Dinogo greeted me with an intuitive, user-friendly app - finding flights and hotels in just a few taps. The AI travel assistant was a handy companion, offering personalized recommendation that made trip planning fast and easy!

I read tons of negative comments about it. Nevertheless, I decided to try. The sum was so attractive there. It was a bit spOOOky to book there. So, I found the room I needed with a cool price. It was risky, but I got the mail with the confirmation.

Useless dinogo.. never booked. Almost did honestly because of the deal. Which made it a few bucks cheaper then other companies.

48 hours before I was scheduled to check into a Sheraton Los Angeles hotel I booked through Dinogo, they emailed me with an "URGENT" notification that the hotel "won’t be operational during the booked period due to its closure, so unfortunately this reservation cannot be honored under original booked conditions." I called the Sheraton, and they said they never had a reservation listed under my name.

They offered to book me in an alternative hotel nearby, but with my check-in time rapidly approaching, they never provided a firm confirmation that the alternative room had been secured, and when I called the other hotel, they had no reservation under my name.

I've requested a full refund, and in fairness to Dinogo, they said they would provide a full refund. But I still believe they should have notified me of this change long ago, not 48 hour prior to check-in.

It’s a scam! Buyer beware!!! It all appears to be legit including the customer service. They tell you can’t have a refund because the booking has already been made. When I called the hotel directly on 3 different occasions, there was no booking and the confirmation code wasn’t even one the hotel used. Plus the hotel we booked is closing its doors the day we get there! They are a CON JOB!!

There are plenty of bad reviews here, but I gave them a shot anyway. After paying I immediately received a confirmation (of payment? or something else?) but it was about 6 hours later when I received a second confirmation email. I wasn't sure if any of it was legitimate so I emailed the hotel I'd booked and asked if they'd received any bookings under my name, which they confirmed.

The process is a bit unintuitive and the system is definitely slow.. (6 hours between payment and confirmation? a bit risky if you ask me), but I'd just booked a cheap hotel, away from the main city. I imagine you could have problems if you were booking for a big public holiday at a popular destination.

4/5 because their "instant confirmation" is quite misleading

I read the reviews on Trustpilot and got very nervous. The Dinogo room quote was about half the cost of the other booking websites and the hotel direct quote. I chatted with Dinogo, and I called the hotel where I wanted to book who gave me an amorphous warning about on-line booking about scams.

Not feeling very confident, I decided to go ahead with the booking anyway because there were two rooms available at this price, and at the worst, I was confident Dinogo are not thieves and I would get a refund.

What happened? The room was available, the booking went through successfully, it was a great deal and a great experience with Dinogo.

The reviews are very negative on this website, but this was not my experience at all. Dinogo are probably like all the other sites of this kind, not better or worse, but a lot less expensive in what it offers.

I booked a hotel back in November for New Years Eve in Las Vegas. I was emailed a confirmation when I booked. Days before I checked my booking on their website and it still showed active. When I arrived at the hotel, there was no reservation. Dinogo customer service was quick to reply through chat... only to tell me that there were no available rooms and my booking had been canceled. They claimed they had emailed me a notification, but I checked through my inbox and my spam folder... I definitely never received one. All they would do was give me a refund... which I'm only hoping actually comes through. For now, my wife and I are stranded in Vegas, on New Years Eve, forced to pay more elsewhere for a last minute hotel.

I placed an order with them and they immediately told me they had overbooked and would have to refund me. But then they didn't refund me and took my money. I am currently disputing it. BUYER BEWARE!

Made a booking for a hotel through this company and paid for it. Went to my hotel today to find they had no record of the booking. To be fair they have now refunded me but did not give me any notice that they couldnt make the booking causing a lot of inconvenience.

Totally useless company. Lie about what they do ..it's a Chinese company and they will rip you off.if you want a refund you are lucky to get get it and you have to go through your bank ..they also do an exchange rate so if you are fortunate to get any money back you will loose lots on exchange. Steer away.

Dinogo is a NO GO! Avoid avoid avoid!!! This is a scam site to take your money only to tell you that the room is no longer available and then tell you a refund will be processed within 24hrs. It's been 3 days and unfortunately I think I've lots my money. Do NOT trust this site. I'll be filing with by bank.

Hotel gebucht. Email bekommen, dass das Hotel bereits ausgebucht sei. Hauptsache alle meine Daten sind jetzt bei diesem Mist-Unternehmen und dem Zahlungsdienstleister.

They confirmed my hotel booking and took my payment. 30 minutes later they emailed me, saying the room i booked was not avilable after all, and that they will refund my money. Same procedure as with Kiwi, who takes your money and makes you work as hell to get a refund, even though they sold you a non-existing service. Never again - avoid them (and Kiwi travel)! Btw: My trust in Google (Maps) keeps getting lower for every scam company they link to. "Do good"?

I placed an order 6 weeks ago and paid for, haven't received my product, they keep saying will follow up, there has been nothing and no refund, so unhappy that I have been caught in this scam.

Do not use - shouldn’t even be included in google maps meta search. I booked because it was the best price, 2 days later I contacted them to ask if the reservation at the hotel was confirmed. And they said they’ll refund me on Monday when the accountant is back … ?? WHAT?!

Honestly if I could give a negative number for this review like -5, I would. This company is fraud. Do not give them your money- listen to the reviews!!! Total fraud. Website looks all good and legitimate but they are absolutely not.

Dinigo was offering the best price on a hotel I was looking at using Google Maps. I booked, paid, and eight minutes later got by email "We regret to inform you that the [...] hotel is fully booked. [...] we have issued a refund to you immediately." They did refund me, but it took three days longer than the charge to my visa, and only after days thinking I'd been scammed (after reading reports of others’ experience on this site) and much wasted time trying to report them to google.

Takeways:
- I guess they bid to secure a booking at the lowest price and frequently don't get it - I guess if you absolutely must get the lowest price you could take the risk, but you risk locking money up out of reach if it fails, possibly jeopardising a further booking attempt. But why would you want the hassle? The need is for speed and *certainty* at a reasonably good price - Dinigo don't seem to understand that - maybe they should be up-front that they are bidding and that there is a possibility they might have to rebid at a higher price? No harm if price doesn't go above peer booker prices.
- always use a payment method where they will reimburse you if it all goes wrong
- finding where to complain on google defeated (60mins of wasted time - worthy of a separate complaint!), so I think complaining via a consumers association would have more luck (and they might already be more familiar with where to complain with google).

I rebooked with Agoda straight away and got a reasonable price. Later in the day, Dinigo were still in the list of hotel bookers but offering the room for €4 more.
