The Global Excel Summit 2025 in Soho, London, was an exceptional event for anyone passionate about Excel and its evolving ecosystem. With two in-person days and one virtual day, it offered a perfect blend of expert-led sessions and high-value networking.

As an Excel pro and financial modeller, I appreciated the depth of topics covered—not just Excel, but also Power BI, Office Scripts, Power Query, and automation. The event truly lived up to its “Global” name, showcasing the broader landscape of modern Excel and its integration with other powerful tools.

Networking was another highlight, connecting with finance professionals and Excel trainers who shared great insights. It was inspiring to exchange ideas with experts who are pushing the boundaries of Excel and AI.

Kudos to Tea, Elena, and the team for putting together such a well-organized and impactful event. Looking forward to the next one!

Overall - it was a really well organized collection of the most brilliant minds! Very sharp and professional. All felt very seamless to me. Left feeling inspired and well connected to more than ever. Everyone was so warm and welcoming.

Selfishly, my favorite part is always networking/chatting with attendees/presenters - so perhaps some extended break times would be helpful.

I think in contrast to the Active Cell conference - I thought I was going to need my laptop more during the presentations. Honestly, I quite liked not having to lug it around the second day. (Would have liked to know day 1 so I didn’t bring it, but I might have just not read instructions well 😂) the venue was really cool! … but with extra bags and nonsense on me, made it quite clunky to get in and out of the rows of seats.

All to say, it was a great event that uplifts the whole community. Having the recorded sessions + well oiled usage of the online platform was a really cool feature. Will definitely be rewatching!

The Global Excel Summit 2025 was superb. These events have so many aspects to them; from the speakers to the opportunities to meet other people in your industry / with the same interests as you.

I really loved the Soho venue this year, and I think the networking sessions were a lot of fun.

I hope this summit, in particular, continues to grow as it’s something very special for the Excel community.

Thank you to everyone involved for putting this together. It really is a fantastic event for anyone who loves Excel, and I would highly recommend attending in person if you can.

In general, I enjoyed the event very much and it was a great opportunity to find out about innovations and to socialise with like-minded people, as well as to meet my personal Excel stars in person. That was wonderful.

The organisation, location, planning and communication beforehand also worked really well. The presentation of some of the speakers could have been better and the technical content more in-depth. I think this was done to reach a wider audience. At the same time, however, I believe that advanced users and professionals, rather than absolute beginners, are interested in this type of event. That's why I was hoping for more in some of the sessions.

I particularly enjoyed the 3-day bootcamp with Ken Puls, which was a definite highlight of the summit alongside the networking and also made the trip as a whole very worthwhile.

Nevertheless, I would recommend the event without reservation and I still have it on my annual watchlist to consider attending again.

Great event for networking & Excel overview!

Two days in person, one day virtual.

I met great people in the finance industry (mostly Excel trainers) which had great insights to share to an Excel/AI trainer like me!

The word "Global" in Global Excel Summit has to be highlighted as many sessions are topics "around" Excel such as : Power BI, Office Scripts, Power Query. That being said it is amazing to open your eyes on what's possible in modern Excel!

Networking sessions were nice and the venue was amazing. Would take more breaks between sessions and longer lunch to network a bit more ! This is where the gold nuggets are :)

Great organization by Tea, Elena, Andrew and the team! Good job.

The only thing I did not like was: this is an Excel conference, yet many of the presentations were not directly Excel-related, in my opinion. For example, the Deal or No Deal session was not really Excel; CONCATENATEX function in Power BI was not; Designing Power BI reports that delight was not; The topic of rethinking beginner, intermediate, and advanced was nothing one could learn Excel from; etc. These seemed like great sessions for a summit with a different title than Excel summit! Maybe Global Microsoft Excel-related software, including Excel Summit!
Basically, I was hoping for more pure Excel details and insights. Yet I gave it 5 stars!

The most well run and community focused event I've attended. Great sense of fun mixed with learning and networking. Tea and Elena know how to engage and excite a community while planning, curating and running world class events.

This was my first "Excel-dedicated" conference. I really enjoyed it, even though I attended online. There is such a gap in the USA for Excel conferences, teaching, and upskilling. I hope that this conference will add a USA opportunity to attend in person by next year. While London is definitely on the bucket list, it is not within a state supported budget. The online experience was one of the best I have had, and I was able to attend a spectacular master class as well by Danielle Stein Fairhurst. She is brilliant. I would consider attending the online conference again given the opportunity, and I would definitely attend one in person. The time difference is a bit of a challenge, and I will be watching about half of the live presentations after the conference ends, but totally worth it!

Overall very good, tech worked well, plenty of interesting stuff for me. One or two irritating mannerisms in speakers but content is what matters

Global Excel Summit 2025 was excellent!

The venue was conveniently located and appropriate for the scale of the event. The organisers were warm and welcoming which made an impact!
The sessions presented covered a wide range of topics with appropriate level of depth. Excellent speakers and presentational skills. I wish there were more time allowed for Q&A after each session, but given the time constraint, I think it was a good alternative that the online platform allowed for further discussions to be developed. In terms of logistics and communication with the audience, DATEL did great!
Looking forward to next year.

It is the 4th year that I have been present at GES, always online. I think that this year, especially on the first day, the experience for those online was not fantastic. In the following days it was much better.

Once again I had an absolute blaste at the (online) Global Excel Summit. Everything went smoothly and on-time and the speaker selection was fantastic. Thank you so much!

I did not like the noise level of the networking area. It was noisy enough with us, the music was a fail. I barely could hear anyone and I had to shout to let others hear me.
No soft drinks served in the networking area. Not even tea.
I did not know about the open mic, I would have applied.
The sessions were better last year, especially the first half of the first day was pointless.

So all in all: it was okay for networking, despite the noise level I managed to have new connections. I am much less satosfied with the presentations. I missed the Big Topic that connects them, and the quality was kinda alternating. Even Leila had nothing really to say, she just made a list of recent updates, and I could not even tell what the other opening keynote was about.

Datel organised the Global Excel summit in London. Had a great time and experience. Looking forward to participate again next year.

The events that Datel have put on have been amazing. Very well organised, and useful topics.
The Global Excel Summit was such a great event. I learned so much. It has totally changed the way I work and increased my confidence when working with data. I've also met some brilliant people. I was a bit nervous about going, but everyone was so welcoming and friendly.
Also love attending the London Excel Meetup group.

The whole experience was amazing! Brilliantly well-organised and with presentations from Excel experts from all around the world. It was great to have an opportunity to mingle with so many of my Excel heroes as well as with the other participants, just sharing our love of Excel. When can I book for next year?

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to attend the Global Excel Summit .This was my first time attending the conference (online), and I was truly impressed by the quality of the speakers, the breadth of the topics covered, and the overall organization of the event. Global Excel Summit is an event which I desperately await. Many Excel Pros, especially MVPs, share their valuable insights and years of accumulated experiences. Learning from them is a pleasure.

I am grateful to the organising team for such entertaining topics and an extraordinary event.

I had an amazing time attending this year's Global Excel Summit. The organization, content, social networking, and the overall Excel enthusiasm was an absolute joy to experience. The presentations were very well laid out, and prolific amounts of very useful was taught over the three short days of the Summit. I also truly felt a part of the Excel community, and I enjoyed networking with fellow Microsoft Excel and data enthusiasts. I'm already looking forward to attending next year's session.

I am so impressed with how well the Global Excel Summit 2023 was run by Datel. Having all the recordings up and many of the working files available by the following morning was outstanding!

There are not enough superlatives to describe how fabulous this event was! My brain will hurt for days from trying to cram so many new things in.

GES-2024 will have a hard time being better. Somehow, I think Datel will manage!
