Camp is a hard sell for my 9yo son
Camp is a hard sell for my 9yo son. He's been to many over many years, and few are awarded an overall positive review by him. Creator Camp locked in as top choice from Day One. He was excited to go every day, and was excited to keep working on his projects the moment he got home. He was sad when it ended and can't wait to go again.

Fun Making Music and Beats with Nyla
Our son just completed a 3 day camp here for music and beats and he had a great time with Ms. Nyla. We were impressed with what he learned and produced in the short amount of time and he is looking forward to the next one.

Amazing Staff
I wanted to take a moment to recognize Micah for the incredible impact he had on my son this week at camp. From the very beginning, Micah demonstrated exceptional patience, empathy and emotional intelligence. He took the time to understand him rather than simply reacting to his behaviors and that made all the difference. Thank you, Micah, for helping him shine.

Battlebots was a win!
My kid loved her experience at Creator Camp: Battlebot Technicians. Parents received helpful information in advance and throughout the camp experience. Drop-off and pick-up were easy. And my kid came home each day talking non-stop about the fun she had. She learned that frustration and failure are part of the engineering process and how to channel them into new ideas and designs. Her counselor Eddie gave her lots of encouragement and sent her home with a note that praised her for specific ways she had growth and helped others.

Great instructor and good skills learned
Mr. Matt was really kind to my child. She said what made him a good instructor was that he had deep patience with the kids and explained everything step by step. In two days, she really learned how to make a cool video game! She was disappointed when camp ended!

Perfect camp for little creators!
My kiddos (ages 8 and almost 10) loved Creator Camp! They had a blast learning new skills aligned to their interests, making new friends, and having meaningful interactions with their counselors. They came home each day and worked on new projects inspired by their camp experience. Shoutout to all the Manhattan Beach, CA counselors - Andrew, Riley, Rachel, Melissa, & Fiona -for being super nice, knowledgeable, energetic, and so much fun! 🎉🤩 I highly recommend Creator Camp for curious, tech-savvy kids who are excited about creating!

Overall positive- need better apps
Overall the experience was positive. Staff were attentive and the location was very good. I’m a little disappointed in the apps that were used for the camps. One camp used an app that will be discontinued in one month, so my child won’t be able to apply what he learned for very long. The other camp used GarageBand which is a good app, but it’s one my son already used and knew a lot about. Due to this, he didn’t learn much that was new. I would recommend that with their promo materials, they include the apps that they plan to have the students learn and use.

We also really appreciate your honesty regarding the software used in the camps, and we completely understand your perspective. To give you a little background on the game design app, Struckd, its discontinuation was actually a surprise announcement right before our summer season kicked off. Because it happened so close to camp starting, our team didn't have enough time to completely rebuild and test a brand-new 3D game design curriculum. We are so sorry for any disappointment this caused! The silver lining is that the core concepts your son learned, like level layout, game logic, and pacing, are completely transferable skills that will give him a huge head start in any other game engine he explores.
Regarding GarageBand, it is definitely an app that many creative kids have encountered before! While it is super approachable for beginners, it is also a highly complex, professional-grade tool used by real musicians and producers. Because it has so many advanced layers, mixing capabilities, and automation tools, it can take years to fully master. That being said, we love that your son already had a great foundation, and we appreciate knowing he was ready to be pushed even further!
Your suggestion to list the specific apps in our promotional materials is an excellent idea, and we will absolutely share this with our team so parents can better gauge the perfect track for their child's skill level.

Fun, but no outdoors recess
Overall my 10yo daughter had fun, wrote songs on Garage band and was met with a kind and friendly counselor in her small group. My one pet peeve is that the website presents a day in a camper which includes recess outside, running, going in a playground, and that didn't happen. So from 8:30-3:30 kids were in a room, moved to another room for lunch, and returned to their specific room to continue to work on their iPads. I'm not sure I would have signed up for this knowing that ahead of time. Kids sitting all day and in front of an iPad... The camp cannot sell on their website something they do not deliver. Otherwise, counselors were kind and communicative and they have done well within the parameters of their goals.

We completely understand your concern about screen time and physical activity, and we want to assure you that our campers are not on iPads all day. We intentionally build in two designated, completely screen-free breaks during the day to ensure everyone gets a chance to unplug.
Regarding recess, our policy is always to utilize safe outdoor recess options and playgrounds whenever they are available at a specific venue. However, outdoor access does vary by location based on facility setups and safety parameters. When outdoor spaces are not available, we transition to indoor recess, where our team works hard to keep campers active, moving around, and engaged with peer-to-peer games.
We really appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it helps us ensure our website expectations align clearly with each specific location. Thank you again for your feedback, and we are glad that your daughter still walked away with some great new music production skills.

My son loved this camp
My son loved this camp. He went two separate weeks (a couple weeks apart) and thought he’d be bored going to the same camp again. He was beaming everyday when I picked him up & was excited to talk about the animations he created. I love that there’s an app to view his creations even if you rent their iPad. There were few technical difficulties with the app at first.

Every day my son came out exited
Every day my son was in camp came out super happy about things he just learn im surprise about how much stuff he get to show me this is our first camp like this and it did not disappoint im sure we’ll come back for some more fun activities with this camp, we did 2 day first to deep our toes into it but the first day my son say I want to come back and we did he has super happy with counselors and the new friends he made in the days he was there, im super please with how the manage one mistake that I have made on the inscription it was a big deal to them.
