This company is a scam, not recommended at all

I don’t recommend anyone to work with Direct-dispatch.com, this company seems to be in a very bad financial situation, it’s a big risk for your car. Here what happened to me. The full story:

I made an request on the website clearly mentioning Calabasas CA to Anchorage AK. I received a written quote #12162 at $1378 mentioning “Calabasas” to “Anchorage”. I accepted their offer at a rate of $1378 and paid the amount immediately. Another company sent me an offer for the same transport at an amount of $2405. It’s because I decided to use Direct-Dispatch.

They did not pick up my car at the right date, but approx. 1 week later. Then the car was moved from Calabasas CA to Kent WA. It was possible to see the progress on the website. But after 1 week, I had some worries about the delay and I investigated why this car was frozen in Kent. I found out that Direct-Dispatch DID NOT PAY ITS DRIVER. The driver was working for a partner of Direct-Dispatch, Company Rainier Transport LLC. And as he was not paid by Direct-Dispatch, he decided to freeze the car at his home until the payment is done.

I started to communicate with Direct-Dispatch during 1 week. Every single day, always the same Mr Mike (I guess this company is based on 1 employee only, believe me) promised me to send the wire to the driver, then promising a urgent wire TT, then he promised to go by himself, cross the road and deposit the amount in cash onto the driver’s account… so ridiculous! But no payment was done by Direct-Dispatch in 1 full week.

I had to send someone in emergency from another company in Anchorage to Kent, in order to pay cash the amount due by Direct-Dispatch to the driver, $762. And then my car was handled by this new forwarder who additionally invoiced me more than $3200, due to the urgent situation. The car arrived 2 days later, which costed me another $2000 loss.

After a very difficult communication with Direct-Dispatch, always with the only guy who takes all calls, Mr Mike. No matter your choice at the unified messaging, you can chose carrier rating, dealership account, transport a vehicle, vehicle damages or billing, all depts are managed by Mr Mike. This guy should be like Superman. Direct-Dispatch finally confirmed by email that they accept to refund me, but only $1378. They refused to take in charge the damage and the over cost. But the payment was never sent by them. I tried to email them 88 times, I tried to call them more than 50 times, they even don’t take the call anymore, I just reach an answering. The last time I could reach them, it was Mr Mike again… who transferred my call to the accounting dept. After 30 minutes with the music, the call was broken.

Really, hands away from this bad company. It’s just a scam. I lost more than $5000 because of them. Steve +41794111111

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I had an awful experience with this company around 6 months ago. We used them regularly for the last 2 years, transporting trucks for our dealership. About 6 months ago I scheduled a pickup for a vehicle we had purchased for a friend out of Ohio. We scheduled the pickup and even paid extra for it to be as quick as possible. I got nothing but the run around from multiple employees who said they were dispatching the vehicle. After over a week of them telling me the vehicle had been picked up, I called the auction and found out the vehicle was still present on the lot. They lied to me, kept holding me off and it wasn't until 2 weeks later that I finally got the vehicle picked up. I had it out with one of the employees on the phone and I swore I'd never use them again. Well here we are now, I have a customer in Michigan who asked if we'd transport something for them, unbeknownst to me my business partner scheduled a pickup with direct dispatch for our customer. They quoted us a price that was fair and guaranteed pickup for friday December 22nd or saturday the 23rd. It was explained that the driver would pick up the truck one of those two days and that dropoff would be a little delayed due to the christmas holiday and the driver wanted to spend a day with his family, we were completely accommodating and understood and accepted that. We were asked to put a $150 deposit on the transport, we asked if we could decline that option and the dispatch said thats fine, its just required on pickup. We received a phone call saturday stating the driver had "broken down" (transport slang for, Im late).... we waited and waited for the pickup on saturday and heard nothing, as we attempted to contact the company by multiple routes of phone calls, emails, inquiries, facebook messages, we got nothing but silence. It is now wednesday December 27th and we have yet to be successful in making contact with this company, nor have they reached out to us. I'm so happy that we didnt pay the $150 deposit because they could've kept that and just ignored us. What doesn't make sense is this "business" is allowed to collect deposits on their transports and if the customer fails to complete the transaction they can keep that deposit...but as for us on the customer side, there is no recourse that we have but to file this complaint. We now have a customer who is completely upset with us and this company and it's making our 5 star customer satisfaction look like sewage trash. Unbelievable how a company can disregard their customers like this without as much as a simple phone call. I will never use this company again, and they'll be missing out on the 100's of vehicles we transport each year. I will also urge others in my industry to refrain from using them as well. Merry Christmas Direct Dispatch, I hope your shady business actions find you well in the new year as you lose customers due to this review!

No different from any other shady car shipping company

You might as well just open up a UShip auction and hope for the best there, it'll still be some random guy in a truck with like a 12 hour delivery window, but at least you might save some money.

This company is especially funny though because they send you an email with the details of the delivery, including a little map with the route from pickup to drop-off. The email also says "Communication is key...You'll receive a phone call, email or text message during each phase of the shipping process. You'll know when your carrier is headed your way, when he's in-transit and the expected delivery window."

Not a single one of those things happened. When I contacted the driver asking when the car would be dropped off since I had to go to the garage I'm renting to meet him, he said 11 am. At 12:30 when he wasn't there I called and he said it would be here around 4 and that he was in Iowa. The car was coming from Virginia to Chicago, Iowa was nowhere to be found in the route I was given in the email. It's now 5:15 and the car is 140 miles away and will presumably be here....sometime? Not sure.

Great service

I shipped my vehicle with them and it got picked up the very next day, I had no inconvenience with the price because it was even less than what it was quoted to me. Once my vehicle got to the port they handled all the paperwork with professionalism and quickness.

This company will take your money and your car!

I don’t recommend anyone to work with Direct-dispatch.com, this company seems to be in a very bad financial situation, it’s a big risk for your car. Here what happened to me. The full story:

Company has communication issues, but will work with you to make it right if you can connect with someone with authority.

Here is a copy of the email I sent to Direct Dispatch this morning (5/11/2017). Will let everyone know how it goes....

When I first used Direct Dispatch (May of 2016), everything was fine. The driver picked my car up within the two day window and the price was the same that was quoted. This is the basic expectation of customer service.

This winter (January 2017), it took two weeks to get my car and the price went up $150. I accepted this because there were weather/road issues and my car battery had died due to the extreme cold in Minnesota. Obviously, these conditions do NOT apply in May. I was also told I could have the additional price adjusted through "accounting." However, an "accounting" representative was either NEVER available and they did not return phone calls.

So this spring when I called about having my car brought back to MN from Texas, your representative told me to "commit within the next half hour" so I could get the quoted price of $703, which I did. This of course precluded me from continuing my search for another carrier.

Two days ago (when my car was not picked up as originally promised), I was told the price would now be $763. When I protested I was told I could request an "adjustment" by contacting "accounting," but ONLY after my car was delivered. This appears to be a deliberate scheme to make any adjustments impracticable to the extent that most customers will simply give up and not pursue it due to the inconvenience.

Today, I received an email saying my car had been picked up and the price is now $818! As far as I am concerned, there was a valid, enforceable contract for the originally quoted $703 and my commitment to ship with Direct Dispatch. When I called your representative (who had no authority to adjust the price), I was told I had to pay the full price and then "haggle" for an adjustment with "accounting"--the same accounting who (as I was informed) was CLOSED Thursday and Friday (so NO ONE would likely be available when my car was delivered) and NEVER returns phone calls. In essence, my car will be held hostage for the higher price. This is a classic "bait and switch" which is tantamount to fraud and extortion.

If Direct Dispatch does not honor the price originally quoted, I will report this incident to the Federal Trade Commission and Attorneys General in the states of Minnesota, Texas, and Florida. Additionally, I will post this incident on Yelp, Angie's List, and any other online consumer rating platform, so others do not get screwed.

If you do not respond to this email, I will presume that you intend to honor the contract and pay the carrier the agreed contract price of $703 upon delivery of my Lexus.

* * * * * Addendum * * * * * *
As promised, here is an update on what the company did to resolve this issue after I sent this email and posted my initial review:

When I received a notice that my car had been picked up and the price had gone up over $100, I sent the foregoing email. I also spoke with Mike (the main dispatcher who I dealt with most of the time), who was always polite and understanding through this entire ordeal, although he didn't have authority to adjust pricing. I told Mike if they had not already picked up the car, I would have canceled.

Then my friend (who had the car) called and told me the car had not been picked up. So I called Mike again and asked him why he told me the care had been picked up. Mike called the driver directly. apparently there was some kind of technical glitch and he confirmed that the car had not been picked up.

Mike did connect me with the driver, who had been told a different price than I had. Told the driver I was going to cancel, not his fault, and I appreciated hearing his side of the situation. Then I received a call from someone named Jason. Jason is apparently either a general manager or a company co-owner. Although Jason was hostile at first, he agreed to honor the originally quoted price.

Had to make sure everyone was on the same page (driver, Jason and Mike) through a couple more phone calls, but my car was delivered at the agreed price today. Have to give Mike kudos for having the patience of Job through this whole thing.

The bottom line with Direct Dispatch is that they will do the job right for you, but you need to stay on top of all your communications with them. If they change the price on you without notice, insist to speak with a manager--do NOT let them funnel you to "accounting."

For the foregoing reasons, I am changing my initial rating from a 1 to a 3.

Not very reliable. Avoid if possible.

During the summer, I made arrangements to ship my car to Florida. The rep names Brandon assured me that they had their own fleet and that was why they could offer such a good price. I got my confirmation and looked forward to shipping the car in December. I called a week or so early to check on the status and find out the name of the driver. Mike said that the car was scheduled to go out late on December 7. I called several days later and was assured that all was set, and I would be receiving an email when the pickups began.
On the morning of December 7 I received an email from Direct Dispatch and from Damon of 1904 Transportation who would be picking up the car. Damon's email stated that I would receive a call from the driver soon. At 7 PM having not received a call from the Driver, I called Damon. He was a bit surprised and said he would look into it. I asked him to call me back. He did not nor did he respond to a phone message I left later. I called the next morning, and it was then that Damon informed me that no one would be coming to pick up my car and that he was only a facilitator and could not (or would not, my words) help me. He said I should call a real transport company with a DOT number, and that Direct Dispatch only sent leads out to various companies. I tried calling Direct Dispatch, but it seems there system was down and Mike said he could do nothing. I asked for a call back from someone who could help. Never happened. So there was no "satisfaction guaranteed" as stated on their web site, nor "a carrier you can trust as written on their confirmation. I was lucky enough to get a local company who could take the car immediately, but for 325.00 more that I was quoted by Direct Dispatch. Still have not heard back from them.

Unprofessional, lies and a complete waste of valuable time.

Avoid. Joke of a company. Begs you for your business, says THEY ARE the trucking company, not a broker. Tells you vehicle will be picked up 1-2 days. A week later, the car is still sitting there. Called and was told "driver will be picking car up in 2 hours", then nothing. Called the next day and then told "driver will call you this afternoon". Nope. Thanks for wasting a week of my time, the car should have been here by now.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! UNRELIABLE!!!!!

Made arrangements and was confirmed that the driver would meet my husband at 10:00 this morning as he had to rent a car and had a 6 hour drive ahead of him. The Direct-Dispatch driver never showed up, we received no call, and when we tried reaching their office, it just goes to voice mail. We were told that the number we were given would go directly to the driver. This is a total lie!!!! My husband had a six (6) hour drive to make and waited till after 3 p.m. for a response. He finally left the keys with the dealer where the truck was parked, and headed out. We have made at least a dozen calls to Direct Dispatch, a chat room message, email, and Facebook posting. STILL NO RESPONSE! This company is absolutely unreliable and a joke! DO NOT USE!!!!!

Terribly Unreliable

This was the first time I ever dealt with a transport company. They were recommended to me so I went with them. They called right after I went online and asked for a quote. Awesome! They quoted me pretty low which was great. After I told them I have no idea when the car would need to be picked up, they said it was fine and just let them know when it was ready...AND they would hold my quote. Sweet... but then the problems.

I called on a Friday told them when I would like the car to be picked up. They told me that Tuesday would not be a problem at all and that I would get a call from the driver on Monday. Monday came, no call. Tuesday I called and asked what the deal was. I was told, oh the driver will pick the car up Wednesday morning and I would get a call later that evening from the driver.

Strangely, the dealership called and said they got a call from the driver. Ok whatever. They told them they were picking up the car in the morning. Cool. The next morning the carrier showed up... BUT THEY WERE NOT THERE FOR MY CAR. They came to get a totally different car. WOW REALLY! I called them again and they told me a transport would come get the car later that afternoon.... you can guess what happened. No transport, no service, no car for me.

My suggestion, pay a bit extra for a company that will deliver. Avoid Direct Dispatch.

very unprofessional at every step of the way

They called me immediately after I put an inquiry on the internet.. They are obviously paying a premium for the leads they get which is fine by me.The guy who called me gave me a good quote but lied that they were a direct transporter.....THEY ARE JUST ANOTHER AGENT.

I had several calls with them to establish when the car was going to be picked up and despite assurances that it would be a couple of days it was a week before the vehicle eventually arrived.
I sent them the gate pass for the auction location and told them REPEATEDLY THAT THE DRIVER NEEDED IT IN PAPER FORM TO BE ALLOWED TO PICK UP THE CAR.Sure enough they failed to send it to the driver. All the telephone numbers they gave me for the driver were not connected The first driver cried off
They then got another one and despite assurances of a time for delivery they arrived hours later and then went to the wrong address as they had been given the wrong address,
The driver managed to allow the car to fall of the platform and banged the base of the car whilst reversing it to the street.

OVERALL A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END
