Carla at DateSpot is great.

I was once a client of hers at a previous company years ago. So I was in her database as a potential match for clients.

Last year, she reached out with a long list of amazing women -- some I'd pay to see and some were already paying her to find men like me. Unfortunately, I was moving across the country, so the list only made so much sense, but even with that, someone on that list turned out to live where I was going! *And* it was someone in my network, knows my best friend from college, used to work where I worked.

We were introduced and hit it off. One of the most promising matches from a dating service I've had. Planning like date 6 right now.

The pricing model seems totally reasonable and superior to what seems to be (or was) the industry standard. Paying per specific match vs. a large minimum set of them. The people bitching about having to pay need to get realistic about the operating costs of a business like this, and about a great partner is worth to them (or not).

If you are male I would steer far and clear of this company. I'm convinced they are only in it for the money. The date they matched me with had no compatibility and lied about their interaction with me, to the point I question the match was in on it just to give them their check for the 1 match.

This company doesn't have the individuals best interest in mind.

I recently completed an interview with Carla at DateSpot. I provided a detailed set of requirements and an extensive personal bio, and she reviewed the material with the precision and efficiency of a seasoned project manager. After searching her database in real time, she was fully transparent: the current match pool was too small to justify taking me on as an active client. Instead of offering false hope, she outlined three practical options — remaining in the system as a passive candidate, checking back in six months, and allowing her to reach out to other matchmaking firms that might be a better fit. She also provided clear, actionable feedback on my profile photos.

In an industry where vague assurances are common, Carla’s directness and operational integrity stand out. She takes on clients only when she believes she can deliver meaningful results.

At first, i was thrilled to know that there matchmaker, that accepts LGBT people, international and also affordable! But then i've noticed how really greedy Carla is. Her scheme of paying per match, even if the person is wrong, just nonsense.

Even though i was a candidate, i just feel sorry for people who tried her Client's plan. Obligatory introduction call that costs 300$ it's just insane! Even millionaire matchmakers charge just 20-50$ for call! And you pay 700$ for each match, you are willing to date with! So, if for some reason the match is not fit - goodbye money.

I saw matchmakers that take much less that she and without such money sucking scheme. She even wants to make her free database cost money! She told me herself.

She also ignored my last emails, i asked her to be her client. And she never replied even from second time! And my email delivery system tells me that most probably she just banned my email address! For what? I didn't do anything, we had wonderful chats together last time!

And her fake smile and "Proud Mommy" complex, only add to her greediness and negligence to others and me.
