Don’t be taken in like I was! Debbies Dresses is not in the US and everything ships from China. It takes weeks for an order to arrive and if the size is wrong you have to take a picture with a measuring tape and the label before you get any return information. Then you have to pay to ship it back to China, so don’t fall for this company like I did!

I ordered a dress from Debbies Dresses, and when i got it- it was too small.....As for the return policy, they would ONLY refund 5% of the cost OR would charge triple for the shipping to return it! nice choices huh? This companies headquarters is in Illinois, and they are NOW fudging on whether they will agree to the
5%......

Lesson learned! This company tries to suggest that it’s a local company with a local name, it’s anything but! It is low and material and low and quality coming directly from China! They do not have a return policy, so you’re stuck with whatever you purchased, that was advertised as something completely different. This is a horrible company and horrible customer service, Serious lesson learned and I will buy in the USA from now on! The quality is so bad that they could not pay me to keep this, which is probably why they advertise as though they are a local shop. I hope they don’t fool too many other people.

The dress in the picture looks nothing like the piece of cheap crap I received. This Company is definitely a scam. I wouldn't give this dress away, and now you can't return it because it would cost more than I paid for it to ship to, of course CHINA. Where the 5 year olds no doubt sewed and put this dress together. The stiching is very cheaply done, the material looks like cheap sheet material. I will never purchase another thing from Debbies again. I would feel bad giving this dress away.

Waited 3+ weeks for my dress to come. No tag, no size on the dress. It was way too big and low quality, I have written 5 times to customer service and send pictures. Requested a return and refund, they did not respond. I even mentioned that I would put this status on a review, no response. Guess they just don’t care!!

I ordered the Emelia dress in black, size 2xl. Since I've lost weight, I'm more of an XL so expected it to be slightly loose. The sleeves were uncomfortably tight and the bodice is too small, so the dress doesn't hang right. There's no hem and no turned edges, just a serged edge in contrasting white thread. Paying for shipping to China makes no sense financially. So I've lost out.

The fabric is gross and whatever size you order may or not actually be that size. I ordered 3 of the same dress and one fit, the other was not a dress but a shirt and the other was at least 2 sizes too small even though it had the correct size on it. I ordered another 3 dresses. One fit, the others were also 2 sizes too small and the one dress that fit, wasn't sewn on the shoulder.

The items are a knock-off of the pictured items. Cheap polyester. I won't be using them or buying again. Doesn't even have the features of the item modeled.

I placed my order on July 1st and received my order on July 25th. I ordered 4 items. I’m keeping 2 items, although they are cheaply made items. I wanted to return 2 items. One item was supposed to be a medium, but was a size small, if not extra small. The second item was misrepresented in the catalog photo. It appeared fitted, but was just a huge shift. I asked to return the two items, but received a long email stating in summary, it wouldn’t be worth it to me. I didn’t realize the items had to be returned to CHINA! I advised Debbies Dresses I will accept a 20% credit to my account. I have no intention of doing business with this company ever again.

UPDATED REVIEW - Horrible, horrible experience. Cheap poorly made dresses made from shower curtain material. Complete inability to contact company. Only way to get a response is to file case via Paypal. Company will not respond to you, but they will to Paypal, and only provide a return shipping address in Chinese, not English. Costs as much to ship items back as it did to buy them to begin with. They do not give you a 30 day guarantee either. That is a lie they put on their website. When they do finally respond to Paypal they give you a week to get the items back to them, which is impossible since you are shipping to China. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

I ordered 2 dresses. One was so short it ought to be a blouse. The other one was so poorly made and the neck line went nearly to my belly and the waist was too high. Both were made out of cheap material. I am donating them, since maybe someone can do something with them.

I ordered a dress, it took weeks to arrive, which surprised me because I thought they were in the USA, because that is what they advertise. It was even in a "made in the USA" printed bag when I received it. The fabric and colors were nothing like the pictures and the fit was too small even though I used their measurements. Also the tie at the collar had one side off, never stitched. So of course I wanted a refund, because they also advertise full refund for any reason. It would have cost almost as much as the dress to return it. Everything about this is wrong! Oh I have ordered several dresses off Amazon from China, all have been well made and fit, lovely actually, and half as much as this scam. Unfortunately there seems to be nothing I can do, so I'm just hoping people dig deeper on reviews before ordering.

2nd UPDATE: The BBB sent me notification that this company is saying "it is out of business." Out of business?? They're selling millions of these rag dresses to unwitting US customers!

UPDATE: For those wanting to file a complaint- you can file on the BBB website. I just did. I googled Jerry 001 Yas and it came up as active with multiple complaints as scams and frauds. I had the opportunity to add a complaint from there.

Listen up ladies: these dresses are NOT made in the US as stated; the company “Debbie’s Dresses” is NOT “closing” or going out of business!! This is a marketing SCAM. My packages both came from Jerry Y. in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Yes, it took 3 weeks for them to get to Jerry from China so he could mail them to me.
So why can’t items be returned to Jerry instead of CHINA???
The dresses I received are of poor quality, strangely sized ( the chest is very small), and literally NOT what I saw on the website. Very disappointing. It’s a perfect example of bait & switch.
I’m contacting PayPal for some help with this.

I’ve never written a review like this, but people need to be warned.

I ordered two dresses from Debbie’s Dresses, believing it was a U.S.-based company as clearly advertised on their website. What I received weeks later were two cheap, poorly made dresses that look nothing like the photos—thin fabric, bad stitching, awful fit.

When I contacted the company for a refund, they offered me a 20% refund unless I paid out of pocket to ship the items back to China—something that was never disclosed before purchase.

What’s worse? I discovered the original shipping label was from China, but it was covered up by a U.S. shipping label from California—clearly a tactic to mislead customers into thinking they’re buying from the U.S.

This company is engaging in deceptive business practices:

Misrepresenting their location

Hiding true shipping origins

Refusing to honor their stated 30-day return policy

Trapping customers with partial refund offers and unreasonable return demands

Do not trust this company. Do not give them your money. They are deliberately misleading customers, and they should be held accountable.

I’m so disappointed. I paid attention to their sizing chart, read the reviews and ordered a dress which I really like but cannot wear as too tight in chest. Basically there is no return policy as the consumer has to pay all shipping, etc. so they are giving me 10% as a consolation. Be sure you absolutely know it will fit and that you’ll like it before you order!

If you want to return your items they give you the runaround. Basically they don’t want you to return anything and do not give you return instructions. Instead they try to convince you to keep their merchandise and they offer a partial refund. Not worth keeping dresses that don’t fit. I have been corresponding with them for over a week and have gotten nowhere. They are a SCAM.

The fabric is very cheap, the sleeves are too tight, and the return policy is terrible - I paid almost 90 for something that will cost $30 to return. DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS. SCAM. I have seen other say to watch your credit card, but so far mine is ok. Their deceptive FB ads make it look like a US company, but everything comes from "Asia" - not even an exact place in Asia is given. I'm very disappointed, but I should have known better.

Just received dress in XL. No way this is true to size. Could hardly pull it over my head and got one arm in. I thought they sewed the second arm in wrong but just way too small! Very cheaply made—not like their description which is why I ordered. Leaving on trip in a week so don’t have time to return it and their customer service is impossible to reach! Extremely disappointed in this product!!!

Cost me 20.00-40.00 to ship it back and the dress was 40.00. Soooo annoying. Wish I would’ve read the reviews before ordering. If I knew I was getting SHEIN products I wouldn’t have ordered anything.
