A nightmare to use.
Virtually no customer service other than the installer.
Retest usually every 5 minutes!
Switched to LifeSafer, a big improvement.

Intermittently recognizes samples. This has occurred with multiple handsets clearly a design flaw. Causes driver distraction to constantly provide a sample which it hails to recognize. This occurs while drivers are in the act of driving which is also a dangerous act to provide a sample while you are in the act of driving. Compare to texting and driving.

This company is not US based
I could go on forever about this company. Im asking for help, if anyone here has gotten help with a lawyer, please give me details. Patricia

This is ridiculous its nearly caused me to have three accidents because the car stalled and there was a truck bearing down at me and I couldn't start my car then it's cost me extra 100 dollars for eating my dinner a pizza locked me out for 30 minutes so rest of the family had cold pizza extra 100 dollars for leaving car running whilst I cashed in scrap metal and all this has happened in 3 months dangerous and stupid idea just so government can cash in something should be done to remove these from law

So I guess road guard and draeger are the same shit hole so here my experience got my device installed on May 11 of 2023 my first month got locked out of my vehicle because they never sent me a schedule for calibration after I called all week while the thing was counting down so come May 11 2024 go for final download and thy hit me with I gotta include June 16 because I got locked out at no fault of my own so I did it I thought what's one more month not knowing that my license expired on the 6th of June so come June 16th go for my final download send it in takes till August 28th 2024 to get a response and I was denied cuz my license was expired so get it fixed at the grat price of 400$ let them know it was renewed the got hit with 120 days more for the expired license did that come January 19th did another final download and got a response in 3 days denied again because my license was expired from June 6th 2024 till September 11th 2024 so got extended twice pretty much call my lawyer for them to get in touch with them because that's nonsense but of course nothing happened I got to do it so please people please go with a different company this place is literal garbage they don't want nothing but your money just bad stuff bad business so for my first DUI I would have done 2 years 4 months with a device in my vehicle and paying $170 every month for calibration and then $150 for SR-22 insurance stay far away from this place

Hello. The first thing is it is so hard to reach someone. I wait about an hour every time I call. My biggest problem is 3 different occasions I received a letter from the Security of State saying my license was taken away because I missed appointments. I have never missed an appointment. So I would have to write a letter to the court, get documents, call you guys and try to get it fixed before I had to go to court. The last is it would send me txt messages saying I owe a late fee. I would have to call and someone would always say "they imputed it incorrectly". And again every time I called I wait about an hour to actually talk to someone. The way to the Stephenson hwy location so you guys could fix it. I would not recommend your company to anyone. It made what already was a stressful situation even worse.

My interlock has distracted me while driving in some pretty hairy situations in the rain, road works, at intersections etc....., when it beeps its a distraction especially when driving bumper to bumper and you don't have somewhere to pull over to take the test you can't just stop in the middle of the road and take a test so you must drive one handed while blowing and then sucking a handheld device in the middle of peak hour traffic whats the difference between that and driving with your mobile phone in your hand. It always feels the need to test my breath regularly as soon as I arrive home, hesitantly I switch my key off after a long day only for my horn to blast my eardrums as well as everyone else around me. It creates unnecessary stress for me and everyone around. one day it just kept failing the test telling me to suck longer after I just gave it everything i had, so i put my hand through my windscreen with the handset in my hand while i was driving 100km/h.
1 week from getting it removed and its going to cost me around $344 to get removed because of all the associated costs so if my period gets extended ill be paying more after that, every time they need to download the information i spend at least $50 just on petrol getting there,. On a Friday that's all i want to do is get the heck out of the car relax but instead it feels the need to test me as i arrive home giving me one more thing to think about causing me to forget about my keys and then my key is left on for the whole weekend, boom its Monday 530 start, oh wait my batteries dead, I got a violation cant get to work have to pay 50 bucks and take another day off to get it resolved. once the device is removed I'm turning my van into a chicken coupe so that I never have to give an arm or a leg to Draeger or any other organization profiting from peoples despair, idk where you get your pricing from a breathalyzer you can get as cheap as $5 yet draeger interlock costs over $1000. I wish i decided to go without my license for 3 years instead because I wouldn't have this hatred towards who ever came up with this. going to prison for a year would be a holiday compared to breaking your back in the sun working to pay for an interlock,
some overpaid so called intelligent people came up with this idea and its only going to take someone to lose their life for it to be abolished.

The Auto electrician failed to install the device correctly, so that it repeatedly malfunctioned. We were not aware of this until after our first download were a number of violations were recorded. At our own expense the car had to be returned to remedy this, but ignition problems contiued. The stress and anxiety that this caused my wife was unjustified.
Draeger were contacted but refused to respond to our concerns. It appears all of these interlock companies treat their customers with contempt. Happy to take your money but keep their head in the sand when it comes to a problem. Then there is the rort of making you continue to pay for the device when you no londer are required to have it fitted. They remove it at their leisure and your expense.
This is an issue that you should take up with your local member of parliment and have these despicable companies held to account and made to conduct themselves in a proper manner. They cause too much unnecessary pain and suffering.

I was supposed to have my interlock out in may. Of course it violated me a month before for .03. Then it started 2 minutes later. My wife is a teetotaler and don’t drink at all. I said she blew a .06 and was .000 2 minutes later. The hearings examiner has dismissed and found us not at fault either time. I think there should be a way to take them to small claims court and sue for lost wages, mental anguish, and harassment. I have to meet in Portsmouth to get mine calibrated at the liquor store of all places. And have had my machine taken out and replace one time and now I have to again this month due to malfunction. I have been on three different occasions lately where I had to takeoff work and got all the way to Portsmouth and they were not able to recalibrate it, I was told to come back next Thursday, which made me late and have to pay a late fee. This has happened three times now. How convenient for roadguard /Dreager. I hear now the tech says they are bought out by smart start. It seems to me the state of New Hampshire as well as other state's reps need to investigate and see if the source code is set to fail before its time to talks it out. I am going to take this as far as I have to go legally. I cannot get my hands on the contract I signed because the technician quit. I have had mine over a year and months. It was only supposed to be a year. It malfunctions once a month very close to time to get it downloaded and out of my car. I am sober 6 years now. I have done my time. This is becoming increasingly clear it’s never meant to come out.
Who stands to benefit by me paying 150 a month and how racy would it be to make a violation happen. The technician is paid and the company is paid. Why would they want this to end ?

Completely predatory company. Device will read "next service date: mm/dd/yyyy" but they don't tell you that's the latest date before lockout, not that this date is 9 days AFTER your scheduled service date - when they can charge you a late fee of over $50 bc you "missed your scheduled service date." IT SHOULD ALERT YOU 7 DAYS BEFORE YOUR ACTUAL SCHEDULED SERVICE DATE!!! Such a predatory practice. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Not worth the hassle.

I can't begin to describe how much of a scam pos joke this company is. First, their devices, despite how much they want to make guarantees based on nothing, WILL drain your battery clean. I have a 20000 mile car, battery was great before. Now, i jump it every time i need to start it. Oh! but if your battery dies, you have to pay 50 bucks for a code, and spend a day at the shop getting a calibration, regardless of how recent your last calibration just was. yeah so HOW ARE YOU GONNA BE THE REASON MY BATTERY DIES AND THEN CHARGE ME BECAUSE OF SAID DEAD BATTERY. its a catch 22. this is the biggest scam in the united states. your money would be better invested in the sketchy guy in the alley wearing a trenchcoat offering you magic beans to grow a giant beanstalk than it is being spent towards "Draeger". I am seriously, no joke, contemplating going to jail violating my pre trial diversion just so i can rip that device out of my car with my own bare hands, and break it into tiny itsy bitsy pieces, and never have to hear the condescending smug voices of the guy forcing me to pay 50 bucks for a code for a problem HIS DEVICE CAUSED

I got the device calibrated on the 19th of April for over 100 dollars. I am locked out by the 23rd by virtue of dead battery caused by their device. Supervisor argues with me telling me that you get a notification of 5 days before lockout. alright big dawg, if i have 23 apples and i give Luke 19 apples, how many do i have hm? 4. IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN 5 DAYS HOW THE HELL ARE YOU GONNA TELL ME IM LYING WHEN 5 DAYS HASN'T EVEN ELAPSED. joke joke joke joke of a company.

I have been reading reviews but what good are they when they dont state where they had the service in the first place. Not helpful.

I have been trying to get my interlock out since November, now in January, I ring for appointments no available spots. I missed one appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. Every time I ring I get different information about costs I finally demand an email with confirmation of cost. When speaking with this company always demand it in email. I will never use this company again!!!!!

I just had my device for a year and just had it removed and I want to say a big thankyou to mark at the Smithfield location in Adelaide for everything he and there other gentleman there for the support they offered there friendlyness and positive attitude throughout my journey. A massive lesson was learnt but you guys made it easier for me every month when I went in there. Thanks guys

I will no longer buy products from this company nor will I support them and I will spread the fact they allow a small company sell their products when the owner of the company abuses his wife and son so bad he is a evil man and for that I will not support Companies that support Such behavior.

I'm so elated with the service I receive from Draeger. The price is great. Everything about them is great. I use a service center in Lowell Massachusetts. I pay less than other companies. I certainly wish I didn't have to go through this. But as I said I'm very happy with my service and pricing. Thank you Draeger/Jake
