, but only if you have a large family or the space; otherwise, it's a bit excessive also what was surprising was that the prices weren't always lower than those of other stores.

Disgusting traffic and cars parked…

Disgusting traffic and cars parked illegally all over the place. I've never seen the place so busy,I turned around and went home.
Thinking of cancelling my membership after 6 years because we literally can't get into the warehouse.

Excellent service from staff member Pam at Casuarina store according to her name tag has been employed since 2022. Went to the store on the 2nd feb 25, Had a long list to get, have executive membership with my son. Ended up at the check out on my own and Pam was really helpful with the whole process. Really impressed!. My only grouse was the total lack of any frozen fish and sourdough bread. Love filling up with cheap fuel as my car needs premium. It fully covers the executive membership fee in a few weeks. Best bargain was a huge 85 inch tv which was reduced by $500.00 when store opened.

Disrespecting members

Member for years, executive member for one year, shopped with only ever using phone and spent thousands for our business. Told today after going out of way, physical card only, get from desk, behind 80 or so people doing the same. If Costco feel they sent a message that this is a new policy, then please see previous comments about queue. Did not expect to be treated this way after many years of loyalty. Now an ex-member, will not renew.

Buy cheap mouldy products



We went to do our shopping and we thought of buying some pizza bases and kids come back to me saying "mama, we can't buy it, look, they are moldy!" - I wish I can put my photo up everywhere on internet

We paid for premium membership to buy moldy products?!! This is UNACCEPTABLE and you will be reported!

Rude and unapproachable staff

Most of the staff working here are unapproachable and rude to the Max. They are engaged in their own conversations and block the way. I was literally looking thru the sizes when I was rudely told by the staff, what was I looking for when she had a trolley. Am I supposed to know that? I had to bend over to take the item but it was of a different colour. She snatched the box away from me and got another pair. All throughout, I kept thinking many times but never once a reply to that. Seriously if you don't like to work, do us all a favour and stay at home.

Costco in Adelaide you should be ashamed of yourself. My 80 year old Mum was stopped at the door because she had a shopping trolley from another store!
We didn't go in and never will again!

Charged me twice on fuel transaction…

Charged me twice on fuel transaction and now not refunding tell me to contact my bank and when I contact my bank they say contact Costco making excuses
Transaction over $1200 and now when I try to contact them on Facebook they are blocking me to put the reviews
They are worse to deal with
Now on Monday I am taking legal action against the Costco and banking sector
So they know every one is not same
They have to answer me and apologize and refund my money

Moorabbin Store & fuel review

Pro’s:-Cheap fuel, sometimes decent label clothing at great prices. Cheap meat, cheap birthday cakes & cheap chips (crisps).

Con’s:- Can only save money on fuel for my diesel vehicle, as the type of unleaded our other car needs isn’t supplied. Store is so busy it’s not the funnest experience especially as the trolleys are so cumbersome & big. And turn slower than an oil tanker.

As for the biggest con, having to queue to get your bloody receipt checked. Just plain dumb 🤦‍♂️.
