Culkin Plumbing and Heating Reviews 

Called due to issues with pilot light not staying lit on my boiler. Appointment booked for the following morning. Joel identified issue, part ordered and returned fixing it with no fuss or issues. He even helped me try to find the part cheaper online which was nowhere in stock. Price was fair. Will definitely use Culkin again.

This is the 4th time or so I have used Culkin's services, always positive.
Most recently Joel was brilliant: no-fuss, competent and efficient, fixing in a washing machine, plus 2 last minute plumbing requests. Very pleased. Thank you!

I used Culkin for many years but recently had a very disappointing experience with them. I asked them to replace a radiator. They took 5.5 hours to drain the system and replace the radiator, at the end of which my boiler was no longer working (I accept sludge may have damaged it). The adult overseeing the work was told that the system was fine but subsequently we discovered that it wasn't working. Culkin insisted we had been told all along about the damaged boiler which was not true and meant we were left for many days with no hot water or heating. I queried the bill for over three months.

Outstanding.
Boiler had a gas leak and needed to be serviced.
Culkin's were responsive when making the appointment.
The engineer was bang on time when attending at 8am (a specific time slot was given and adhered to - not 'in the morning' or 'at some point between 7am-7pm'!) .
Professional, pleasant, polite and efficient.
Job completed without fuss, huffing and puffing or escalation to additional work 'needed'.
I very highly recommend them, and will not use anyone else for any boiler/ heating issues.

Really fantastic service by Jerry at Culkin. He worked really hard to resolve a long standing problem and didn't give up. Clean and tidy and very helpful. Cannot recommend Culkin and Jerry in particular.

culkin have been servicing my boiler for a few years now in a rented apartment and solving other plumbing problems. They are really reliable, courteous and very efficient.

I had an ongoing problem with a rather old boiler. Culkin Plumbing did their very best to try and get it mended but in the end we decided it would be better to replace it. Their engineers are all efficient, friendly and diligent. I was - as always - extremely impressed with the quality of the service from this local, trusted company. They were VERY good value for money; my new boiler and the installation was far less than I feared it might cost.

Excellent local company. Really pleased I found them after so many bad experiences with heating engineers. A company small enough that the boss himself specs out the job, but large enough to have enough engineers on hand to offer fast service. Reasonably priced and thoroughly professional.

Fantastic service. Jerry identified the issue, ordered the parts and fixed my leaky loo all within a 2 hour window - a true professional.

Jerry came out at short notice to fix a boiler leak, was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and service.

I was very impressed with Jerry (Jeremiah) who mended the external leaking mains stop cock at my flat and accurately identified where my internal stop cock was hidden. He did an excellent detective job as there was no real indication of where the internal stop cock might be. It was in a most unlikely place, boxed in, near the ceiling in the hall. He found it, cut out the boxing to create access, fitted an access panel and was most efficient and knowledgeable. The tap had never been used since the house had been converted into flats - to my certain knowledge. I had no idea where, or even if, I had an internal stop cock for my flat. He did an excellent job, loosened the tap so I could turn it on and off (it hadn't been used for 33 years!) and I am very pleased. He was professional, thorough and conscientous

Charming but clueless!

I had a friendly plumber from Culkin Plumbing come to look at a leak from my water stop cock. He spent a good half hour fiddly around and then advised me he was unable to do anything and I should contact Thames Water as he thought it was something to do with the Thames water mains.

I contacted Thames Water who sent out an engineer that day who investigated the problem. He established that my mains was not the one the plumber had been trying to switch off (they dug up my pavement and located my mains).

However the engineer after seeing the stop cock leak said it was not a problem with the mains but just a simple replacement of a rubber seal on the stop cock. Despite the leak being on private property (Thames Water only deal with leaks that are on the Thames Water mains) the engineer replaced the rubber seal which fixed the leak. This took him 2 minutes to do so.

Very good service - prompt, efficient and polite, especially at the start of very difficult times for people. Schedule was kept to with minimum disruption. All left tidy. Thank you.

significant problem with a complicated system including underfloor heating was brilliantly fixed by Jerry who modified the pipe flows, changed the main pump for a more powerful one. I have a better and quieter system than when it was new. Also Jerry called and stopped by several times to check everything was OK. Wonderful service!!
