Best Event Magician 2023 – East Anglia Dave Royal is based in Norwich, Norfolk, and was tutored from the age of 15 years in the art of sleight of hand, stagecraft and business in entertainment by Professor Harry Carson, himself a Gold Star Member of the Inner Magic Circle. Dave Royal performs close up magic at weddings and private parties all over the UK, with emphasis on audience participation, comedy and laughter. Entertaining guests including HRH The Princess Royal, Lord and Lady Coke, The Duke and Duchess of Kent and Sir Samual Roberts, Dave Royal has performed close up magic in prestigious venues such as Holkham Hall, Cockley Cley Hall, The Savoy Hotel, The Grosvenor House Hotel in London and De Vere Hotels on a regular basis. Through his career, Dave Royal has had the privilege and pleasure of being invited on to the stage with Derren Brown, the late Paul Daniels and Ali Cook.

He is the perfect party entertainer and amused all of us from our youngest (19 months) to our oldest guest who was 93! Thank you Dave, your 'act' was the tops!

A magician that leaves you thinking wow
Have used David several times in the past. He is a fabulous magician who will always leave you thinking wow how did he do that. Have seen him do close up magic, stage magic and mind reading and would definitely recommend him. He is very friendly and will certainly make your event very memorable.

Dave the magician his BSL work
Dave is a very engaging magician and his close hand magic is amazing. I teacher British Sign Language (BSL), and taught Dave BSL. While he was learning he performed one of his magic sets completely in BSL.
I was very impressed with how smoothly Dave performed his magic and signed to his audience. Everybody in the room understood the magic and what they needed to do when asked to take part. Dave perfectly combined BSL and magic to engage and amaze the audience. His set was excellent as always.

Dave Royal close up magic is phenomenal
Dave Royal has hosted many gatherings including Weddings, celebratory birthdays and Christmas work functions that I have been to, all have been a huge success. It's not all card tricks, his close up magic is phenomenal; it doesn't matter how close I get I still can't work out how he's done the trick!
