Love, love the flour. The range is fantastic & I have been using it for different sourdough breads & pizza for several months with great success. However, I have had a couple of issues with the courier & after nearly two weeks of my last order being with the courier & not delivered, I have had to ask for a refund & purchased my flour elsewhere. Very disappointed as I much prefer Cotswold flour but the service from DX just wasn’t good enough.

I’ve been a regular and loyal customer of your emmer flour for quite some time now, always appreciating the exceptional quality and fine texture that makes it ideal for my baking needs. However, I was quite disappointed with the most recent batch I received.

The flour appears unusually coarse, with an excessive amount of husk and rough particles. As a result, it has been extremely difficult to knead a proper dough. The consistency is uneven and lumpy, making it hard to shape or handle, and the baked bread turns out uncharacteristically hard and dense. I thought that I might be just 1 bad bag of flour but the second bag was also super coarse and with even bigger prices of husk visible in the dough and bread.

This is not the quality I expect from a trusted and reputed brand like yours. I rely on your emmer flour specifically for its fine milling, which until now has always produced smooth dough and beautiful loaves.

Could you kindly look into this issue? I’d appreciate it if you could advise whether this is a one-off manufacturing issue or a change in the milling process. I would also be grateful for a replacement or refund, as the current batch is not usable for my intended baking.

Matthews always has a good range of flours, and my order was well packed and dispatched quickly.

I bought 5 different flours - from white bread, Cotswold crunch to all purpose - and am working my way through them. New flours and a new oven - so I'm experimenting and taking a little time to get to know them. The taste is fine - it's my technique that needs working on! (Perhaps their baking book would help.)

Really like these flours, they are easy to work with and have plenty of good flavour. The prices are competitive, delivery is fast and I appreciate all the recipes on the website. There's lots of choice, too.

Fantastic range of flours. All well described and their uses in different types of baking. The flour arrives well packaged and is always fresh. Love the recipe suggestions as well. I love everything we use the flour for in baking, from pastries and cakes to bread, only downside everything is so scrumptious I can’t resist eating it all. Hence a size larger in clothes!! Oh well not giving up on one of life’s greatest pleasures!!!

I've bought from Cotswold Flour 3 times now and the flour has always been very good and arrived well packaged after a problem free delivery.

The flour produced by Matthews is by far the best that I have used to date. The range of flours they produce is very widespread and caters for all my baking needs.l have been using it now for over 5 years the best move I ever made. There delivery now has improved significantly so no complaints, would highly recommend.

I bought Wychwood Oat Bran flour, it’s makes a lovely loaf. Bake it in bread maker as a white loaf. Have got quite a few of Mathews Cotswold flour but this is our favourite. Just a pity that our supermarket dosent stock that flour.

Ordering was simple, information good, product excellent. Unfortunately delivery was not, box was handed over but hiding damage to box, thought flour was ok but on opening the bag was ripped. I made contact but without photos nothing could be done, i’d suggest stronger packaging or better couriers.

Matthews flours are simply the best ... their all-purpose flour is great for all your baking, though I have to confess that their maize bite flour is amaizing (!) for all things pastry ... delivery is quick ... bulk buy is convenient ... quality is superb ... what more can you ask
