I ordered a rustic jug from this company and when it came it was exactly what I wanted! The quality was excellent and it was delivered promptly. I was so pleased I looked at the website again and ordered another one, along with 2 small vases and a dried flower arrangement. 30 year update
As my table lamps were a least 30 years old, time to update. I found Cowshed online, liked what I saw but wanted to extend my search, making sure I had not missed anything. Nothing came near, and the one I first saw at Cowshed I came back to over and over again. The web site very well presented, and when I telephoned to get some advice Wendy was extremely helpful, a great asset to the company. Lamps same design different shape, Wendy sent me pictures of them side by side. I ordered two first, on arrival loved so ordered the third. They look beautiful just need a couple of picture to complete the upgrade. The lamps on both occasions arrived within 2 days, and the packaging amazing, well done Neil.
Cowshed a great find, wish you were a little closer.

Great customer service
Highly recommend! They have some beautiful items on the website, I ordered a number of vases and decorative bits, some quite large and all arrived in perfect condition due to how well they were packaged! I had to return a couple of items just cos they were too big for the shelves (my own fault for not measuring) and I arranged this with ease. Excellent and very friendly customer service!

Since replying this morning we note you've left the same review on Google but not been able to provide the simple information requested. Is this because your review is fake and you've never actually had any interaction with us.
Just chasing you Gary on 14 April to say you’ve not provided your order details. We accept you’ve had no interaction with us and certainly not bought anything. What we have done is have your reviews, postcodes and activity checked against Georgia Kenyon. The opinion is that there is a greater than 99% chance you have a connection. Is this correct?

Hello. Your review on extortionate delivery and return prices is difficult to understand when you are aware of the delivery cost before completing your order and making payment. Returns - we make the process of returning items very clear and transparent on our returns page - we do not set any return costs as you suggest, the method and choice of courier to return is entirely your choice. We're fortunate to be able to rectify all customer issues very quickly and simply, on the rare occasions they occur but we have no record of any contact from you with regards a shade quality issue nor any pictures. We are aware that you bought a small shade for a large lamp and then decided to buy a bigger size shade. You then returned the small shade which was crushed by the courier but for some reason you are holding us responsible for that. We'd obviously love to do whatever we can to assist customers but in this instance we will have to let you use the courier insurance to make a claim against the damage they caused. We'd be happy to investigate this further given the opportunity.

I ordered a beautiful lamp. It arrived very securely packaged, was as described (and even better than the images on their website), plus the customer service I received was outstanding.
Dpd said they couldn’t deliver the item as they couldn’t find my address (even though they deliver here almost every week). I reported this to cowshed who raised it with DPD, reported back that they’d try again the next day and even checked back to make sure I’d received the item and I liked it. I will definitely recommend the company to people and look to buy from them again,

Not only was I super happy with the quality of my purchase from Cowshed Interiors their customer service was fantastic. Wendy was super reassuring and straight on the case of sorting out my delivery, to ensure it arrived by Christmas. Would thoroughly recommend this small business.

Fantastic Service
I had a lovely shopping experience with Cowshed, Wendy gave me a tour of the warehouse and showed me the items I had my eye on. I purchased an item and have since ordered a couple of other things I had seen that day.

Ordered a beautiful lamp close to £200 in cost.
Lamp base itself was fine but sadly the bulb holder was not straight and clearly damaged as the shade was very offset. I contacted Cowshed Interiors right away via online chat. We were advised that the bulb holder does have movement and to simply adjust. The conclusion was it was still no better, it was the fixing itself not by he adjustable part. I was told our only option was to return the lamp for a full refund, but at our own cost. This was very unfair given the fault was not of our own. Avoidance in case of similar reluctance to help in a frustrating situation via customer service. Should not be selling 5* items if your customer service cannot match up! Hugely disappointing. Now stuck with a faulty lamp.
I have now received a response from cowshed stating we are trying to attack their small family business. Answer this would you want a lamp in your lounge with a wonky lampshade. No matter how you adjust it it doesn’t sit right. I think not. Yes we can return but at cost of your own is clearly not a fair understanding approach. As already said disappointed.
Good customer service is simple for most. Not here it seems. Hide behind terms and condition rather than see it from the customers view.
Either of the responses are still not helpful to the situation. But I appreciate your trying to defend the situation for your “small business”.
The bottom line bulb holder is still off of where it enters the lamp base. This is a fact. However if you wish to state it’s something thats to be considered when paying £149, that’s on you. Thank you for such attention in your responses to my review, shame the same efforts were not pursued to cover the returns cost.
I will fix the base some how, no choice as I am not willing to cover the returns cost. Your wonky item not my place to cover the postage.

Following your conversation with our customer service team yesterday, I am sorry we were not able to resolve your concerns about your table lamp to your complete satisfaction.
You advised and sent pictures saying that the stalk supporting the 360-degree tilt and pivot bulb holder was 1-2mm out. We advised that due to the handmade nature of these lamps and many of our other products, we do ask to expect some tolerance on the finish of items.
We have this information on all product pages and in a couple of different general areas of the website.
We have no wish to and certainly no need to mislead customers about their expectations. However, we do ask that if you have any questions or concerns, you get in touch, and hopefully, we can resolve them before purchase.
A stalk holding the bulb holder 1-2mm off vertical can occasionally occur on lamps, and that is why when we design an item such as a lamp, we always request the 360-degree tilt and pivot bulb holder be fitted. It’s slightly more expensive but well worth us absorbing - nobody likes a shade that does not sit straight.
The response was you were not happy with this. You didn’t ask for a replacement because you were overall very happy with the lamp - you were looking for something else.
We emphasised the option of an immediate return of the lamp, and of course, we would refund the £149 paid - NOT £200, as you attempt to mislead readers of your comments and do as much damage to our little family business as possible.
You are not ‘stuck’ with a ‘faulty’ lamp, you are very welcome to return within the terms of returns and as explained on the website - no quibble.
We very much appreciate all reviews, 1 star or 5 stars; they are all equally as important in our view. A company with all 5-star reviews comes across as a little bit too good to be true. 1 star reviews flag areas we need to look at and in many instances work with suppliers and manufacturers to improve our product offering.

You say Cowshed states 'we are trying to attack their small family business'. It is clear we did not use the word 'attack'. This is a very aggressive word but with such an inaccurate review it can feel as such.
Just to be clear we are Cowshed Interiors - not Cowshed, just to avoid confusion.
With regards to 'hiding behind terms and conditions', terms and conditions are a legal requirement and an agreement to let members of the public know the terms, rules and guidelines for using our website or mobile app.
I'm sorry if it appears cowardly but it is the law.

Really poor company to deal with, threatening legal action to remove my review
Really poor company, purchased 2 lamps (£200) which were a totally different colour to that advertised, glass was very inferior for the price. If your confident in your product and know the customer will like it you would not charge them for both delivery and return costs, would not use this company again
The response I received from Cowshed was to threaten me with legal action if I did not delete my review as per below, yet again, what a lovely response from this company
“The statements cannot be substantiated and as a result, we may need to take legal advice and follow through with a claim for damages.
Sincerely this is not a course of action we would wish to go down,
We do clearly state in our terms and conditions about returns that returns are the responsibility of the buyer. We also make it in section 4 our view on unsubstantiated reviews - I have copied in the section below for reference:
*Please note we will not accept or tolerate any abusive or threatening behaviour, including but not limited to the use of or threat of a bad review as leverage. Unsubstantiated negative reviews are defamatory. Malicious negative reviews are malicious falsehoods and both can result in serious financial harm. Bad review bullying is unacceptable and we reserve the right to handle any such threat with a legal response.

A company with all 5-star reviews comes across as a little bit too good to be true. 1 star reviews flag areas we need to look at and in many instances work with suppliers and manufacturers to improve our product offering.
For clarity and transparency, you purchased two delicate clear glass lamp bases along with our handmade quality 40cm limestone shades.
The lamp bases were £59 each.
We are lucky enough to supply some products from our range to The White Company. These lamp bases are identical to the glass lamp bases The White Company used to retail so we are very confident in them.
We are unsure as to how they could be a totally different colour. Our shades are made and the fabric is dyed in batches of hundreds and are all matching.
With regards to returns, we make this very clear on our website and always look at ways to improve communication and clarity but we think at the moment it is very clear.
We are very confident in our products and every product is hand-picked to ensure the best quality we can Annemarie.
Looking at the reviews you have left for others, they all appear to be 1-star. You've clearly been unlucky - we hope that changes for you.
