I had a problem with my pump. The plumber had said i would need to have it repair or buy a new pump. you see it was working but just not as well as it did when we got it nearly 9 years ago. I rang Domestics Pumps and Peter answered and he helped me fixed it there and then. The service was amazing and i am very grateful. Peter was very patient and friendly. I will used this company again.

The pump in my immersion was cycling and I engaged this company to fix it. What a joke! They wasted my time by having to call multiple times to my home, didn't fix it and took part of my original pump without asking me. My guess is they recondition pumps like my old one and put them into other peoples homes!!! This is probably why the job they do doesn't work. I had disrespectful, unprofessional and aggressive experiences with staff. They abandoned the job before completing. When I complained about the behaviour to management I could see where the real issue was stemming from because they were even worse to deal with. Me threatening them with court action was the final stage of our interaction. Do yourself a favour and hire a plumber. Don't cut corners by hiring this company. You're likely to regret it if you do. A plumber is likely to cost more but it's worth it in the long run.

In response to George's response: I stand over everything I've said in my original post. George's response is littered with gaslighting and word salad. They did indeed put a pump in my home, a reconditioned one that didn't fix the problem. They didn't arrive at my home on our last scheduled appointment or have the courtesy to contact me about that. Just left me high and dry! When I called their office to address that I was verbally abused by an aggressive employee who would not refer my call to the owner. Beyond unprofessional! Later George wrote me a lengthy WhatsApp message similar to the one he has written here that manipulates the truth entirely for his benefit. In the end I annihilated his points with the truth and told him I would take him to court which is why he chose to reimburse me but I was still left with the problem and their used pump instead of my own. Buyer beware! Get yourself a trained plumber instead of dealing with these cowboys.

George has sent me a text today (25/09/2024) on WhatsApp informing me he is contacting his legal team over my Trustpilot review. This is threatening behaviour and known as coercive control. Yet another reason for you to not engage their services!

George here has corrected my use of technical language saying they replaced a vessel and not a pump. I stand corrected on that but everything else I experienced is true for me (25/09/2024).

The people who work there couldn't be nicer. I was supposed to travel on Monday morning to pick up a pump, but my dog had to be put done in very unfortunate circumstances. I called and ask if I could pay over the phone to make sure that the pump I needed didn't sell in the meantime. The lovely gentleman ( whose name I can't remember for the life of me) wouldn't let me pay, he said that he'd put it aside for me and to come when I felt better, he was so kind and comforting over the phone. When I went to pick up the pump and gave him my name, he gave me a huge hug and again, was so so nice and helpful. The whole team was very sympathetic and kind. The gentleman even threw in a few extra things that went with the pump because I didn't have a clue what was needed and I wasn't in a state to worry about it. I haven't had the pump fitted yet, but I know that it'll be great. I can't recommend them enough nor thank them enough for the pure kindness that they all showed me. Thank you. You're a credit to the business 👏

Rang Domestic Pumps on Wednesday at 13:00. Spoke to Peter who was very helpful and customer focused.
I explained my problem with my Stuart Turner Monsoon Pump.
Peter explained the fees to bring it in for repair or to have a Service Call.
I opted for the Service Call. The next day, I received a call from Kevin the Engineer to say he would be at our house around 10:15. Kevin called at the forecasted time. He was very pleasant and explained what was causing the problem and the replacement part that was required.
The job was completed by 11:00.
All in all, from the initial phone call to having my issue resolved, it took 22 hours. No drama, no BS. Just professional individuals offering a great customer service.
I would highly recommend.
UPDATE:
I experienced another issue with my pump. Once again I contacted Domestic Pumps and spoke to George. He said he would ask Kevin the Engineer to call the following day. Kevin rang in advance of his call, to ensure I was home. He had the pump up and running again, as before, with no drama or BS. Just a high technical competentcy, coupled with excellent customer care skills. Greatly appreciated as before...
