Late last year I used DB Automotive for the second and final time. I leased a Mercedes A Class hybrid which I opted to upgrade with a number of different parts.
Front Grill - incorrect front grill added to the car.
Black badges - badges were poorly applied to the car and in less than 24 hours they started to come off.
Upgraded alloys - I was told the incorrect price for the chosen alloys and wasn’t made aware of the price increase until the deposit was due. Weeks had gone by at this point and we were desperate for a car.
Charging port - incorrect information was provided regarding which type of charging port was needed for the car. When questioned on this they were adamant about incorrect information- we trusted them as they are supposed to know what they are doing.
Handles - our door handles were supposed to the black, they even showed us a picture of a car with black handles before delivery. When the car arrived the handles were chrome - it looks awful.
Throughout the process communication was dreadful. Junior staff constantly getting stuff wrong and management to busy to reach.
We needed the car delivered due to not having another car and the delivery date kept changing. They delivered the car on the latest possible date we shared - probably knowing we wouldn’t be in a position to turn the car down. The car was delivered at 7am, and there was no one to speak to about the issues so we were forced to accept the car from the delivery company and told to take the issues up with DB.
When we tried to do that DB refused to take ownership of any of the problems creating a bunch of excuses.
They also refused to provide a replacement car for them to fix the issues they caused knowing we only have one car.
Don’t trust them. Don’t use them. Don’t waste your time or money.
